Ordered an afternoon tea for my gran’s 80th birthday. Staff are very accommodating to allergy and dietary requirements when placing the order as my grandad does not eat chicken. When I picked up the afternoon tea, staff warmly welcomed and quickly served us despite it being busy. When I unboxed and served the afternoon tea for the party, we were amazed with the amount of food we had. A variety of sandwiches such as a range of chicken options, ham and cheese, cheese and pickle, tuna and egg mayo. Each box had one sausage roll, scone with jam and butter, two choc dipped strawberries and different types of tray cakes. We were so impressed with the amount of food and the quality (the scones and choc strawberries went down a treat with the grandparents!) Will 100% use Sally’s for future afternoon teas.

On a very wet day we were recommended to come here and were not disappointed. Warm and friendly welcome, excellent service and delicious lunch. Akira and Carol both attended to little details without asking - ie Carol serving an extra large portion of chips when I declined other veg that were on the menu (brother in law pleased to help me out!) and Akira giving my sister a takeaway box as she couldn't manage the whole of her panini. Brillliant. I live in Devon so may not be passing through again but would wholeheartedly recommend visiting.

Very good cafe and friendly staff! It feels like home. I had a take away wrap and it was delicious. Home made ingredients make the difference when it comes to serve food.

Gordon and Teresa's upgrade to this pub has been a great thing for Banff. It's enjoyed by both locals and holiday-makers, and is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink. It's great to still have a decent pub in town, run by a local couple, who are willing to go that extra mile to satisfy their customers.

My wife, who had been here before with a friend, suggested that we pop n for afternoon tea/coffee. I was impressed with the service here and the scones were very good. The Stitch House is not only a cafe but a community hub. They provide an outlet for the sale of local crafts which are well displayed, not only in the shop but also in the cafe section. On entering the cafe section, there is a small kiddies' play area to the left. They also provide a Youth Cafe on Friday and Saturday evenings where the youngsters of the village can meet in a safe environment. I was really ipressed with these premises and will certainly be back.

Travelled 2 hours after reading reviews about this cafe - which seemed like an idyllic place to take my mother for coffee and cake, bit of scenery and a day out. Checked winter opening times which advised opening at 11:30 on Sunday - We arrived slightly early and enjoyed a short walk. We decided to go back to car when THE cafe had not opened by 11:50 - when at the car we saw a lady open the cafe - so excitedly made our way over. I asked the lady if the cafe was open for coffee to which she replied "it is but the kettle takes an hour to boil" and she walked away. Very disappointed. Had the opening times stated 1pm -- there would have been no issue. However no explanation or apology given.

A warm welcome (including a roaring stove) - and tasty dishes - made our visit here very enjoyable. Well done - we hope to back soon.

Visited here for Sunday "carvery" whilst staying onsite. Service was excellent by all staff members, however we were expecting a carvery where you help yourself to a selection of roast meats and veg. This wasn't the case it was just a regular Sunday roast prepared in the kitchen and served at your table. The roast itself was very average, the only veg being peas and carrots along with cheap tasting pigs in blankets. This was priced at around £21 pp for 2 courses,I think it was done as cheap as possible. Although the food tasted absolutely fine it was by no means anything other than average and definitely not a carvery.
