Visited at lunchtime and it was very busy, but didn’t wait too long to get a table. There was seating both inside and out. There was a great selection of savouries and cakes, made in the bakery next door, along with a good choice of coffees and other hot and cold drinks. It’s clearly a very popular place . Service was excellent and staff were friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will visit again soon.

Loved this place, nice friendly vibe. Impressive selection of savouries from filled croissants to superior focaccia toasties, pies and upmarket sausage rolls. It was busy but service quite quick and coffee very good. I left my car keys there and after messaging them they went above and beyond in facilitating delivery to my door three days later. We will definitely return next time we are in the area and would recommend if you need an appetising quick lunch. Added bonus was plentiful outdoor seating as it was a fine day.

Great atmosphere, easy to park. Most amazing cakes. My chocolate brownie just melts in my mouth. My husband stocked up on the most amazing dough buns. Staff so friendly, reasonably priced.

Visited on our way back from a walk round Portland Bill. This looks like a new cafe and we started with a early morning coffee and cake and came back for lunch. The cafe has a good selection of cakes and sausage rolls, but it needs to find a better way of ordering and serving as today we had to queue and then got to the front and no sausage rolls left, we arrived at 1230 so not late in the day. It could be a really great place and much better than Gregg's.. good luck on your journey and a great sausage roll, coffee and cake.

It is a great place to meet and has plenty of room 2 levels Very busy Food and coffee was great My only issue due to it being popular i was unable to get a seat when I took and elderly relative who was not able to get up to next level and was cold wet outside Other than this a great place It also has a shop with Dorset products

Really surprised how busy it was for a cold November day but we could see why . Lovely selection of hot food and so many cakes it made it hard to choose . We had the lamb pasty , pork cheese and marmite sausage roll, cheese and ham croissant and then some cakes , all really tasty. Great friendly staff . Coffee delicious aswell. Also dog friendly .

Stopped here after a dog walk for some brunch. This place has a great selection of sandwiches, croissants, cakes, pasties and sausage rolls. Had a steak and blue cheese pasty, whilst my partner had a chicken chorizo one. Washed it down with a flat white and had a kinder bueno blondie afterwards. All of the food was great and the staff were really friendly. Would definitely come again

Great selection top quality food and beverages. The cheese and ham croissants and cheese straws were the best I've ever tasted. Not just a measly drizzle of cheese but a good portion which you could actually taste! The staff were great and welcoming. A bonus for us was they accepted our two 🐕 on site. Reasonably priced for the quality of food served up. Definitely visit again if we are in the area. It was very busy at lunchtime with the interior area full and many people sitting outside.

We had coffee and cake here and enjoyed it. There was a large selection of cakes and savoury items. The cake is served straightaway but then they bring the coffee to you once it is ready. They were incredibly busy when we went (a rainy half-term day) and we had to wait for a table to become free. The amount of customers needing to be served also meant that we had eaten the delicious cake before the coffee arrived. We will certainly visit again next time we are in the area.

Wandered past without knowing or realising what was behind the door? To my surprise, a fantastic little cafe. Named the Beehive Bakery we were in for a real treat when we entered the Cafe. Clean with a great selection of fresh pastries and snacks at good prices. My biggest regret was, we were on the last day of our holiday so no chance to return. But one day we will.

I'm so glad I looked this place up because it's the sort of place I love but I'd have dismissed it because of where it is in a bland looking unit on a business estate. Plenty of parking here, outdoor seating, a mezzanine and takeaways. We ate in - delicious cheese scone (to remember my Mum by), roasted veg pasty, Baboo ice-cream, and the tastiest decaf mocha I've had in a long term - maybe ever. All for around £20. Loved it.

Lovely coffees, and the 'sausage' rolls were to die for - lovely flaky pastry with sesame seeds on top: my husband had the pork & chorizo roll, I had veggie cheese & marmite. Lovely sitting in the sun outside.

Really nice food.. stumbled across by accident on the way to the D Day Museum. Had a roasted veg and halloumi toastie and an Eccles cake which is the best I have ever tasted.. considered queuing to try another cake just to see if it was as delicious but the queue was too long. If I ever go back to this area I will 100% come back here!

Fantastic coffee and bakery offering extras like eggs, honey, bee related gifts. The cafe is well stocked with excellent cakes and pastries hot and cold food. Seating upstairs, ground floor and outside so you can always get a space. Prices are excellent compared to other coffee shops locally. Only suggestion would be perhaps have two persons making coffee in busy period as the coffee often takes a while to arrive. Staff were very pleasant. Would highly recommend.

Doesn't look great from outside - located in a 'shed' on the edge of a small industrial estate. Appearances can be very deceptive! The people are lovely, the food is all home made, the coffee is excellent and the views from the upper floor are breathtaking (perfectly normal for Portland locals). The prices are very reasonable. Add in the opportunity to buy fresh made sourdough and local free-range eggs and the only problem is getting a table.

Great coffee, lovely susage roll, swift service. Plenty of seating, staff who were on the ball and knew what they were doing. All in all a good experience.

Lovely service and great value. Although it’s counter service you only have to order and they bring drinks etc to your table (so refreshing) . They do lovely pastries / croissant/pasties at amazing prices. If the did home cooked meals of that quality I’d probably move in.,,,,

Cheerful, friendly staff and good quality bakery items made this a pleasant visit. We took my disabled mother in law and were pleased to find plenty of nearby parking and easy wheelchair access. The coffee was good and my mother in law enjoyed the traditional Portland dough buns! I had a delicious cheese straw. It was a good find on a dull winter day 😊

As usual the service was excellent, but it would have been lovely to have the option of something like a baked potato at lunchtime. The pork sausage rolls are lovely but often not enough! A selection of baked potatoes and fillings would be an excellent addition to the menu!

We have just had a small gathering for my mums 70th birthday at the beehive. We had exclusive use of the upstairs for a couple of hours and paid for a buffet. We had fingers rolls which we had a choice of fillings, bite size versions of the yummy sausage rolls they serve from the counter and a selection of mini cakes. The food was delicious and enough to go along with drinks ordered from the counter. The space is perfect for a smaller gathering (we had 32) to mingle and celebrate. Jen and her team are very accommodating and the service was really good. We love coming to the beehive but this was the perfect venue for our celebration. I can’t recommend it enough.

The Beehive is right on the edge of Portland just as you leave the road joining Weymouth and Portland. It makes for a great spot to have a coffee and eats before exploring Portland. The place is so clean and the service is good. We like sitting outside in the sun and plotting our walk or swimming adventure. Really unusual and quirky!!

My wife and I call in here every time we visit Weymouth We enjoy the superb crab sandwiches and cakes, but this is the first time we have tried the seafood sharer. Accompanied with toasted ciabatta, it contains scampi, squid, prawn, cod, mackerel pate, crab, and to our delight, sweet potato chips - all of the highest standard. Looking forward to our next visit.

A wonderful welcome for our 1st visit to the veterans hub. And cheesy, hammy, eggy on the menu too. We will certainly be back to support the charity again.
