Great little café! Me, my partner and friend visited with drinks and food and it was very nice. Did go when it was lunch time meaning it was pretty busy but it wasn't long to wait for a table. Very sweet place, also sell coffee beans so my partner was happy! ☕

I had the BLT, however after eating it I suggest to anyone thinking of having anything toasted …DONT. The filling is lovely, the bread is lovely, but when you toast a bread that already has a hard crust you end up having a sandwich with a concrete crust. I would suggest if the orangery is going to toast hard crusted bread that they CUT THE CRUST off first or use different bread

The orangery has a lovely vibe about the place. The inside feels vintage in the best way and the food is delicious serving nice toasties and lunch bites, even if they are slightly on the pricey side! The outdoor seating does get really sunny so on a hot day be aware that you may find yourself getting a bit toasty, especially since the umbrellas were broken 😢. Fantastic location though right next to the river.

Staff needs to communicate clearly. My meal had half the ingredients missing, because they "ran out." No one bothered to tell me. Of course I would have ordered something else. The chef didn't tell the server, the server didn't notice (or care) that my dish wasn't right, and I ate some of it before I realized that it was not very good. Not very professional behaviour on their parts. Hopefully they were just having an off day. My partner's meal was good.

This place has the potential to be amazing yet the few flaws it does have are so massive that it make this place one of the worst places ever. 1st the sausage meat was not cooked fully and was not even warm, this is clearly a Health & Hygeine in Food Safety Issue and Trading Standards Food Inspector should be made aware before someone goes down with servere food poisoning. 2nd the staff are about the rudest staff ever that i have come accross, they seem to have a superiority complex and have a 100% careless attitude towards customers and customer service. I do not recommend this place due to the business ethos of the Owners clearly allowing their staff to do as they please when they please and how they please, i tried to contact the owners but the ownes have made it impossible for them to be contacted online, maybe because they would just get endless complaints. I shall just use the Boston tea Party instead from now forth.

What a wonderful day and a glorious location. My friend has never been here before, so we stopped for a coffee. It was very busy but we got a table inside, which was really good, as it can be hot. Ordered a cheese and onion toastie for me, which was very filling. My partner in crime had a greek salad, which was thoroughly enjoyed. We both ordered a latte. The only reason I didn't give a score of five, was because the coffee in my opinion was too strong. I would definitely recommend a visit 🙂

A nice place to eat with simple, but good, food. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5? They obviously put vinegar in the water when they poach their eggs, I would suggest that they use less as you can taste it! Also, I like my tea hot, (it wasn't). I don't put a lot of milk in, but if I had put a touch more in it would have been only lukewarm.

We have eaten here on many occasions and have always been extremely happy with the food and service. In fact we always rave about this restaurant to anyone vising Salisbury. We returned today for Brunch with the same expectations. Sadly, this was not the same experience. The menu has been radically altered and slimmed down since our last visit. I am a Vegetarian and like to eat healthily, but am also unable to eat eggs. There was, literally, nothing on the menu apart from a Vegan Fry Up or a Cheese Toastie that I would have been able to eat, had I liked greasy food - I don't. In the past there has been Mushrooms on Sourdough Toast - delicious, or homemade Houmous and oven cooked tomatoes - really yummy. I know this sounds like a first world problem but I was hungry and really looking forward to the meal. The restaurant was, also, much less busy than our previous visits and we are wondering if the change of menu may have also impacted other patrons' decision to attend. The service was still as good as ever but I ended up just having a coffee and a smoothie and returning home for breakfast. We won't be coming back.

Nice looking place but was a bit disappointed that the website menu isn’t up to date and items and prices are very different to those advertised. The coffee was good quality but not hot enough- neither was the hot milk with it, and the sandwiches, although well filled, were rather soggy - a good quality sourdough would have fared better and been more appropriate for the price. Service was cold- on inquiring politely for a wifi code I was met with a brusque ’no’ with no explanation. Beware- prices are ambitious but service is included as an expectation at the end.

The first time I went to the Salisbury Orangery, I’ve got to say it was brilliant. Great food, great service. I went back six weeks ago and it wasn’t so good but I put it down to it being really quite busy that day. However, I went back today and it was dreadful. I waited 10 minutes for any of the four staff to acknowledge we were there and find us a table. There was no one waiting ahead of us, and tables were free but the prioritised sorting coffees over getting us to a table. We then had another 10 minutes before we ordered and a further 10 minutes before anything came to the table. A coke and a smoothie shouldn’t have taken so long, food I can understand. Then, the sausage sandwich had way too much watercress on it which made the whole thing bitter, and the bacon on the poached eggs and bacon was burnt. Not overcooked/crispy, but burnt. Throughout, the staff working had an air of not really caring at all about what they were doing. No please, no thank you, no ‘is everything all right’, just short answers to questions asked whilst they stared off into the distance. I’ll not be back but, judging on how they behaved today, they’ll not care about that anyway.

The Salisbury Orangery has been my go-to coffee spot since they opened. The staff are so friendly and their coffee is delicious! During my last visit I treated myself to their full breakfast and I'm so glad I did - probably the best breakfast I've had in a long time 😋 Looking at the reviews regarding the temperature of the building I would just like to point out it is a Grade 2 listed building built in the 17th century so obviously it's not going to be the warmest building you've ever sat in. It's also not the fault of the owners or the poor staff who have to deal with people moaning over something they have no control over - if you're that cold, keep your coat on or order a bowl of soup to warm you up.

I went to The Salisbury Orangey at; 102 Crane St, Salisbury SP1 2QD. I ordered the Full Orangey breakfast and when it arrived the sausage was cold to the touch so i cut into it and put my tongue in the cut open part and the sausage was cold, the sausage also looked Not Brown as if it was undercooked too so i got up and let someone know immediately of my finding, the lady waitress i spoke to was extremely rude and obnoxious considering i was merely just letting her know in a pleasant manner, in any event i then sat back down in hope that a new cooked sausage would arrive before i had finished the rest of my breakfast and sure enough a golden brown looking sausage appeared that looked cooked and was clearly hot on the outside and hot on the inside as one might expect, i was delighted and thanked the waiter and ate all food and was most content. I then got up to pay and after i had paid the staff told me that i must never return there as they would be unwilling to serve me ever again! I was so surprised as i had not complained or made a fuss in any way what-so-ever. I then further questioned the man behind the counter as to why this decision was made, he informed me that it was because i had complained about the undercooked sausage...I then said that i have not ever complained to anyone about anything and that i was merely informing them that the sausage was not cooked correctly and that he should be thankful that someone is notifying them of undercooked food as that should allow them the opportunity to take action in the kitchen to prevent other possible food poisoning, prevention better than cure i would of thought but he just said we don't accept complaints and that i must never return because i complained. I further added that if they are to refuse custom of people who notify them of undercooked food then this implies they condone the under-cooking of meat rather than wanting to strive to improve customers safety is paramount in respect to health and hygiene in food safety yet this seems to of fallen on death ears as no one seemed interested. I asked to speak to the Owner and i was told that the owner, being; Nicola Jane LLOYD and Michael William WHITELEY had already told them to ban me from the premises!!! I searched online for a long-time to try and find a proper complaints procedure so i could find out if the owners really did ignorantly refuse me custom and to inform them of my experience yet i only found that their restaurants websites are equally as unfit as is their staff and food as their is no complaints procedure, nor telephone line nor email address, that's correct this company Don't care about feedback and don't want any which has forced my hand to know make this complaint and further notify Trading Standards of their lack of interest in their food being undercooked and that they refuse custom of anyone that has an issue with it so everyone be warned! I strongly believe not to continue funding any business of which i do not agree with and we the people must speak with our custom or lack their of in this case. This business has only been up and running for a couple of years as can be seen on Companies House and when i went to Trip Advisor to make this Complaint be known i could see that very similar complaints have indeed been made, mainly about the rude staff and yet again the business owners seemingly Don't Care! This in my view is the number 1 biggest concern of all as not taking undercooked food serious goes against the grain of basic health and safety in food hygiene and to further callously go on to refuse the custom of anyone who notifies them of such undercooked food further details the enormity of their lack of care or consideration for Basic Food Hygiene not to mention the lack of interest in customers. I find that the staff are and was extremely rude, obnoxious, immature, non professional and the owners Extreme Unethical business ethos is unjust, unreasonable, and not in the public's best interest.

A really pretty renovated property inside and out, attentive service with good options for gluten free or vegans. The full orangery was lovely and breakfast for 2 was a good price and to top it all off its in an ideal location.

I asked if we could sit outside and could someone clear the drinks n plates from the table. We waited and no one came so I went back in and asked could someone please clear the table and could we order some drinks. She followed...

Passed by on a long bike ride. Grabbed a quick coffee and snack by the lovely riverside, and sat to enjoy the ambience for a short while. The lady that gave me my coffee was very polite and lovely. And there were a few other cyclists that offered to watch my bike while I went in to order. I had a lovely experience here.

We arrived at 10.20 on a Sunday (opening time is 10am), to a full cafe and were told the kitchen was yet to open and that it may be a wait for the food. We decided to stay as we had heard good things about the food. However, it took us 35 minutes before we were asked for our drinks order. We then had to wait a further 15minutes for 2 coffees. The food eventually took 1hr 40 minutes to arrive at our table. The food itself was good quality, but I have to say, having only 1 chef for a 50 seater cafe on a Sunday morning Brunch Service is ridiculous.

Absolutely beautiful little cafe on the riverside. Not far from the water meadows, so perfect for a pre/post walk stop. Food was delicious and coffee was very nice.

Unfortunately the staff were not the friendliest and I felt unwelcome. Such a pity as the food was great, lovely venue, great decor.

26June2024 This ‘bad’ review is just to get the owners attention to the fact the phone number doesn’t work. My last visit was June 2023 and it was the same dead-phone at that time, but I chose to drive there and had a great meal and i cannot recall whether I said anything about the dead-phone at the time, but this time, with so many places closing, I’m not sure whether this one is still open. Happy to delete this review if I hear the phone is fixed.

On arrival we were very impressed, the pub seemed nicely busy and very quirky. We were greeted and shown to our booked table. Drinks were served quickly and our order taken (the menu was different from online but still had plenty of choice). The room was quite chilly and we quickly noticed quite a few customers had jumpers and coats on. My partner didn't remove his jacket. The food looked and tasted really good but unfortunately my dauphinoise potatoes were cold, I continued eating the other food on my plate and waited for the waiter to come to the table to check everything was ok, unfortunately no one came. I did then eat what I'd been served. It's such a shame the small details were overlooked as it could be really nice there. Sadly we won't be returning. My three tips for the venue would be, make sure the pub is comfortably warm, check the temperature of the food you are serving and always check that your customers are happy with the food served.
