A lovely little cafe lovely food really nice staff .the only thing that spoilt it for us .it is a small cafe and the table next to us had 2 dogs which they could not control properly jumping at table and sniffing at us the couple that had did not bother but when eating I do not want dogs sniffing around me.for the size of cafe I Don,t think dogs should be allowed or the owners look after them.

Great bakery with scrumptious pies, traditional pasties, and fantastic morning&butter rolls! Definitely good value for money!

Have to admit we would not normally stop here, it's clearly designed for the "ladies who lunch" we had been gifted a voucher so tried it for lunch, which was OK but not very well seasoned and they had one of those trendy pepper grinders which require "krypton factor" skills to operate. That said the service was spot on and the room very trendy, however I found the chairs quite uncomfortable. That said it was very busy (see title) and I would reccomed booking, our £30 voucher covered all but 80p of lunch with 2 drinks, I would say OK for a coffee on the way up north...

Been enjoying the products of this bakery since the early 1960's, but after 25 years away from home, the bean and potato pies, plain bridies, violets, and mocha cakes were just some of the items I missed so much. How disappointed was I when moving back to find this bakery in decline, the meat in the pies and bridies is awful, they don't make the tattie and bean anymore, the shops have a feel of sparse, "soon to be closed" about them, many if the much loved bakery items discontinued, I remember as a young man meeting Mr Goodfellow frequently when he was performing his shop inspections, a lovely man, but he would be so disappointed in the state of the business. Strange thing, I tried the JM Bakery, and their bean and tattie pies, whole bigger, had that lovely familiar flavour, as did the bridies. So so sad to see Goodfellow and Stevens is not the premier bakery in Angus anymore.

Found it tucked away upstairs. Place mobbed as it’s newly opened. Now too far for my mum to get to, best for people with cars. Till operator asked if I’d like to try the new summer blend, no mention that it costs extra. It was disgusting to be perfectly honest. Last person’s cups an plates STILL in front of me. Not impressed and won’t be back. I’m not alone in thinking this as the couple sat next to me thought the coffee was atrocious too.
