This is a quirky little tearoom which is great for a light lunch or to enjoy coffee and cake. The food is always fresh and delicious, the home baking is superb, and the service is always friendly. The mismatched china everything is served on is cute. And on a sunny day, the outside decked area is a lovely spot to have lunch and an absolute suntrap.

We tried here for the first time today. There’s a very clean, fresh and welcoming atmosphere in this very attractive cafe, situated near the stunning Royal Botanic Garden. There’s a very appealing choice of cakes and scones etc. We shared a cheese and chive scone which was delicious, plus we enjoyed excellent tea and coffee. We intend to return when we are next on foot, in Inverleith and wholeheartedly recommend Krem Karamel.

Had a lovely lunch today in Raasay from this wee hidden gem. Lovely piping hot soup, toasties, ice cream, coffee and cakes.

Pessimo

Always a lovely welcome. You can go in for a pastry and coffee at cheap prices, or a more expensive meal. Owners go out their way to deliver good service, which is why they have repeat customers. Lasagne recommended with cheese. A rare gem. ✨️

Unexpectedly good strong coffee at the Ardmhor ferry terminal on Barra. The sausage and Stornoway black pudding rolls were stuffed full and encased in the lightest flakiest pastry. In addition there was a good selection of cakes. There is an outdoor deck overlooking the Sound of Barra. A hidden gem and definitely worth arriving early for your ferry to Eriskay.

Visited here for Sunday "carvery" whilst staying onsite. Service was excellent by all staff members, however we were expecting a carvery where you help yourself to a selection of roast meats and veg. This wasn't the case it was just a regular Sunday roast prepared in the kitchen and served at your table. The roast itself was very average, the only veg being peas and carrots along with cheap tasting pigs in blankets. This was priced at around £21 pp for 2 courses,I think it was done as cheap as possible. Although the food tasted absolutely fine it was by no means anything other than average and definitely not a carvery.

Love this place. Astoundingly good patisserie, great coffee, warm and friendly staff. I usually just pick up cakes to take away, but I had lunch here today - the freshly made lamb shawarma wrap with hummus was delicious with well balanced flavours

If I lived in Nairn, this would be my go-to café every day. The freshly made food is extremely tasty and the selection is extensive. The naturally endearing charisma of the owner, and her staff, add an extra satisfying portion of decadent spice. High streets everywhere need a place like this..

Tucked away on Orbiston Street (behind Windmillhill Street) this is a cafe you could easily miss but well it's worth seeking it out. Parking is available and there's an outside seating area for those sunny Motherwell days. Run by Hope United Church, this welcoming, family friendly cafe space serves excellent freshly prepared food (paninis, wraps, baked potatoes, Scottish breakfasts, home made soup) and some of the best coffee in Motherwell. The only downside is... it's currently only open on Fridays and Saturdays. A great spot for an end of week treat.
