This cafe bistro serves delicious food at reasonable prices. The menu is quite extensive and there should be something to suit most folk. The waiting staff on the Saturday we visited, were young but attentive and efficient. One of the best dog friendly eateries that we have found. We will visit when in Salisbury again and would highly recommend.

Only the sausages were hot!!! Waitress constantly playing with hair over food and not tied back very unhygienic

I'd recommend this lovely Cafe to anyone their coffee is served in a large cup and was delicious! I had a chicken wrap and it was out of this world much larger than I expected it to be. Go and check it out for yourself it's amazing!

Lovely meal freshly cooked, excellent value for money

The staff were very friendly and welcoming for my first time there. Had a beautiful seat next to the river. Food came quickly and was hot and fresh. The coffee was perfect and breakfast was great. Great value for money. Definitely would recommend.

It's a nice place to eat if you want a late breakfast or early lunch, a little on the pricey side for the standard of food. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

We tried the Jaket potatoes and they were great. If you are not very hungry, it's a good option to share. If you could, stay at the terrace. Service very kind and correct prices.

Left the restaurant an hour ago after six of us went in, including one child. There was nothing on the menu for vegetarian children, so we asked if they could accommodate her. We were told no. So I asked again, again told no. How odd they could not accommodate a vegetarian child, when they have vegetarian sausages on the menu, and all they had to do was not cook chicken nuggets but cook vegetarian sausages instead. I then spoke to the man who said it was his restaurant and he couldn't even answer me, just stood gormless! So we left and went to green King where they were fully able to accommodate a vegetarian child. Insane and rude service, would not recommend. Expensive too. Green king was much better priced.

The service was fantastic. Despite one of the group being a little skeptical about it, we all agreed that the food was delicious and the presentation rather lovely. Would definitely come here again if we were in the area more often!

Have tried several types of Breakfast and we have had a great experience each time. Well doe to all the crew. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Jenny's Bistro, located by the waterfront, has a charming outdoor seating area with a great view. We tried the avocado mash and salmon with chips, and both were delicious. The portions are generous, and the service was friendly and quick. Overall, it's good value for money.

Used to love coming here, always though the food was cooked fresh, UNTIL I started seeing a staff remember wearing the bistro uniform walking back from Tesco with a trolley FULL of ready meals every Monday morning at around 8:45am. Turns out they just overcharge for tesco ready meals, they don't actually cook from scratch. Huge disappointment, won't be eating here again if I can get the same meal at tesco for a lot less!

Before going to the horse racing , we popped in for a breakfast which was really nice. So we thought we'd go back again the next day as the location of this restaurant was situated near the river. After ordering our food & and drinks, the order was incorrect. My partner ordered eggs Benedict but received eggs royale which contains salmon. So I took it back to the cook who brought it out. He said he would cook the correct order. He then brought out the correct order (eggs Benedict) my partner started eating the food and found bits of salmon on the crumpets. So basically he just scrapped off the salmon and put spinach in its place. Also on top of this my partner is allergic to fish hence the reason for not ordering eggs royale. I told the waiter to relay the info back to him that wasn't happy or paying for that meal. When going into the restaurant from outside where we were sitting, all the staff were looking at me and looking away , because of the wrong doing. I paid for my breakfast but not my partners. Poor and unprofessional from the male cook who tried to fool us also the staff don't ask about allergies.

Went for breakfast ordered eggs florentine, waiter brought out wrong order gave me eggs royal(raw salmon) took it back and brought out eggs florentine but he had scrapped off the salmon and used the same eggs leaving bits of salmon on the egg this is disgusting treatment he tried to hide what he had done, i was violently sick as im alergic to fish, he had no care at all never will i go there again

I would recommend this place to visit for lunch if you are visiting Salisbury for the day. A lot of choice to choose from the menu and the pie, chips and gravy was so nice. Thanks!

Great location with lovely views over the river, nice coffee but it was the staff that made it so special, the young man who took our order was so charming and friendly. sadly i didn't get his name to praise him directly, but he made my day

Thought we,d try this place but never again. My friend ordered shepherds pie, and out came a giant plate full of slop. This cost almost £14.00 . My sandwich stated with salad, this "salad" had a couple of lettuce leaves and half a small tomato that I was charged £9 for. I asked my friend how was the shepherds pie? even though I could tell from his face he was fuming, and he said" I imagine its what you get in prison". Poor quality. Coffee also weak.

Always go her on a Tuesday to treat my mum. Love the poached eggs on toast. The service is very good staff very professional and polite good prices too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice atmosphere and great food and service at good prices.

Had not been in the new restaurant. Table seating is great and spaced out and not sat on top of everyone, so great to catch up with friend and not have everyone listening to your conversation. We both ordered the ham, egg and chips. I do have this a lot and it was the worst ham, egg and chips I’ve ever had. The ham was so thin and plastic, like sandwich ham but the worst you could have. I would definitely not recommend this choice of meal. To be fair, I do always come back and write my review but I am late submitting them so they may have had lots of complaints about the ham and changed it now (hopefully). I would go again as I liked the seating but I would try something else.

A very disappointing visit. We had drinks which were OK. A lot of staff's attention at first however no one came later to check on us and we said we will probably eat. After long wait I went to the service counter to ask if I can order there and was told that they will take the order from the table. Again after a long wait at the table we saw a few members of staff around us - one even started walking in our direction but then suddenly turned away. We were sitting there for a bit as my partner could not believe we were ignored. We paid for our drinks and left feeling very disappointed. Not much reaction for my complaint at the till.

If you just want a cup of tea, this is not the place for you. Our first shock was the size and ugliness of the tea cup which was heavy fluted glass the size of a soup bowl. It required 2 hands to lift it. Secondly the tea pot had a strainer inner, which is fine if you use proper tea leaves. Ours had a tea bag in it & the hot water barely covered the top of the tea bag. The end result was the weakest tasteless tea we have ever drunk. And to top off a terrible tea drinking experience, it cost £4 per cup!! We won't be returning & suggest that tea drinkers find other cafes further in town where they know what customers expect from a pot of tea.

Please make sure you are boycotting this awful cafe. The co-owner has been sending homophobic messages to the account. I'm sure many of the customers are not aware that this is the person you're supporting and who you have living amongst you in your community

I think Salisbury should know the kind of person who lives in their community and who they work with! Friendly reminder that rainbow colours doesn’t always mean LGBT and that the world has worst problems then BOYS KISSING BOYS AND GIRLS KISSING GIRLS! It must be a really sad life to be offended by colours.

I have just walked past this place and I have seen only what I can assume is the owner/manager lighting up a cigarette inside while his colleague was closing the doors, I probably wouldn’t mind so much if they wouldn’t serve food, I can only imagine in what circumstances their food is kept or treated like if they can just light up a cigarette inside. Also I’m sure that smoking is illegal in enclosed spaces. EDIT: In response to the owners message, the person that was smoking wasn’t outside as his colleague was closing the doors for the outside area, the person smoking has lit a cigarette IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CAFE IN BETWEEN THE TABLES. I do not appreciate you trying to call me blind :)!

Very tasty food. You get value for your money. Beautiful location on the river. Price is low and good quality! Highly recommended!

My first visit to this new premises & won't be my last. The cafe is spacious, bright and airy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was freshly prepared, well presented & reasonably priced. The main meals for our group were large. I had chosen a wrap, because I was planning on having some cake for pudding. But the wrap filling was generous and I sadly had no room for a pudding. But it's a great reason to return soon for a cake and coffee.

We had decided to return to Jenny's Bistro Café after a previous nice experience. Imagine our disappointment when it appeared to be closed! However, when we started looking for somewhere else, we discovered it had moved to the old Lakeland Store a few doors up. Not only that, it was now four or five times bigger! We were bowled over by the choice on the new menu. Nothing fancy - just good honest food. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient and took our orders with a smile. We all ordered various styles of breakfast. One of our party had the London Grill. It was enormous! We were too full to try the delicious-looking cakes and cheesecakes so had milkshakes which were thick and ice-cold. The prices were reasonable and the quality was high. We shall certainly be returning. It's now our favourite place for a lunch in Salisbury.

We tried this cafe a while ago and it made us ill for a couple of days but this was before it moved and now looked very much improved in the new premises, but how wrong we were. The service was one of the worst I have seen with everything being so slow, even to the point where I had to go and get my own condiments. When the food arrived (an Omelette. Poached eggs on toast with Halloumi and a bacon and egg toasted sandwich) we were astounded that they couldn't even cook a proper poached egg along with the eggs being raw, the Halloumi was the worst I have ever tasted lacking in flavour and cooked within an inch of its life (only on one side). The second meal turned up clearly had been sat around for a while as it was cold along with both the bacon and egg being iver cooked , the third and final meal we ordered was again cold lacking in flavour. However, when we got the bill, we were astounded at how much it cost, I could have gone to Harvester for a cheaper meal. I would avoid this place like the plague.

Friendly staff. I ordered an omelette. It was huge and very tasty. I didn’t realise it would come with chips and salad. It’s also very accessible and I’m in a wheelchair. Place was clean. The cakes section looked very yummy. One for another day.

I love seeing local businesses not only survive but thrive and to see jennys bistro expand to a bigger premises and stay busy fills my heart with joy, my fiancée and I went in for breakfast recently and it was very good although quite expensive.

Not been here before, thought we would give it a go, it wasn’t good, our orders were wrong and rather than apologise and sort it, the servers were aggressive and rude, they said it was our mistake, they brought our missing items out 5 mins later, the food was ok but expensive for the quality. Cosy club and Boston are the same price but much better quality and service. Won’t be back.

When here today, ordered the home made farmhouse burger which came out and definitely wasn't home made, tasted just like a burger van burger, cheap and frozen. Quite disappointed considering it said home made gourmet burger! I mentioned it and was told it was home made haha definitely not. Basically all frozen food. We eat it as we were hungry and out all day it was ok but just misleading and felt we were conned, charging high prices for burger van food! Won't be back here again. Not to mention £3.20 for a can of Rio, bit of a joke!

Please when you cook sausages please do not deep fry,makes skins hard. You say Cumberland sausage,did not resemble or taste like Cumberland.

My dad went today. Started to eat his breakfast, went to the toilet, when he came back they had cleared it all up. Needless to say he just left. Terrible service.

Very tasty and fresh food, friendly service, dish served quickly. The only minus is the completely wrong music, which does not fit the place where the average age is 60+. Unfortunately, I subtract one star and one more for the prices, which should be 20% lower. In general, I sincerely recommend it!

Extremely busy when we went on a Saturday lunchtime. Our first time and everyone's food looked good. It was quick turnover but our table was cleaned and order taken quickly. Food arrived promptly and piping hot . Staff attentive and polite. Based on this experience very happy to return when we visit Salisbury.

Wonderful bistro/cafe. We've been a few times and each time service was great and the food was amazing. Need to leave room for the wonderful looking deserts. Next time maybe.

Went for lunch. Partner had Cheese and ham panini. I ordered BLT. Wow what Was served was unbelievable It was a bacon sandwich With a bit of salad on side Of plate. They took it away Toasted bread an still tried to claim it was a BLT. Won't be going back.

We went here early on Sunday for breakfast with the dogs, daughter and the mum in law. We all had a wonderful experience. Top draw food, friendly service and the place is beautiful. We will be back for more! Thank you everyone at Jenny's, and well done.

The Jennys breakfast was delicious, quality ingredients make a big difference. The tea and the flat white were decent. The real Orange juice was so good I’m craving it now. Bonus we can take the dogs in too. My new favourite breakfast joint

Rude staff. £10 min on card and overpriced

First rate in every respect: friendly and efficient staff, food appeared promptly and piping hot and was delicious. Reasonably priced for the quality and the warm and pleasant atmosphere. Will certainly come again - our new go-to lunchtime eatery in Salisbury. Ignore the small number of poor reviews; there are a lot of very unreasonable people out there! (NB we have no connection with this business other than as customers)

First time at New Jenny’s today with a friend - I was so pleased we made the right choice to visit. We both enjoyed our main meal followed by homemade desserts- absolutely delicious 😋 Staff friendly and attentive. Superb! Thank you, shall visit again..
