Pleasant pub with some outside Toad Halls to sit in . Food a bit : the Fortune of the Pot' - pizza which I liked but my 1/2 3/4 & 100% French daughter , grandson granddaughter and chef son-in-law thought wasnt up to much..

Just stopped in for some food on the off chance. Honestly it was so fresh and delicious. Couldn't recommend it more 👌

I attend a quiz night on the 21st March. What a lovely evening it was, and it was very busy. Looking forward to the next one. Also hear the food is really good.

Fantastic food and service. It was my first time but definitely not last .

We went on a quiet day, so you would expect a problem-free visit. However, there were mistakes made with the drinks order, and then the food order. The quality of food was average at best. The lamb was very tough. They were very polite about the mistakes. Would not order food again. Menu is too overpriced / poor quality ingredients.

We are very as this is our local. Having eaten during the evenings here we decided to try the lunch time offering…a special of burger & chips. Might seem a little mundane however, the burger was very tasty and really just any old burger! Service excellent as always, welcoming, log fire burning, good company and good food, what more could anyone want on a drizzly Saturday afternoon!

Got takeaway fish and chip from here the other day. Very good. Definitely get food from here again.

Lovely hosts! We came to celebrate a birthday with a few drinks, game of pool and brilliant food. The chef made us a hot meze platter to share - even though they had run out of something that was meant to go on it, he went out of his way to make us a unique one with complementary bread. The food was amazing, would definitely recommend the sucuk (spicy Turkish sausage)

Highly recommend for amazing food and service . Food very reasonably priced with a good menu choice. I had the Chicken Shaslik which came with delicious flavoured rice and very fresh salad. Very generous portion but too good to waste. We also had the garlic prawn starter which had great flavours. Complimentary flat bread and dips were provided too. The restaurant is nicely designed and we sat near the wood burner which was very cosy on a dark winter evening. Definitely will be back! Thank you for a super meal.

Food was pretty good but the service was absolutely shocking. Rude, miserable staff will mean we won’t go back or recommend the pub to anyone, in fact we will actively steer people away. One staff member swore at my friend when she highlighted her drink had been mixed incorrectly. Couple that with staff who grunted at you when you asked for another drink or a menu, add not being able to use the toilet at 10.15pm because it had “been cleaned for the night” being offered a wine listed when only one bottle was available all are for a pretty sorry experience I would suggest no one repeats ! Such a shame because the food was good but the service ruined the experience.

We went for a pint and possibly more, but were told we couldn't sit outside on a nice sunny afternoon, what's the point of a beer garden if u cant sit out. The staff said they couldnt manage people outside. There was two of them and 2 people in the pub. We were happy to fetch our drinks from the bar and return our glasses. So skipped the meal and extra drink to sit in our own garden! Disappointing

Brought back the taste of Turkish food on holiday

We had a delicious meal at this Turkish Restaurant in the White Hart in the Wiltshire village of Burbage. The restaurant itself was fresh and clean. The staff were very polite and friendly. The menu had a nice variety of dishes. The food itself came in generous portions and was very tasty and beautifully presented. My wife had a lamb shank that very nearly defeated her appetite. I had Chicken Turkish Style which was also a generous meal. If you haven't eaten here, you have missed out on a lovely dining experience.

Just had a lovely meal. 4 of us all had a meal and a drink £72. Lovely Turkish food. And the bar is dog friendly.

Looking for a restaurant for Saturday lunch,found what we all thought was an English country pub but it was a Turkish restaurant in the middle of the country. A complimentary starter came as a result of us choosing the venue, choosing chicken casserole,lamb casserole and two other chicken dishes all with either chips or rice and a side salad. We all had fabulous meals for a very acceptable price and I managed to bring part of my meal uneaten away home with me. Prices are of course very good, disabled access is available,dogs are allowed and welcomed ,a good selection of local beers and cider's. Take away meals are available, making a welcome addition to the already exciting venue, we're most likely to return at a later date to sample some further foods .

We stopped here on our way home. What a lovely place this is we could have stayed all day. The food was absolutely fabulous and the young man who served us was very pleasant. The service was excellent .

Our second visit for a Turkish meal & it was much improved on our first visit when we think they were just settling in. Food was excellent, good portions, staff very attentive and helpful…nothing too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend for a relaxed evening with great food.

We love Turkish food so we thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed. The decor is lovely and the menu was great. But beware , the portions are big !!! We had mezze platter which was so so good and all homemade and we couldn't eat all our main course but the lovely waitress packed it up in a takeaway box. The waitresses were attentive and chatty which added to the relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Delicious vegan food, perfect quality. Only issue I found was the menu needs editing, since V and VG symbols are a bit muddled... For example, dishes with cheese labelled "V for Vegan" and dishes that appear to be Vegan are labelled as "VG for Vegetarian". Staff friendly and helpful though, fantastic food, pleasant atmosphere, highly recommended.

This is our first visit for food ever since the pub has reopened under new management and we had a really fantastic meal! We were both met with a warm welcome and the service was attentive throughout our meal, really exceptional service! Both my husband and myself had the chicken and lamb grilled kebab, this was served with rice and a delicious salad and we thought it was absolutely amazing, we really appreciated the complimentary bread and dips that were offered at the start of the meal too! We can highly recommend The White Hart in Burbage, you will not be disappointed and we would like to thank all the staff for all their attentiveness and good service. We will be back, we only live a five minutes walk away from the pub!!!

We ate there last night, food is excellent. They serve a good range of Turkish food including some greek/cypriot dishes and meze. Recommend the chicken shish with rice.

A really nice pub, with excellent Turkish food. Four of us had lunch here recently - most had the lamb guvak (?), which was delicious and reasonably priced. Friendly staff too.

Can get Packed so book. Atmosphere amazing, food amazing Staff are just 5 star. Good price. Friendly pub. Large portions. Amazing Turkish food. Does fish and chips if not adventurous. Better than most places around here. Pool table at one end. then the bar then fine dining at the other. Sophie, (the Boss) welcomes you with a genuine smile. Alternatively I can say. We've eaten here several times and nothing is ever too much trouble for Claire and her team. Straightforward pub grub, served fresh with a smile - always delicious and perfectly done. This pub is a real community treasure and an asset to the village, Burbage is very lucky!

The White Hart hosted my sons 13th birthday party in April 22. I asked Claire to cater for two groups: burgers and chips for the children and also a buffet and bar tab for the parents (because we need to celebrate too!). Claire was brilliant. She was super patient, even while guest numbers flexed up and down and I couldn't seem to make any decisions. She, and her team bent over backwards to make the whole thing super easy, and I'm very grateful and happy with the result. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The food was great (and plentiful) and the added advantage of the gorgeous garden pods made it such a brilliant atmosphere.

What a little gem we have with The White Hart. Always very welcoming and friendly. We have eaten numerous times in the gorgeous tree houses, food is perfect, cooked fresh and plenty of it. Can’t rate this highly enough.

Really loved our birthday treat meal and drinks at our fabulous village pub. The Guiness was poured as well as they do it in Dublin. White Bait starter was delicious. Great beer battered cod and chips for myself, and an incredibly generous and fresh cheese ploughman's for my wife. We could not have asked for better. Dog friendly so able to have the company of our Jack Russell terrier as well. The tree houses are a real feature and although the night was chilly we were warm under the wall heater inside our dining space which was unique and comfortable. The staff were incredible, attentive, warm, and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We booked via the pubs own website and everything was ready for us. To sum up the offering we received I would describe it as generous, great quality, and excellent value for money. Pay them a visit and I am sure they will not disappoint you.

Terrific pub. We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon after a walk in the forest near Marlborough with the kids. We sat in a ‘tree house’ while the excellent staff plied us with desserts, beer and coffee. Ask about the local ales. Small extra charge for sitting out in a tree house which seems perfectly reasonable as it’s a great space they’ve made. Highly recommended!

Super pub that does great guest ales and food either in well-chosen visiting ‘pop up’ format or in-house on Saturdays. The proprietors have really made the most of the outdoor space this last year and are to be applauded. Child-friendly pub who have been extremely kind to visiting children as well as those in the village. One example was an Easter egg hunt around the village. We love the tree-houses!

We had a lovely evening with family at the White Hart. We sat in one of the new tree houses (Badgers Den) Fantastic service, all staff very polite, the food was excellent freahky prepared. The tree houses are very nice and seated us 7 easily and the menu changes daily. Definitely recommend.

Popped in for a quick drink on a Sunday afternoon... Brilliant service , very friendly staff and owners plus local customers! And having seen some food being served to other customers, we now plan to pop in next weekend for lunch or dinner!! Have to say it looked delicious!! They have installed a great awning at the front !

We only stopped for a couple of drinks but very nice staff and good music in the fabulous wooden pods. Will definitely return.

Good beers, take away Fish and Chips, great staff and social distancing very easy to follow. Plenty of outdoor seating. We shall definitely return.

Best social distancing measures in a pub I've seen so far. Tables are spaced at least 1 metre apart. Plastic screens between you and the bar staff. Hand sanitizer when you arrive, and a log book to track who has arrived and left so in the unlikely event that someone actually was infected when they visited, you'd know that you had made contact. There's new outdoor seating, which is lovely if the weather is good, and the restrooms are 1 in 1 out, meaning that you can comfortably space yourself out throughout the establishment.
