The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Salisbury St Edmund and Milford Wiltshire South West

I was very excited to find somewhere doing Poke bowls and bagels in Salisbury but sadly I won't be going back. The bagel was blue cheese, prosciutto, sundried tomatoes and rocket. It was basically all sundried tomatoes. Once I had emptied 2/3 of the tomatoes out so that I could taste something else I discovered the smidgest smidge of blue cheese spread in the thinnest of thin smears on one side of the bagel. Getting my magnifying glass out I came across a wee little bit of prosciutto. 6quid for a sundried tomato bagel! The poke bowl at least had a reasonable amount of ingredients in, just a shame it was drenched in soy sauce and that was what all ingredients tasted of. Also they don't take cash which is enough to not get me to go back anyway! With such out pf proportion ingredients in no surprise they were boasting loudly to each other how much profit they were making.

I organised a Christmas event with a buffet at the Anchor and Hope. All of my colleagues loved the venue. Many hadn’t been before and said they will definitely come back! The buffet was superb! There was a huge variety of food and plenty to feed us all and more! Thanks so much to Reece and his team for making us feel so welcomed. Everyone keeps asking when we are going back! Highly recommended.

The coffee is one of the smoothest had in Salisbury so far, a great atmosphere and the team are really attentive. Great to be able to have another venue where we can take the dogs, grab a coffee and browse the fantastic selection of cakes. It’s a hidden gem!

The bar staff are very friendly, but not the landlord or landlady. They seem to treat customers who are not their personal friends with contempt. I walked in for a drink. There was no one behind the bar. The landlord was at a table chatting with someone. He didn't get up to serve me. After waiting a minute or two, I walked out. On the way out, he muttered: "Someone will be out in a minute." We'll, if they can't be bothered to go behind the bar to take my money, they're not getting any.

We’ve popped in a couple of times now. First time was just a random run in out of the rain when we saw dogs were allowed, and were pleasantly surprised. The venue is bigger than it appears, with much more seating upstairs. We came last month with my 2 year old grandson as well as the dog, because we knew what to expect. It’s great to find tapas dishes, as it’s brilliant to share little bits between us especially with the toddler. Also great you can have a half bottle carafe of wine; which is rare in England these days. If you like an informal, relaxed brunch or lunch with attentive friendly staff, and able to take your 4 legged buddy, then this is definitely one of the great places to go in Salisbury.

Excellent Thai food. Good real ale and cider. Friendly, helpful service. Don't miss the duck starter and thick fish special.
