William Strachan in Aberdeenshire

This is a lovely shop with a small cafe with ice cream counter. My grandchild loves the ice cream but not a clean table or clean seat today. All cleared but not wiped. Seats and tables covered in crumbs. Very offputting.

This is a very small coffee shop inside a newsagent/toy shop but don't let that put you off as they serve about the best coffee in Inverurie and their scones are delicious. Either sit in or take out, you won't be disappointed. Or try their fantastic ice cream!!

Visited today with my mother for a quick bite to eat. Staff were very friendly (think our server was called Jackie) Toasties and drinks arrived at same time and both were lovely. Will definitely be back again.

One of my favourite places to go for coffee in Inverurie and the best value coffee they also have a non dairy option available love the homemade tray bakes and the fresh soups they also sell toasties pannines wraps and if you fancy a bacon butty for breakfast this is where to go they also have a great selection of ice cream the best in Inverurie the staff are always polite and helpful even when very busy plus it's less then five minutes from the train station and bus stops

Great ice cream and friendly staff. Shop is also great with selections of cards and gifts, the place to go for helium balloons 🎈

Awful customer service! The older workers are so lovely and helpful but a few of the younger ones are extremely rude and intimidating to me and my friends. Visited a couple of times during my lunch hour at school and they have all been horrendously bad experiences. I have also found a hair in my toasty before and I wouldn’t be surprised, with the lack of hygiene that the deli has and the girls in the kitchen never have their hair tied up properly. Would never recommend to anyone, worst shop in the whole of Inverurie I would say! Completely outrageous.

Great local business selling newspaper's, large selection of toys, cards, quality gifts and ice cream. Not to be missed and really good service and value for money. Well worth a browse

A superb family run store, come ice cream parlour, coffee shop and book/ store. It has a great selection in all its departments and staff are very helpful and basically polite to customers. Great place to relax on a 'hot' day, for a coffee or ice cream. Maybe a browse around the store would be more to your liking?

Popped in for takeaway lunch and requested a chicken wrap with cheese... specifically said no salad twice to the young girl when I was ordering and paying ... we got home (2 miles away) to find tomatoes in my wrap!! Had to bin the whole thing as I HATE tomatoes ;( not sure I will be back for a wrap!

When i am in Inverurie i always try to pop into the shop. They have some very nice gifts but i always get an ice cream. They have a selection of different flavours and the staff are always really nice.

Strachan's is a otherwise brilliant shop. Good food, wide selection of products ranging from gifts to toys etc and great customer service. However, the waiting times are ridiculously long and the shop is very crowded, especially during the lunch hour for the local academy. To improve upon this perhaps instigate a rule in regards to not waiting inside and crowding the place after you have received your food?

Was not impressed with the food at all in terms of quality or value , left the place smelling as if i have been in a chipper.

Lovely items, freezing cold unfortunately. How do the owners cope as they serve their customers and restock shelves? Maybe get a wee portable radiator? Feeling genuine concern for the hardworking owners of this store!

Moved away 15 year ago, the shop has changed so much, and now houses a sit in coffee shop, shop has opened right up, but still have the toy department up stairs. Clean tidy and inviting. Staff are friendly and took time to tell me about the changes to the shop.

The ice cream here is to die for with a multitude of flavours. Also friendly and polite staff. Set in the amazing town of Inverurie with views almost as good as that blummin ice cream. Cannot wait till my next trip up.

A bit disappointing, not good coffee and few seats, rather cramped.We wont be back, but give it 3 stars as the staff were nice.

I have been here many times for coffee and lunch. Very good coffee and lovely portion sizes at lunchtime. A wee bit overpriced, but the restaurant is attractive and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Great place to buy childrens toys, and reasonably priced toys, although I do go elsewhere for my cards.

Tried it one day after being recommended by a colleague and I must say I was surprised. They make a good sandwich here and I have been back a few times since. It is another good place in Inverurie to get a deli sandwich!

Limited seating, but good coffee. Friendly staff. Only seating for about 5 or 6 people, but fine for a quick coffee whilst shopping.

We are regular ice cream subscribers but this is also a great wee place to have a wonder round for gifts and for the kids to pick up their favourite comic. Toymaster upstairs too also very handy.

Great choice of ice creams but sadly they don't live up to their flavours. As a massive Maltesers fan i was excited to try the Malteser ice cream. Sadly it just tasted of cheap vanilla ice cream with Maltesers added which had no resemblance to a Malteser at all. It just tasted bland and of cheap ingredients. Sadly not strachans fault but perhaps a change of supplier would be a good idea. My sons mars bar ice cream was same bland taste as mine. It's a shame as this is a lovely shop spoiled by this. You can't fault the staff as always efficient and friendly.

Loved the ice cream here, and the staff were very friendly. The young girls were very helpful and knew the best ice cream types! Been here a few times now for ice cream and me and my kids will continue to come. It also has a toy shop upstairs which my children love!

Strachans has been revamped and added to the great service it has provided Inverurie for decades by the provision of irresistible food and an attractively priced gift department with a very tempting range on display
