We went with friends, after having driven past the pub for years, assuming it was a back street local, we were recommended to try it, staff food and atmosphere, all far exceeded our expectations We will be back, thank you.

Great food and friendly service. Everything was cooked from scratch and to a very high standard. We had such an enjoybale meal that we returned a few days later and even though we had not booked, they slotted us in for an early meal. Could not ahbe asked for more. Would higly recommend.

Great for a family meal-kids meals were real food and not cheap bread/ chicken nuggets type dinners. Party of 10 with all smiles, Toilets were the best I have seen in a pub for a while. The only thing was when we first got there the slide was broken and we had sold kids on a play area, but apart from that. Food, drink restaurant and toilets all great 👍

Been here on several occasions now. We are locals so lovely to have somewhere on our doorstep that does properly cooked food. Think bone marrow gravy on the roast, not packet stuff and you get the idea. We've tried several of the dishes, and the specials board changes often. Never let us down yet.

Visited The Ship after several recommendations. The restaurant is separate from the bar which was nice. Not a huge menu but did also have specials to choose from. We all had garlic bread with cheese as a starter! Amazing!! Never tasted garlic bread like it!! Myself and my mother in law had boeuf bourguignon which was delicious, it came with mash but I requested chips which was no trouble at all, my husband and father in law had the steak burger and they said it was equally very tasty. Portions aren’t huge but quality was excellent! Prices are not extortionate and we were happy with what we paid for the quality of the meal. Sweets were delicious too, especially the s’mores waffle! Note to chef: I felt there could have been some veg of some sort, perhaps some savoy cabbage or peas served with the boeuf bourguignon and a little salad with the burgers but that’s just personal preference. Would definitely revisit!

Popped into Jackalope for a quick brunch. Told to sit anywhere, which was fine. Waited a while to see if anyone would come and take our order - it didn't seem particularly busy. No one did, however, so I asked at the counter and was told someone would be over in a moment. Went to the loo - it was absolutely wretched. Dirty toilet, scalding water and an overwhelming stench of sewage and unemptied sanitary/nappy bin. Got back to the table shortly after - still no one had taken our order. Didn't have time to stay for a drink, so we left. No one noticed.

This Cafe is an absolute gem. Clean & tidy with a really good selection of foods on the menu. I had the large breakfast which I only just managed to finish and my pal had jacket spud with cheese and beans which was so lovely and fluffy with generous toppings and a really nice fresh salad on the side. Great portions with great service. Thank you 🙏
