La habitación se suponía que era una habitación de lujo con vistas al río, y aunque teníamos una buena vista del río, la habitación en sí era muy básico. Estaba muy mal, con una decoración pobre y gastada. Solo había 2 perchas en el armario, ningún otro lugar para colgar abrigos o colocar ropa, como una silla o ganchos de abrigo. La ventana tenía una sola cortina, que estaba a punto de colgar de una barra de cortina mal equipada. El baño, aunque bastante moderno, no tenía toalleros ni ningún lugar para colocar artículos de tocador. También le faltaba un soporte para rollos de papel higiénico. Estábamos incómodos con la ventana en el baño, que, aunque opaca, la gente de fuera todavía vería a cualquiera que use el inodoro o ducha ya que no había cortinas. La puerta del baño no se cerraba correctamente, y las bisagras estaban muy crujientes. La cama estaba bien, pero no era particularmente cómodo, y el edredón estaba equipado con una cubierta demasiado pequeña. Los pasillos que conducen a la habitación fueron pintados con una pintura gris opaca, descascarada, y rayados en muchos lugares. Evitar a toda costa.

We cannot recommend this cafe highly enough! Very well set out in view of covid rules and regulations- very clean - super friendly staff and a jolly good selection of snacks/meals. Coffee really good. Toilets are on the same floor with excellent facilities.

We were looking for somewhere to have a few drinks in York on a Wednesday, Jeff & ENO convinced us to come in their bar and made us feel so welcome - can’t wait to come back to this bar

Possibly the worst bakery in the north of England. Makes the pound bakery look like the Ivy. I ordered two steak bakes and when my children bit into them they were stone cold. I went back into the shop to explain and all I got back was it's cold service? In my many years on this planet I have never been to a bakery where the food is not at least warm. Other bakery will tell you if the food is cold. This food had been sitting there for a while, it tasted disgusting. Luckily there was a Greggs around the corner which saved the day. Poor food, poor staff. AVOID.

No mobile phones allowed great idea

Doesn’t matter what you think of the policies of the owning brewery as this is an unusual, old, special pub. Yes it can get stupidly ‘rammed’ in good weather but at other times it’s a treat to visit.

The Roman Bath Pub is a great city centre pub that always a joy to drop into. This is a really interesting looking pub,interior is superb,an island style serving bar,great decor and furnishings,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options,the most distinctive feature of the pub is the great artwork around the walls depicting scenes of Roman life alluding to the Roman museum in the basement ,it's a proper chill out pub. We were here on a Monday evening,pub was busy,we ordered John Smiths Brewery bitter ,served in pristine condition,we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. I enjoy a good bitter,a much underrated beer style but when served iced gold as in this pub it's a totally refreshing brew. We both really enjoyed our visit here ,only stayed for one each before we moved on. The Roman Bath Pub is easy to locate on St Sampsons Square. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,open from 11am. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Vino hoy a tomar un café mientras exploraba York. Café era muy tranquilo y parecía un poco poco poco no amado. Pedí cafés, luego descubrí que el inodoro estaba bloqueado y que el inodoro para discapacitados estaba siendo ocupado por alguien que no sonaba muy bien. Reporté a ambos al personal, que asintió y sonrió. Aprecio que ellos mismos probablemente no pudieron hacer mucho (pero tal vez deberían haber tenido hace más preocupación por el cliente en el baño para discapacitados). Uno de nuestros miembros necesitaba usar el baño, así que tuvimos que pedir que nuestras bebidas se dispensaran en tazas para llevar y sacar para que pudiéramos irnos. El personal lo agradeció, pero el servicio al cliente no estaba en los niveles habituales de Starbucks. Se sentía un poco áspero e insalubre, ojalá nos hubiéramos ido a otro lugar.
