Had heard many good things about this place but had never called in, was passing through Saintfield yesterday and though we would give it a try. Unfortunately the bacon was burnt and had clearly been heated up, one very small sausage on top of a chewy soda. Coffee was tasty but served lukewarm which was disappointing. Café had a nice vibe and whilst the server could have been friendlier it was a nice place to sit in. Will maybe try it again one day just in case it was an off day.

Called in for food after a few hours furniture shopping. Absolute starving. The owner said no lunch available. Told them we were hungry but no.- couldn't even do us a sandwich. !!! We have just moved to the area and had been a few times before but will not be back. We headed on up the street to Jacksons where we were made more than welcome and got food no problem. What sort of an food outlet which is making most of no lockdown actually turns customers away !! It was only 2:55 on a Saturday and they advertise being open till 4:30

Well stopped for lunch. Found a parking space just outside. Found a table and menu delivered. Selected soup and a panini came quickly. Soup was certainly hot. Panini was also tasty and as ordered. Small seating area but appear to have plenty of locals dropping in for takeaway.

We called in here for a coffee and we were very pleased with the service, staff and goods. It is a very small cafe with only a few tables but they do takeaway coffee, so you can still indulge. Two "Americano" coffees and scones came to £7.80. For such a small town café we thought £2.25 for an "Americano" was expensive, even though it was good coffee, but with the scones costing £1.65 each the overall bill was reasonable. We would call in here again if in the area.

Called in here today with husband for lunch. Husband ordered the special Chicken and Chrozio casserole that was advertised with crusty bread, however my husband asked for this without bread, ( he doesn't even eat bread) and I ordered the soup and sandwich combi. I asked could I have a toasted sandwich with my soup and the guy who took our order, I asked for the toasted sandwich with mustard and no butter, only to be told there was not mustard. When our food arrived my husband was served his casserole... with crusty bread and I was served my toasted sandwich with garnish, no soup. I assumed my soup would follow shortly however it never arrived. ( In hindsight I should have realised I wasn't going to get the soup as the cutlery I received was a knife and fork and no spoon. Anyway we finished our food and when I went to pay the bill I informed the server who was on the till ( the same guy who took our order) that I didn't receive my soup as he was about to charge me for this. When I informed him I didn't get my soup he told me he forgot about it and apologised. Overall the food was average but service could be better especially given that the server wrote the order but still got it wrong and no mustard in a deli / cafe is kind of a basic condiment to have. Was disappointed in visit and would not be in a hurry back.

I love this place! The food is always delicious. I'm a particular fan of the beef stew, although there's a great range of paninis, wraps and sandwiches. It's not difficult to be tempted by a traybake to accompany their excellent coffee. The staff are very friendly. They're particularly helpful when it comes to my son, who on top of being a rascal, is allergic to dairy. Nothing is too much for them and they always make sure he's sorted with something tasty. It has been too long since I last called at this great cafe and we decided on a cold winter's day to pop in for a coffee.Surprisingly, getting a seat was not an issue - previously it has been a challenge, which is always a good sign - but I guess the outside weather dulled trade. The cafe is bright but also quaint and you are welcomed by lots of tempting options - I would happily have eaten the soup and the beef stew specials for the day,and that before I looked at the cold food options. We only sought a mid morning coffee and a scone, but it was tempting to come back later......The coffee - served in a mug and piping - hit the spot perfectly as I was chill;the cherry scone was clearly homemade and packed with cherries, served with a generous chunk of butter and jam. It was excellent.Saints is clearly a cafe that really tries hard at every level. It is refreshing to see and to support,as far too many so called cafes simply seem to go through the motions. If passing,or in Saintfield, you will not be disappointed. Try it and enjoy it.

I really wanted to love this cafe as the staff were AMAZING! They couldn't do enough for us and if it was based on them alone it'd be five out of five.Unfortunately, despite the comparably low cost for brunch, the food was not of any quality. The sausages were tasteless and they don't have any fresh fruit juices on offer. They are limited to sausage, egg and bacon, no option for full breakfast.

I absolutely love Saints and visit most weeks either for lunch or to grab a coffee and traybake to go! The food is really fresh and cooked to order and their breakfasts are great! The real selling point of this little gem however is the atmosphere and staff! Kevin has really cultivated a great friendly atmosphere in this little cafe, I especially enjoy Saturdays when they have acoustic music on offer! I was there last week for lunch and completely lost track of time, meaning we were there for hours. Kevin and his staff didn't move to rush us out instead they came over frequently with coffee refills :) This is a true little gem in Saintfield and is loved by all my friends who visit from as far away as Portadown! Usually very happy with Saints to the point I would recommend to others. However, today I asked for 2 sandwiches to take away, one being chicken with cheese & salad and a chicken & stuffing sandwich with salad. On both sandwiches we got stale (to the point of being hard) bread, chicken which was also far from fresh and lettuce with 2 bits of red onion (hardly a salad, when I had specified lettuce, tomato, cucumber & red onion). This is far from acceptable for a café/deli to be producing & is a far cry from being value for money.I then rang to advise of my dis-satisfaction & was told "well all I can do is say sorry". I would have thought that I may at least have been offered to have it replaced if I brought it back, sadly not.I usually do not mind paying the price for their sandwiches, however, when they are of this poor quality & the staff clearly didn't care, I am far from happyWould definitely put me off going back, nor will I be recommending it to anyone else in the future.

So many good reviews, I had to check it was the same place I was at. Called here with a friend after 4pm. As I was hungry I asked if they had any sandwiches, No they didn't, only tray bakes which they had cling filmed up on the 2 plates, they retrieved these from somewhere & placed them in front of us. We chose a tray bake each , a coffee & a tea. Coffee was quite sharp tasting!! Tea was okay, well actually I have to say it was okay as it was loads better than the coffee or tray bakes. Tray bakes were quite sticky & not very pleasant tasting.Service was, well except that our food was brought to our table, it was non-existent. There was a definite mark on the inside of my cup plus a few other little marks. They all came off with a tissue except the one on the bottom inside. I scraped it with my spoon & little bits came off so I nicely told the girl that there was a mark on my cup & that I had removed some marks but all of this mark wouldn't budge. She brought me a clean cup & informed me that it was only a small chip in the bottom of the cup. Shouldn't that cup be in the bin, I was always told, cracks & chips harbour bacteria. They don't close until 5pm & I could see severals types of bread wrapped behind the counter! Surely when I asked for a clean cup , the word, sorry would have been nice, we were paying customers, there were only four other customers in. Think they just wanted to clear up & get home. Used to like this place but I won't be back.

I have been to this cafe & deli on 2 occasions during the past year, both times to catch up with work colleagues. Saintfield is the perfect location for us to meet as it's close to Carryduff and enroute home for both colleagues - one from Newtownards, the other Downpatrick. That aside, it is an additional bonus to be able to sit outside and take advantage of the lovely weather!!Whether afternoon coffee, hot chocolate (the latter being a particular favourite of mine), cold drinks with a difference, or herbal tea.... Great selection and there's definitely sufficient choice to satisfy any age group or palate. It seems to be extremely busy at lunch time, so I wouldn't advise a business meeting at half past noon - 1:30ish, especially if there is a need to "talk shop" and you don't wish to be overheard. Yes, the tables are quite close together inside, but they're not so tight to deserve a negative comment, they're quite acceptable for a bite or too with a friend or family member! Both Sit-in / carry-out services are available - equally popular it would seem, and I was interested to find that orders can be placed in advance for home catering purposes too ........ the delay is never long due to good management and well thought out procedures, and I'm quite tempted to claim that I can cook just like the chefs in the Saints Cafe & deli (lol)!!I must give special credit to the staff - they are always pleasant, approachable, and friendly. Nothing is too much bother AND they are game for a laugh, which is great in my opinion!

The atmosphere is always relaxed and welcoming wether you are there for lunch or just a coffee you are made to feel free to stay for as long as you like. Which after a lunch and delicious tray bake it's very tempting. The staff are very efficient and friendly and all in all a superb cafe!! I hope 2014 is very successful for them.

Had a lovely weekday lunch. Always friendly and inviting staff. I had the seafood chowder, so delicious on a cold day and my partner had a panini. Two clean plates!

I am a regular to Saint's with my mum for a relaxed catch up after a busy week. This is the ideal place for a cuppa or lunch - fantastic food, fantastic surroundings and great friendly service - a real chill out spot - only problem is I get so chilled out I don't want to move!!! I am also a regular to the Deli which has a fantastic range of yummy treats.

I live locally in Saintfield so I am lucky to be able to drop in to Saints regularly, though never often enough! The food is delicious, always freshly prepared and with an obvious passion for taste and served with a smile and a bit of banter, Saints is a real gem and if you fall in love with any of the food you can take some home by visiting the deli 2 doors down. Highly recommended.

Saintfield is a busy little place and traffic is usually heavy, therefore the passing motorist could easily miss Saints Cafe & Deli. Located near the main junction in the town it is sometimes possible to get a parking space near to the deli. This place is quite small but there is a lot packed in to a small space! Various menus adorn the walls and the new customer will be somewhat spoiled for choice. Staff are very helpful and attentive. The menu choice is very wide and the food well presented.Everything on the plate was fresh and tasted very good.Well done to all concerned!

I've visited Saints on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The soup, stew, paninis and salads are all fab. I particularly love a panini with brie, ham and homemade onion chutney. Everything always tastes nice and fresh. The coffee and traybakes are also great. I often go to the deli a few doors down after for olives, tapenade, cheese and cold meats.. They have a great range of artisan food. The ice cream and smoothies are also great.

Have visited Saints on many occasions and have enjoyed coffee, breakfast and lunch there. Staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. The owner Kevin is a gem. This place would be rated very highly if it were in Belfast, for example! Not enough people know about how good it is. Love the prawn open on wheaten bread and delicious goats cheese! Well worth a visit!!

A fantastic cafe, giving great food, lovely service with a smile, great coffee, and they sell lovely gifts and hampers. A cafe with a real soul. Try the soup - I don't even ask what it is, because it's always delicious. Don't get me started on the buns/cakes, especially the Fifteens! :)
