Nice place for afternoon and evening pint

Just dropped in for a drink. Good atmosphere and friendly staff and locals.

Popped in while looking for somewhere to eat. They have just been taken over and not doing food just yet. We stayed for a quick drink. Service was lovely, drinks reasonably priced, and the lovely bar staff suggested some other nearby places to eat. Will definitely visit again.

The food was excellent, the staff were very polite and helpful. I thought the restaurant was a bit dowdy but it was clean, you have to accept it is a room in a pub not a purpose built restaurant.(It was totally separate to the rest of the pub so you didn't have to share with noisy drinkers.)

Had an excellent evening in the Thai restaurant for my Son's girlfriends birthday. The food was very good and of excellent quality. For starters I had, in English, king prawn soup which tasted delicious but the first thing that hit me was salt. For the main I had the Pork curry with Thai fried rice which was excellent and not too salty, the fried rice was the best I've ever had. Overall a really good night with good friends. Recommended.

We have been working in Coventry and the pub was on our way home, have stopped several times over past few weeks. Great beer and very friendly staff will definitely be back even though it’s half an hour from home.

The most authentic Thai food in the greater Midlands area to my mind. We've eaten in some of the so called " Family " and " Authentic" Thai restaurants in Birmingham over the last year or so, but not a patch on this place We ate there on Saturday and whilst not the most glamorous setting, the food said it all. The staff were very pleasant & attentive when required. The real ale on tap is a huge bonus also Well worth a visit

Our first visit here really enjoyed the beer, had a spot of lunch also and wow!!!!! They actually serve fresh proper chips , how lovely is that. Will definitely return the barmaid was lovely and friendly. If you like a nice pint it's worth seeking out.

Been here a couple of times now and it's small but perfectly formed! Very pleasant landlord and mixing with regulars is a breeze, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A good night out.

A homely country pub offering good value meals and cask beers. Sunday lunch is excellent "home" cooking.

Three of our party had the pensioners special - roast dinners/fish & chips. Tasty and good value. Lasagne off normal menu was ungenerous, luke warm and badly presented. Far too expensive for what was delivered. Still recommend this place for the pensioners deal, but not for the lasagne.

Staff very pleasant and helpful and the food is just the best. I have just been back recently and the food is just as good, however they are now serving cheap prawn crackers that are like polystyrene instead of Thai crackers which is a shame, I know it's a small issue but why skimp on something that everyone loves.

Not in any way posh - but great food and fantastic value. Service was friendly and efficient. Two of our party had the £4.95 pensioners special. They both had roast beef dinners, which were served with a Yorkshire pudding and plentiful vegetables/gravy. The special included sponge pudding and custard desserts. Highly recommend.

Thanks to Stuart and his team at the Manor House for providing an outside bar for our wedding before dashing back to the pub the next to enjoy Sunday lunch for 30, followed by 'Lazy Sunday Afternoon' entertainment out on the lawn the next day. Lunch was sublime! Everything that we savoured was very fresh and all home made, delicious! Nothing was too much trouble and the service as well as the food was fabulous. Than you all for making our weekend a brilliant experience.

Amazing Thai food. Great service. Worth a visit.

Dropped in for lunch having passed by a number of times. It is a typical old village pub. There is quite an extensive menu and Breakfast is served until 2.30pm. Also a "Senior Citizens " menu is available. My wife had the Chicken and Bacon Salad and I had the Steak and Chicken salad. Both meals were well presented and contained plenty of meat. There was a selection of Beers available. It was a nice change not to be surrounded by TV sets. As previously mentioned it is a good old fashioned pub that does not pretend to be something it isn't, unlike many others. The young lady that served was very pleasant and attentive. We will certainly go again.

Popped in for a Drink and Sunday Lunch Young lady behind the bar very friendly Ordered Beef and Turkey lunch all served very hot with Yorkshire stuffing roast parsnips carrots peas cauliflower broccoli and leeks with bacon and extra gravy. Meals good value £8.95 would recommend if passing.

Fine if a little underwhelming.

We were the only people in the restaurant on the evening we attended which speaks volumes. The menu is quite extensive but expensive considering the surroundings it is set in. We ordered starter and main course and when the food arrived we were very disappointed. Portions were mixed, some we received were not value for money whereas my particular portion was fair. Food was quite bland. When the bill arrived it was just short of £100 for the four of us so very expensive. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic service nothing too much trouble

Just passing through and not planning a full lunch out we stopped to keep us going, a beef bap not only filled the gap but was also delicious.

Expensive restaurant and the food too

Vinimos aquí para mi padre en el cumpleaños de la ley para una comida de domingo. En un principio habíamos reservado de un restaurante cercano que los domingos cerrado demasiado temprano, así que busqué un otro restaurante en la zona que queríamos y encontramos este lugar. No había realmente ninguna calificación en tripadvisor, así que estaba un poco preocupado, pero era muy agradablemente sorprendido. Es un pub tradicional con sidra encantador y biter de barril. El personal es muy amable (incluso ofreció una pinta a mi suegro, ya que era su cumpleaños) y la comida era abundante y agradable. Todo a un precio muy razonable. Estoy totalmente de lo recomendaría si buscas un cómodo y agradable asadas con amigos o familia.

Thai food, cooked and served by Thai people. Food is FANTASTIC, and reasonably priced. The pub area is also very good. A few ales to choose from and a wide range of spirits and wines.

Good selection of beers. Food was excellent, served hot, good size portions, lots of choice and a good price. Downside, as a large party it took 2 hours from the first meal to be served to the final meal to come out.

On my first visit here I was greeted as a friend. Many subsequent visits have been due to the friendly landlord and staff, wonderful food and a well kept cellar including guest cask ales as well as the regular range of lager and cider

Se trata de un antiguo pub antaño con los valores tradicionales. El duro trabajo personal, productos frescos todos fantásticamente preparado, presentada y servida. Me encanta el ambiente local y sí, el idioma de los clientes es "frutas", pero si quieres ir a un pub poncy con comida que se sirve en la terraza Pizarras y precios ridículos por favor ir a algún otro sitio y ahorrar el espacio para nosotros! Un lugar para gente de verdad.

Mi compañero, mi hijo de 5 meses de edad y su hermana fuimos para tomar una bebida por la tarde. Se recibió una serie de abusos por un representante , nombre incluye llamadas por el hecho de que mi hija me decidí a gritar y aparentemente estaba arruinando su tarde. Como consecuencia de ello, decidieron salir después me llama como fueron tan molestos. Me decidí a llamar al encargado, que convino en que no fue tratado correctamente y no estaba allí para tratar la situación, pero nos dirigimos a decirme que él también habría pedido a dejar que el ruido probablemente molesto otros clientes. No se puede permitir que nadie habla con 2 chicas jóvenes con un bebé la manera en la que el señor no! En resumen ... Si no eres un local ... Usted no son bienvenidos a menos que jugar al ser sus reglas. Evitar! 0 estrellas son más apropiados.

Gran pub, el personal amable y el restaurante tailandés a sirve comida fabulosa y altamente recomendada. El almuerzo de domingo también está disponible.

The drinks here are good. The food is good. The owners are friendly. The village is pretty. This is a good place to visit.

We as a family have followed the Restaurant Owners for many years, to numerous establishments The food is consistently good, and can be tailored to your own taste. A very friendly, family run restaurant. No complaints from me !

Had tried another local pub for lunch but they were closed and so was driving past when we thought we would try the Manor House. What a great find. The food was freshly made and at very reasonable prices. Love their home made chips. I had fish and chips and my partner had a Cheese and mushroom bake. The cheese sauce was fantastic.Went back a few days later on the Friday evening. Again another great meal. Good portions, all home made and at very good prices.Unfortunately was told that evenings would from the following week be Thai, but the normal menu was available in the day. This was due to the lack of custom. I can only put this down to people not knowing about the great quality food served at this pub.Therefore I decided to write this review and hopefully get the word out.

We hadn't been for a few years so it was great to visit this weekend. We both enjoyed good, well priced food and well looked after beer. The landlord was friendly and made every effort to make sure we were happy. Definitely recommended and we will be back.

Great food and very reasonable priced. Staff are very friendly and the surroundings are really homely. I thought the Mulled Wine was a brilliant touch, with the log fire burning, a full stomach and a Mulled Wine on a cold winters day what more could one ask for. A must visit

Changed hands in June 2012 - Now run by Stuart and Julie, refurbished, friendly, good service, sunday lunches excellent. Pleased to see it busy again!!!!! Thoroughly recommended. Ignore previous bad reviews.
