The Shore Cafe is a lovely little cafe, situated in Killough. The atmosphere is so warming and the staff, so friendly. The food is tasty though I thoroughly recommend the pancakes - fluffy and delicious! My teen daughter recommends the hot chocolate! Great place to stop and eat and perfectly placed to watch the world go by.

Nieuw café in Killough. Leuk voor een tussenstop en heerlijke koffie/thee of ontbijt/lunch. Genoemd naar de korte film The Shore van Terry George.

This was a great place for our usual coffee stop while cycling round the coast. However we stopped going because they started charging us for a refill of our coffee which was very disappointing. We now go elsewhere. Given the number of cyclists that go through Killough I would assume that this is a great potential income for the cafe. That said, still a reasonable place for refreshments

Called in for coffee and cakes which were delicious an served by friendly ladies with great smiles. Newly refurbished but was a bit cold when I called, just kept my coat on. Lots of locals relaxing and having a coffee. Quite amusing to hear the males use “Mate” as every other word. The Chef spoke to me “Ok mate what are you after” Apart from that it was a good call and I wish them well, hope to be back soon. OK Mate

Called into this bar with my family for the football final. Was told on entrance it’s a “mixed bar/public house” When England came on the tv they actually turned off the sound for the national anthem which is sick. So I sang it at my table and got told off? Also when England scored we got told to “pipe down” yet when Spain scored not a word was mentioned. The wee boy who worked behind the bar was an absolute sour bake. When ordering drinks he gave so much attitude I actually had to report him. The one bar tender was lovely, chatted away all night. But as for the rest of the staff there still living in the 70s Definatley not a mixed bar and 90% of the staff need an attitude check. It’s football get over it Guiness was decent tho Won’t be back

My family and I arrived at this cafe just after 2pm on a Monday. There were no menus apart from one on the wall behind the till, which for a place with two long rooms to sit was rather inconvenient. We were informed that they no longer served breakfast which reduced our options by half. I ordered a club sandwich which came with cold, processed chicken and a ton of mayo. They refused to serve us bacon on toast for our little one although my sandwich contained those ingendients. There was no kids menu. I also ordered a piece of lemon meringue which was truly old. Apart from the friendly staff this was a disappointing experience.
