Frequently go to SG for their smooth coffee and BEST cake or to have their amazing waffles! Amazing food and always service with a smile. The girls are so lovely and helpful, it’s definitely my go to place when meeting friends. I also love that it caters for gluten free and vegans which is a real win! Such a a chill atmosphere in a quirky part of town.

Avoid! We went in for ice cream - they had about 3 flavours out of the 15 or so advertised. They blamed delivery. When we ordered 5 they handed us 5 pathetic tiny scoops in tubs - didn’t even ask if that was ok. When we complained the manager aggressively told us “we are closing next week so running supplies down” as if we were somehow outrageous to expect cones/to be told there was no cones before we paid. It needs a good clean too inside.

Always wanted to visit this place have seen people pop in on facebook photos several times . It’s now called the jailhouse Diner and looks fab inside like a 50/60’s diner red and white theme with Elvis pictures. just brilliant. staff very helpful, food great. Thank you so much for a great first visit. keep up the good work .

Slow service, lukewarm coffees and teas all round. Staff friendly enough but drinks quality not good enough for the price paid. Didn’t ask for drinks to be remade as that would have been another 10 minute wait.

The Eight Kings is handily placed for Portland Bill and walkers . We walked from Easton which took about 30 minutes The pub is split into a bar and restaurant, we opted for the Sunday carvery. Beef , Pork and Gammon were on offer , and you can choose 2 of the 3 meats Help yourself to the vegetable section and roast potatoes Service was good , drinks quickly brought to the table All in you can’t go wrong for the price

Visited yesterday with a friend for brunch and had two delicious freshly cooked meals of cheese omelette and chips, jacket potatoes with cheese and beans. Could not fault the food which was beautifully presented . The jacket potatoes came with a side salad and homemade coleslaw. Two coffees were generous in size, delicious, hot and came with a biscuit. All this for under £22 ! The waiter was charming and attentive. Such a difference from a visit to a Manor House on the Fleet last week where a disappointing afternoon tea cost x 3 times the price.

Convenient for an ice cream break in front of the beach. Not really a beach view and street location with traffic, but small tables on the street are practical all the same. Staff at the reception sober and super efficient. Very reasonable prices. Good value for money. Special mention to the vanilla clotted ice cream, a treat! Very dog friendly with a special ice cream section for dogs
