We went with friends, after having driven past the pub for years, assuming it was a back street local, we were recommended to try it, staff food and atmosphere, all far exceeded our expectations We will be back, thank you.

Delicious brunch with amazing coffee in a charming little cafe. A large variety of freshly baked goods that were too good to refuse. We went back a second day because it was so good!

Popped into Jackalope for a quick brunch. Told to sit anywhere, which was fine. Waited a while to see if anyone would come and take our order - it didn't seem particularly busy. No one did, however, so I asked at the counter and was told someone would be over in a moment. Went to the loo - it was absolutely wretched. Dirty toilet, scalding water and an overwhelming stench of sewage and unemptied sanitary/nappy bin. Got back to the table shortly after - still no one had taken our order. Didn't have time to stay for a drink, so we left. No one noticed.

What a wonderful little gem of a place! Have visited twice now in two weeks for tea and cake and a stroll around the garden. Cakes are amazing, staff are lovely and bring food out to your table. The walled garden is full of lovely plants, some unusual and the insect life and especially the dragonflies just a wonder to watch. Thank you đ

Smallish unpretentious cafe that is great to pop in for a coffee. Only had a drink but food looked good too. Coffee quality above average. Tiny loo but no problems. Staff friendly and efficient.

This was the first time I've been here, having heard it was under new management we thought we'd give it a try. The food was excellent, and so was the service (even though the two staff that were on were obviously rushed off their feet). We will definitely eat here again. Only criticism would be that it could do with a bit of ambient background music, there was some, but it just seemed to be behind the bar.

Soul night is on once a month,a new thing and its free! I booked a table for 2 with my partner on 13th Jan to eat dinner there 1st. The venue is really nice and refreshing to see. A real community hub for families, friends, solo, cyclists, whatever. They cater for a wide range. A very brave and welcome idea for the old building in this built up area, so glad it's not more flats etc. I ate cauil mac cheese with pulled pork added, it was lovely and filling. The soul music was live and the singer Yemi bolatiwa was superb offering 1st class vocals accompanied by a couple of musicians. It was a nice relaxing vibe and I would certainly recommend this place any time of day or evening. Staff are polite, quick and well mannered. Long may this place stay.

Farm shops seem to be popping up all over the place nowadays and invariably offer local produce from fresh meat to pickles, frozen food to wines and pastries and tagged on, the ubiquitous cafĂ© or restaurant, a must for any country enterprise. I love them and whilst the quality is usually unsurpassed, the shopping element usually comes at a high premium price. How nice then to find a fairly new enterprise that offers an extremely wide range of local produce and goods at reasonable prices. A very impressive and extensive display. The restaurant is no different. It has lots of tables available inside and out and a lot of parking. It has the appearance of a canteen but it is pleasant enough and provides a comfortable place to eat. The menu is what I would describe as standard British cafĂ© fare offering various burgers, fish and chips, salads, sandwiches, a variety of foods with chips and afternoon teas. I guess you get the picture. Nothing wrong with this and it is not pretending to be anything else and the prices reflect that. The service is good, fast and, whilst a little rustic, it is presented well enough. A lovely find which understandably is getting more popular. It doesnât look like a place that will stand still.
