I was so impressed Staff excellent and engaging Food good and plenty of it Prices are extremely reasonable considering what you get A lovely place to have a drink or meal. Will definitely be returning

Lovely food and atmosphere, with great food served and very well presented. Service was spot on and loved seeing the photos with history of the area adorning the walls.

Should of read the menu properly as there mega breakfast was far from mega

Lovely light and airy. Pleasant staff. Coffee brought on a saucer with a little dish of sweets, nice touch. Had a large homemade scone with butter and jam.

Lovely cafe serving yummy food! After trying another cafe that was too busy, we found Home Café, and went in for a breakfast. The three of us ordered a breakfast, and milkshake, it was absolutely delicious. The cafe itself had a nice atmosphere and was just off the main street opposite SportsDirect.

Only popped in for coffee as we were about to head home had a friendly cheery greeting as we entered the place was clean and tidy and we will be visiting again as the menu looked really good, great choice of food all reasonably priced

Came for breakfast; the food was very nice and prices were good, along with a speedy service too. Inside was spacious with comfortable seating.

An awful waste of money. 2 omelette and chips that were cold. A veggie breakfast (mega) that was tiny, gross and cold, I said I wanted toast and the guy put his fingers in my food telling me it was toast and it was warm, I tried saying toast is bread that's toasted but he was so rude I couldn't get a word in. Tried to get a refund but was shot down. So rude. £30 in the bin.

Cheap but not cheerful. Fish chips peas, peas cold and served with a side salad of brown edged lettuce. Nerds work

Was a cold day and were able to have a good healthy breakfast with proper tea nothing poncy and the coffee was good too, staff were attentive and not overbearing dog friendly

Ordered a breakfast and was served a raw egg with hair in, cold beans, undercooked and cold toast and a drink that had kitchen towel floating in it. Avoid.

Good wheelchair access with space between tables. I had a roasted vegetable panini with goats cheese, this came with a generous side salad. My companions had a mini veggie breakfast and a baked potato with beans and cheese. All were very good. The decaff latte was full flavoured and the hot chocolate and mocha were good too, all came with a couple of little chocolates.

Found by chance and would recommend from a food perspective. Only one thing I would recommend and that would be to monitor the toilets as that wasn't such a pleasant experience. Food was lovely and quick.

Always pop in here from when in Aberystwyth from Shropshire. A fantastic little cafe with lovely food. Veggie breakfast and Lasagne are superb!

Called in here after travelling from Shropshire for a day trip ready for a bite to eat, we used this cafe earlier in the year and received great service, good food at very reasonable prices. So we thought we would like to experience the same again, we certainly weren't disappointed, great service from the girls working today, great food, quick service, again at very reasonable prices. Cafe is nice and clean and warm,really set us up for the day exploring Aberystwyth.

The cafe is nice and clean the staff are friendly, prices are ok,, I ordered the mega breakfast but I’m very disappointed, should be called the small breakfast as it only has one of each item apart from the eggs,, mushrooms taste like they were cooked in garlic oil will not be coming back,

The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We were very happy. It was mid-afternoon and not busy.

Lovely food, latè was very nice and I'd definitely go to Home Cafè again. They don't do poached eggs

*edit* Not so great 2nd visit. No glass with my bottle of beer and a large chip out of my plate. The crispiest fish and chips so lush I forgot to take a picture - just scoffed it! Lovely cappuccino on a heart shaped saucer. Loved the sparkly walls in the ladies toilets.

A lovely place to have coffee or a meal. The members of staff were very friendly and the premises were clean and comfortable.

Love that this is dog friendly however the food could do with some improvements. One of our party asked for a tuna mayo cheese melt and there was no mayo and there was no mayo offered. Not the best. Also had the chicken cheese and tomato baguette and it was all dry and needed the option for mayo or sauce.

Always pop in when visiting Aberystwyth mainly due to being dog friendly food and service really good all at reasonable prices

Good price, good extras like chips, but mains I think could use a little work. Vegi burger was a tad disappointing but easily made better with some cheese or maybe some burger sauce. Bacon baguette was lovely so would recommend! Still enjoyed our time there. People are very kind!

First visit but certainly one to be repeated. Delicious and generous portions wise, and amazingly good value. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely cafe, great menu choices and prices and quick service. Would recommend and would go back when next in the area. Some of our family had already been in a couple of times and they took us to it. Glad they did. Lots of food and drink choices, a toilet there and lovely tasty food. Kids menu too.

The service here is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for the girls

Welcoming, child-friendly, excellent service. Food arrived hot and delicious perhaps ten minutes after ordering. They have two highchairs which they offered soon after we arrived. The toilets are out the door at the back of the downstairs room. Lovely cafe.

Very friendly and welcoming. Had the mini vegetarian breakfast which was just right and arrived in just a few minutes. Dogs are welcome.

Avoid this cafe! Went today with my Husband, waited around 50 mins for food that never arrived, husband went to ask about our order and was told 10 more minutes. 10 more minutes past, still no food, the cafe was empty so could not understand why it was taking so long to make a cheese and ham toastie? After over an hour since we actually ordered, we went to ask once more where our food was, only to be met by the most arrogant and threatening male who I presume was the owner, he verbally abused my husband insinuating that somehow it was our fault? He shouted a barrage of abuse so close to us his spit was hitting me in the face. Never have I ever felt so intimidated. I will never be going back to this cafe and I strongly urge that others do the same.

Ordered food and when it came it was not what we had ordered, and they did not offer to correct it and when asked to correct it they did not. I was left with food that I do not eat. Waste of time and money. Terrible service left very disappointed.

Visited today 21/06/2023 What a bad experience, ordered food and drinks, drinks arrived , but 50 mins later still no food, asked about our order to be told another 10 mins, it’s only a cheese toasted sandwich, received no apology, the cafe was not busy so could not understand the delay, 10 more minutes past still no food , asked for refund because could not wait any longer, met with verbal abuse from owner , whom became aggressive and started shouting at us, felt scared for my safety , will not be visiting again, after we complained another couple also complained about the wait, very rude, terrible service

Can't see very well so ordered breakfast at the counter, said I couldn't eat a mega breakfast so was advised to have the small, I queried that I got 1 sausage, 1 bacon and an egg, I was told yes. I got a bloody vegetarian breakfast, taste like poo, being a local too I definitely will not be going back. Oh and no, you don't send food back in cafe's. Coffee was good

Visited today at about 2.00. Absolutely loved this place. So welcoming to myself, the family and our dog. Food was lovely, plenty of choice and pretty quick to be served. I will definitely return every time I'm back in Aberystwyth.

We really enjoyed our time at Home Cafe

A great cafe, called in for a bite to eat before our day out, both opted for the sausage baguettes, which were really good, the baguettes were fresh and had a nice crusty outer, the coffee was also very good.Thefood and dinks were well presented and served by a lovely waitress who helped me with the Wi-fi

Ordered a full breakfast and it turned up Luke warm. Told the waitress who quickly took it away. When it arrived back it had just been microwaved and still not hot. Yuk. Offered a refund took it and found another place that cooked on site.

Food was cold when brought out, informed staff who took food back. Brought the same food back out after reheating it in a microwave. Specifically said they will not offer fresh food, but checked that the food was hot which it clearly wasn't. I'm not sure what was worse the cold food, the attitude of staff or the fact they thought it was acceptable to put food in the microwave to reheat..

Needed a snack lunch and this cafe did not disappoint. Plenty of clean seating both upstairs and downstairs. Toilets were available too and were clean. Food was delicious and delivered to our table within 10 minutes of ordering. All food locally sourced. Definitely recommend.

Lovely reasonably priced cafe restaurant that is both smart and very clean. Much better food on offer than most of the local pubs. Superb friendly service offering excellent and good quality food at affordable prices. The cafe area is very well appointed - especially upstairs which is a bit hidden away. I would give the place 6 stars if I could!

Service was not great , besides the lady that initially greeted us by calling across the room to sit anywhere and order at the till, that was as friendly as it got, service with a smile not here sadly, Food was just as dismal, cold chips hard congealed food clearly over nuked in a mic, and that was true of all the food at tables around us too, I give this place 2 stars because the baked goods on offer were ok but that was it

Nice place, ordered an advertised crusty bacon,egg,mushroom baguette. Baguette was not crusty unfortunately so was a little disappointed.

Veg was cold and under cooked meat was nice

We had a jacket potato and all day veggie breakfast. Lovely staff, looked clean. Potato was rather dry, could have done with some sauce of some sort with the chilli. Will come again. Reasonable prices too. Dogs are also welcome.

Lovely little daytime cafe, staff are so friendly and helpful. We were served by a girl with brunette hair and she was so nice to my nan who is disabled. Will come again!

Amazing food, nice cozy cafe with beautiful interior design

Firstly, the second we entered the establishment, we were greated with friendly and informative staff. We ordered the Mega breakfast and the sausage and fried onion hot baguette, for the last one I even asked for extra cheese and they provided it. Both breakfasts were really nice, came extremely quickly and were fulfilling. The coffee was particularly good and presented uniquely with some extra chocolates on the side that we ate before taking the pictures. It was also great value for money.

Just that really. Quite roomy in there, quickly served & reasonably tasty food in clean surroundings. On the down side too many dogs allowed in at least 8 dogs at lunch time. I have dog but wouldn't take him to somewhere people were eating even if it was allowed.

Nice cafe, fast service and reasonably priced

Would of rated 0 .I have been here 3 times the first was good the 2nd not so good we thought we would give it another chance. Today with 5 friends. We ordered the sunny breakfasts.the beans were Stone cold the lady warmed them up .the toast was only done 1 side. The bacon was cremated. The sausage was cold.the service was shocking this is definitely our last time .the staff wasn't bothered at all.

Came here for lunch. I had the mixed grill and Mum had the chicken kebab. The portions were big but comfortable. Also had a glass of wine. You have to get a table first then order at the counter. We sat upstairs. Staff very friendly and service was quite quick. They also do all day breakfasts. Would recommend.

Visited Aberystwyth on a day trip and after a walk around the town we were getting a bit peckish. Walking past we saw the menu/specials and decided to call in. Friendly staff, quick service and very nice food at good prices. Next time we're in Aberystwyth we'll definitely visit Home Cafe again.

Looking for a local cafe to stop and have a bite to eat and coffee. Had a mushroom omelette with peas. Excellent. Truly , and the peas were so sweet. Fantastic. Friendly staff, lovely food. Good variety. All day breakfast. Well worth a visit if your in the area

Very friendly staff, food excellent and the prices are the cheapest in Aberystwyth. Lots of indoor seating (including upstairs). Outdoor seating if you want to watch the world go by.

Whilst visiting the UK from Germany for the first time in 3 years I've notice the remarkable increase in prices. This place really took advantage of that and were charging well over the odds. Even to the point of serving smaller than average portions of cake(s). Staff were polite (at those prices they really ought to be). A friendly Jack Russel was constantly nipping about the place without a care in the world, which warmed my heart.

Popped in here 3 times here during the week visit. Decent brekkie (on a plate!), good carvery dinner on Sunday, and some coffee and cakes. All very decent, perfectly hit the spot and good service.

We only had drinks and cake, which was lovely, but heard everyone else saying the food was great. The staff work their socks off to & stay friendly and professional at all times.

What a bright clean place to eat, lovely furnishings and good food, we called in for breakfast it was professionally presented and delicious too, the only reason we knocked a star off (it would of only been half star knocked off if l could) is we feel as the food could of been a little warmer maybe heat plates up first. Will definitely call in again.

Whilst on holiday in Aberystwyth and walking round town there are quite a few different types of eateries, making it difficult decision of where to eat for lunch? Home Café seamed very clean from the outside and was popular, fortunately, it was not too popular as to queue for a place. On entering I was immediately greeted with friendly staff making it a pleasant start. Having ordered some food and drinks. It wasn’t very long before I was served my meal courteously. I thoroughly enjoyed the tasty fish and chips. I was then allowed to chill for a while in a nice environment. On returning to the town a couple of days later I had already made my mind up that I would return to Home Café to try some of their other food. I was not disappointed.

Fantastic. So much to choose from on the Menu. Food presentation brilliant and so yummy. Staff very friendly. Dog friendly. Over all a highly recommended place to visit for Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
