Dreamy Goat Coffee Co. in Aberdeenshire

This was the worst café experience I’ve had in years, and I’m truly annoyed. I took my vegan son here for brunch, expecting the delicious offerings promised on their website – pancake stacks, specialty coffee, smoothies, milkshakes, and a vegetarian brunch and lunch menu. Add to that the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, and it sounded worth the 34-mile round trip to Inverurie. I couldn’t have been more wrong. We arrived around midday to discover the café had practically no food. Not only that, but seating was a nightmare. Customers were crammed into the tiny space in front of the serving area, yet we weren’t allowed to sit in the empty conservatory. The “menu” consisted of two items: granola or a breakfast wrap with eggs. That’s it. My son reluctantly chose the granola, and I settled for a mocha and a slice of stale vegan orange cake. To add insult to injury, the drinks, while tasty, were ridiculously small. Then came the kicker – they charged me £21.20 for this pathetic spread. That’s an average of £5.30 per item for minimal food, tiny drinks, and a total lack of choice. The assistant behind the counter was frosty, bordering on rude, snapping at customers and repeating, “This is our menu today,” without a hint of apology or explanation. She even carried on a loud conversation with another customer about eating meat – in a vegetarian café, no less. When a fellow vegan customer asked if this limited menu was permanent, the assistant gave the same robotic response, suggesting this is the sad state of things going forward. Given the extortionate prices, lacklustre menu, and unwelcoming service, I can’t see how they’ll stay in business. I certainly won’t be going back, and I strongly advise others to steer clear. What a waste of time and money.

I found the staff terribly rude when visiting here with my friend yesterday. One girl particularly. She should perhaps go on a customer service course to learn how not to take her bad day out on guests. I have been here several times during covid days (must be under new management) so will definitely not be going here again.

Checked online for cafes in Inverurie and spotted this place. Hadn’t heard of it but went “on spec” Fabulous wee place. I had the Hot Halloumi bagel & my friend had the NY style bagel. We both loved our choices but there were so many other tasty options that we will most definitely return again

The menu is mostly brunch items We had the Mexican wrap which was lovely The coffee is lovely and smooth , only negative the cups are too small The chairs are old fashioned wooden ones Staff were polite and organised Would have given 5 star o if the cups were bigger and the chairs were more comfortable Also has an outdoor seating space which is a bonus

Excellent cheese sandwich/ toastie for lunch . Excellent selection of other snacks and cakes. Service good .Staff friendly and helpful.

.....vegans read on We hadn’t appreciated that the place was veggie, but that doesn’t affect our comments below. Had the food been tasty enough we would have been happy enough. Let’s start at the beginning… There was a notice saying 'please wait to be seated'. The lady asked us to find a table then come back to the counter to order. So we found a table, found something we might want to eat (yes, our fault), and I went back to order. What number table. I had actually looked back to see if there was a number on the table. There wasn’t. There was, however a spoon in a glass with the number on. I ordered DG bruschetta. For him I asked for curried scrambled eggs. She asked if we’d like drinks, I said, coffee, possibly latte OK. And some flapjack. Thanks that’s £30.50. So we waited. During the 20 minutes or so, I watched a server clean a table, skirting the condiments. But said condiments included salt and pepper grinders, which were not cleaned. The coffee came first. A bit of a shame since I wanted it to go with the flapjack. It was a small cup not a mug, and a bit less than hot. I had ordered grilled haloumi as an extra for him indoors, to satisfy his omnivore tastes. His scrambled eggs, which were actually shredded omelette, certainly not scrambled, were tepid. Served in a shallow bowl, which makes it quite difficult to cut the toast. But the chutney on the toast was very nice, he tells me. Now to mine. The description includes roasted peppers and sliced nectarines. I didn’t notice either. It was served cold. The beef tomato slices were quite nice, the orange tomatoes tasty. The bruschetta and pesto were ok. The piece de resistance was the flapjack. Loads of fruit and nuts, but not much to hold them all together. Very nice though That’s the best I can offer. Given that neither dish was served hot, and whilst the place was fairly busy, some people were just having quickies, I am at a loss to see why it took so long to serve. There was a notice saying feel free to have water, just grab a glass, but no indication of where said water station was He tells me the loos were lovely and clean. The rest of the place was just ok. At the price, I think it was a bit OTT. But I’m not used to vegan food

Simply the best breakfast/brunch/lunch cafe around. The coffee is superb and the food is suuuuuper tasty. Don't miss out on the burrito or the french toast! It's dog friendly (our Bernedoodle loves it) and the staff are all so welcoming which makes this place so great.

Lovely visit to this super little cafe. Really nice staff, cute little venue, easy location and tasty vegetarian and vegan food options. Only suggestion is to drop dairy, the plant based milks are so much tastier, ethical and environmentally friendly.

Just nipped in here for some breakfast and coffee. Really good quality of food on offer and impressive amount of gourmet coffee able to buy aswell. Service was swift and staff friendly, will come again .

Its a rarity to find a cafe with great coffee AND food but this is one of them! Attention to detail is high for both and the place is clean and bright. Staff are friendly and committed

I was in Inverurie and when we were heading back home, we popped in past for lunch. Ideal place for me as a veggie. Today I had the Mexican Poke Bowl, something different to the cheese and tomato panini I seem to get everywhere else. It was delicious and tasty and not overpowering, with a nice warmth from the mayo and my aunt who was with me enjoyed her toastie. It is always fine to get something a bit different. The coffee was also delicious as well. It is a little out the town, but in a cosy place like here, you wouldn't need to be in the centre of Inverurie (there are plenty places as there is). Would I go again, yes!!

As I was in town yesterday, I was in there for a takeaway coffee and a fine piece. As a veggie, I am looking into places for having lunch which cater for me. I have found a place to try and the coffee and biscoff shortbread I had was tasty, my aunt who was with me tried the coffee and my piece and said it was "tasty". I hope to have my lunch there soon! (It will be for a table of 3). Some of the best places are off the beaten path as they say.

We popped in for lunch and were very impressed by staff knowledge on gluten free options, and their care over checking certain items before serving. The food and coffee were delicious! And a nice cosy homely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Coffee and smoothies excellent. If you order toast you’ll get one slice and it’ll cost you £4! Significantly overpriced! And if you ask for another slice you’ll just be told no unless you pay for it! All of our food came out at different times which isn’t acceptable either! Menu is mainly breakfast items, sandwiches and soup wouldn’t go a miss.

I took my disabled friend here for a coffee and something to eat. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Very friendly. They really made us feel welcome. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back.

I came here on Saturday morning. Service was great. Coffees were great. Prices were fair. Nice wee outside seating area. Plenty of parking. Would come again.

Had a fantastic family lunch and coffee here, sat out in the sun on a Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious and the coffee was fantastic too. Well worth a visit. We will be back.

This was possibly one of the best smashed avocado on toast that I have ever had. It was amazing! My friend had the brownie which she said was truly delicious and the coffees were fab. Really friendly staff, a lovely menu selection (and we are not vegetarian!) and plenty of sanitiser for guests use. It’s dog friendly with water bowls for pooch. We sat outside, in the April sun, and it was just lovely!!

We stopped at this lovely little cafe for a coffee and spot of lunch. Nice location set back off the road, nice little conservatory room, quirky colourful, light and airy. Very nice staff, they allowed me to try the turmeric latte and if I didn’t like it would let me change, but I did love it. I chose the Jack fruit wrap, very tasty and hubby had the banana and berry toasts, delicious.

Lovely food here, I particularly like the breakfast burritos, really nice!. The coffee is good, and it's a bonus to be able to take the dog in too.

This was our first visit to this cafe and we were delighted with the variety of very tasty and healthy food.

Great atmosphere and service. Food is lovely but the coffee? It is simply delicious. Top Marks and my favourites so far are - Kiss the Hippo - George Street Dear Green - Rwanda We have drank both at home during Lockdown but what a joy...

Great food, can’t fault it! I had the avocado toast and a cookie, they were both very tasty. Staff are nice. Outdoor seating available. Would recommend
