We were visiting Ashburton on a Monday and were surprised to find just about every pub and cafe closed. Luckily The Greedy Bird was open and the food, coffee and service was excellent. It was also reasonably priced and we were lucky to find it.

This Cafe is an absolute gem. Clean & tidy with a really good selection of foods on the menu. I had the large breakfast which I only just managed to finish and my pal had jacket spud with cheese and beans which was so lovely and fluffy with generous toppings and a really nice fresh salad on the side. Great portions with great service. Thank you 🙏

What a wonderful little gem of a place! Have visited twice now in two weeks for tea and cake and a stroll around the garden. Cakes are amazing, staff are lovely and bring food out to your table. The walled garden is full of lovely plants, some unusual and the insect life and especially the dragonflies just a wonder to watch. Thank you 😊

We popped out into town for a couple of drinks after work, and usually love The White Horse. We paid for our drinks at the bar and since there were no free seats in the bar area we went to sit to the rear of the pub. Two members of staff watched us walk past without acknowledgement. After about 5 minutes the waitress came over and said if we weren't eating we would need to move out of our seats. There were only about 3 tables of people eating and felt it was a bit abrupt. We finished our drinks and won't return.
