We took some friends here for breakfast. All were very impressed with the food and the service. My partner doesn't eat egg and they went out of their way to offer an alternative. Would highly recommend!

Pathetic place. Avoid at all costs. Staff are really poor and uneducated in customer service. They made an 80 year old couple wait 15 minutes outside in the cold for a table, and then a group of 3 20 year olds skipped the queue and then staff then said to them there is nothing can do when asked why they couldn’t take that table.

Dark, small and stuffy inside. Menu was average and food was acceptable but nothing special. Very limited dietary, vegan and vegetarian options and no willingness from kitchen staff to adapt items. Expensive. Have been twice but wouldn't go back as both visits disappointed. The takeaway service was a long wait, over 20 minutes .The only positive was the friendly waiting staff. McCarthy's across the road is far superior.

My husband & I had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Q today and it was a real treat. The cafe was spotless and plenty of hand sanitizer available. Service was good and the food was delicious. I had poached eggs avocado bacon on toasted sourdough bread and my hubby had pancakes. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this lovely cafe

We called here for a coffee and a muffin before driving home. The coffee was delicious but the highlight was the blueberry muffin which we split between us. Normally when we split a muffin, it comes on one plate with a knife to cut it. Not here!!! The muffin was served nicely warmed, on 2 separate plates, sprinkled with icing sugar with a small, individual pot of cream and a fork to eat it. Beautiful presentation like this is what encourages customers to return. Next time we're near Crossgar, we'll have no hesitation in returning.

This cafe is a wee gem if you get a chance to eat here. It’s always busy and has lovely friendly staff. The menu is mostly sandwiches/panini etc but there are also some lovely salads and they always have a homemade soup and stew on the go. Great value for money for a family eating out for lunch.

Great for breakfast / snacks and lunch. I've been often while cycling past. The service is always friendly and the food doesn't take long to arrive. Breakfasts aren't greasy in the slightest. The breakfast panini is a must try!

Decided on a lazy day so went out for a late breakfast. Ok it’s small but lovely atmosphere, made to feel very welcome on arrival. Great selection and choice of fare. I found it difficult to pass the fry which was outstanding. Nicely cooked and not swimming in grease. Better half had pancakes with bacon which was equally delicious. Great tasting coffee as well. Noticed that it does have special evenings with a guest chef of which testimonials where very positive. Definitely worth a repeat soon. Oh and prices very competitive.

Crossgar is a lovely little village with and excellent vintner and lots great shops but Café Q is worth going for alone. They do a fantastic fry with lovely big cups of tea and delicious cakes. The service is friendly without being intrusive and it's cosy interior is perfect for cold weather. We will definitely be visiting again!

All through our Northern Ireland holiday we had been looking forward to an 'Ulster Fry', which we had discovered on our last trip to NI. We treated ourselves to one the final morning of our holiday, which was just as well, otherwise we would have been heading to Cafe Q every morning, to the detriment of our arteries! Although they don't call their cooked breakfast an 'Ulster Fry', it came with the required fried soda bread and potato farls. We went for the 'Big Grill', which came with two of everything, apart from tomatoes and was utterly delicious. The sausages were of great quality, the bacon was nicely grilled, the eggs were just runny enough, but the stand out, for me, were the potato farls and fried soda bread. We also had coffee and tea to wash our breakfasts down with. The service was very good and the food came in good time. We didn't eat cake at that time of the morning, but the offerings in the big cake cabinet looked really interesting, mostly being small cakes, muffins and tray bakes, not huge cakes which can dry out once cut into. Everyone else in the place seemed really happy with their food and drink too. We would definitely recommend this for breakfast and I'm sure lunch and coffee and cake would be great there too.

Had a beautiful lunch in Cafe Q. I had a southwest panini which was delicious and my mum had a panini with salami and onion marmalade which I tasted and can say was just as delicious. The pasta and coleslaw was the perfect accompaniment. The male waiter was so pleasant and whilst he was really busy, nothing was too much trouble for him. Definitely a great asset to Cafe Q!!
