This was the worst café experience I’ve had in years, and I’m truly annoyed. I took my vegan son here for brunch, expecting the delicious offerings promised on their website – pancake stacks, specialty coffee, smoothies, milkshakes, and a vegetarian brunch and lunch menu. Add to that the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, and it sounded worth the 34-mile round trip to Inverurie. I couldn’t have been more wrong. We arrived around midday to discover the café had practically no food. Not only that, but seating was a nightmare. Customers were crammed into the tiny space in front of the serving area, yet we weren’t allowed to sit in the empty conservatory. The “menu” consisted of two items: granola or a breakfast wrap with eggs. That’s it. My son reluctantly chose the granola, and I settled for a mocha and a slice of stale vegan orange cake. To add insult to injury, the drinks, while tasty, were ridiculously small. Then came the kicker – they charged me £21.20 for this pathetic spread. That’s an average of £5.30 per item for minimal food, tiny drinks, and a total lack of choice. The assistant behind the counter was frosty, bordering on rude, snapping at customers and repeating, “This is our menu today,” without a hint of apology or explanation. She even carried on a loud conversation with another customer about eating meat – in a vegetarian café, no less. When a fellow vegan customer asked if this limited menu was permanent, the assistant gave the same robotic response, suggesting this is the sad state of things going forward. Given the extortionate prices, lacklustre menu, and unwelcoming service, I can’t see how they’ll stay in business. I certainly won’t be going back, and I strongly advise others to steer clear. What a waste of time and money.

I met a mixed group of 8 friends here recently for a Friday ‘liquid’ lunch and on arriving was surprised to find the bar really empty and the room temperature quite cold. The staff we dealt with were helpful, friendly and quick to serve our drinks however they all looked really scruffy and unkempt which, while this probably fits the Brewdog ‘hipster’ image, doesn’t do much for customer confidence around hygiene….which brings me to the toilets…a horrible dark corridor leads to the back where I saw the gents was out of order meaning the only other option was the disabled toilet, the ladies was just awful, again dark, no soap and the sink was dirty in the corners, so I couldn’t bring myself to brave the cubicle and opted to wait until we moved on. Most of the group had burgers which they all said were good, but myself and one other in the party had Macaroni Cheese. This title on the menu should be challenged under the trade description act, as it was just wet macaroni shaped pasta and we couldn’t taste or find any cheese. It also came in a small tin bowl and looked pretty basic, so a shocking offering for £8. Anyone who ordered sides were told when the food came that it ‘was all on the plates’ so my side of chips was put with another order. They also don’t take cash, which is a pain if you are out in a large group! So all in all a pretty poor grubby (overpriced) experience, and after this visit will definitely not be going back.

Unfriendly service. When I asked for milk in my coffee this was obviously a request too far.It was 2.30pm and made to feel I shouldn't have entered the shop as the floor was being mopped.Zero customer service on display unfortunately today.

Visited recently for lunch, lovely meals and Coffee and reasonably priced too. The tuna melt is spot on. Great place to meet up with friends and family and made to feel very welcome. Will definitely be back the next I visit Inverurie

Only went in cos Greggs was busy and won't be rushing back. Totally disinterested, gum chewing assistant looked like she didn't want to be there. No acknowledgement of my order, just a grunt. Medium coffee was actually quite large and decent tasting. Cake overpriced at £2.50 when you can get 4 for a quid downstairs in the shop. Not a good experience.
