I had a good coffee and traybake here . It all new inside now and a good place to call. Especially if u into coffee. Or delicious traybakes

Situated on Central Promenade, Newcastle, Co.Down the covered outdoor seating gives a truly Mediterrean atmosphere as you admire the views of the harbour and Slieve Donard, the highest peak in Northern Ireland, as it sweeps down to the sea. Choose one of the fabulous Base Coffee drinks or select from the range of herbal teas. For morning snacks try the sausage rolls, croisants or scone with fresh jam. Then later in the day you must try the home baked apple pie of one of the delicious (but huge) tray bakes. Base Coffee is not just a coffee shop, it's a hub for many regulars and undoubtedly you will very quickly feel welcome.

Food was absolutely delicious very friendly staff and atmosphere ..have been numerous times and alway gets 5 out of 5 for me

Unfortunately Holly's has now closed, as the food, drinks and service were excellent, however the baker has recently opened "Abundant Coffee and Treats" in the same premises and maintains the same high standards.

Came after recommendation and wasn’t let down! Food is excellent and service top class have taken friends there and very impressed .Will call again before going back to England and will call again next time over .Which we do regularly .Thank you made are special day lovely.Got in engaged today ! Friendly cafe near the harbour in Newcastle. Good menu and an extensive specials board. Lots of cakes and traybakes to choose from. Tea comes in a pot with a tea cosy.

My first time visiting here. Had a lovely breakfast at a good price. The food was delicious! Glad to see they have redecorated the interiors, although still felt a little canteeny. Really nice little place, I’d visit again!

Stopped in on a cold, rainy day. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly & good service. Enjoyed a classic fish & chips. Would go back again if ever in the area!

Lovely gluten free cheese and ham toastie with a nice fresh salad and coleslaw. The lady who served me was very friendly and helpful.

Family of 5 just had the most beautiful meal. Staff were wonderful so very welcoming. Thank you very much. We will be back!
