The Veterans Hub in Weymouth and Portland

A wonderful welcome for our 1st visit to the veterans hub. And cheesy, hammy, eggy on the menu too. We will certainly be back to support the charity again.

Real nice.. you don't have to be veteran to go, which makes it even nicer. But if you are a veteran, they'll discount your purchase. Support our veterans!

An absolute pleasure to visit this amazing veterans hub. Staff were extremely welcoming. Food and drinks were very reasonable priced and great quality. They are doing amazing work for veterans. First visit to the Veteran's Hub and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Once inside its like a tardis with shop, cafe, gardens and gym. Not to mention holistic therapies. It's open to all and Veteran's are very welcome.

Absolutely amazing place, perfect for those who are serving, served or those who just want a friendly cafe. Great food, coffee and atmosphere. Cannot recommend it enough

Very friendly, great food and great value, and very generous too. Bread, buns and croissants left for people to take with a donation if you want to leave one. A place to gather inside and out, with a gym, a small library plus other things too. A fantastic community hub and not just for veterans. Excellent.

Restricted open times but this outlet does provide indoor and outdoor seating and tables and at the same time your supporting a worthwhile cause. The portions are very large indeed.

I visited 22august 2022..Excellent place with caring people in the NAAFI.. great penants up and memorabilia with a remembrance wall, I was humbled..👍 The Flapjacks are the best you will ever get anywhere hand's down..big thumbs up.long may this be open .. have a ride out a enjoy..

What a lovely friendly establishment, only down side was not much space inside, but plenty of outside seating! An who wants to sit inside anyway!!! We only had lattes here but we were in there chatting for over an hour an a half, felt so comfy! It's lovely an clean, it has a true community spirit, it seems like a place if you walked in alone, you certainly wouldn't feel alone after being there a few minutes🙂 I have nothing but praise your the veterans hub, certainly wasn't what I expected! It really is a pleasant experience there, certainly somewhere since going I have recommended to my friends an family! Keep up the excellent work guys you have got it spot on 😊😊😊

After hearing about The Veterans Hub Community Cafe I thought I’d call in for a coffee and bacon roll. Staff and everyone else I came across here are very friendly, it’s nice to talk to friendly people. Interesting place, nice outside seating area and they have a very nice garden which you will need permission to enter. My understanding is that this cafe isn’t just for Veterans, it’s for everyone in the Community. I really enjoyed my visit, looking forward to coming here again.

I am new to leaving reviews and felt compelled to say what a fantastic place this is. Totally genuine run by people that really care about the people who put there lives on the line for this country we call England. We need to do more for the people that have made this Country great.

Visited at lunchtime with two of my veteran buddies. This place is brilliant, great value food and drink. The most important thing is that there is always someone on hand if you need help. Not just veterans either, any member of the local community can access help here.

The Veterans Hub is a warm welcome. Not only is the food and drink marvellously the service is great. The main focus is helping Veterans but they don't ignore the whole community. Simply outstanding

First I must comment on the quality of the food and the brilliant service we received from The Veterans Hub. The staff are delightful and they serve a range of hot food, delicious cakes and treats, and drinks to suit everyone. It is well worth a visit to their lovely decked garden and enjoy the atmosphere whilst supporting a wonderful cause. Whether you are visiting or a local, I would highly recommend! I must also comment on the character of the owners, Andy and Lisa, who looked after my family and I after an accident. We just happened to be passing by but Andy couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. Upon returning a few days later Lisa was equally as supportive and we couldn’t be more grateful. This is a testament to the selflessness and good nature of these people, and they are an asset to the community! Their business is well worth supporting and the impact they have on veterans’ lives is immeasurable. Within five minutes of arriving you can see the community spirit there and how this hub is a wonderful place to be. Thank you so much!

A great organisation offering support to forces veterans. I was able to get some very useful advice for a family member from the visiting Well Being Officer that attends on Thursdays. Very friendly and welcoming people and good espresso.

Went on Christmas Eve for breakfast. Well what an amazing experience. Friendly service, wonderful fresh food, even a freshly made burger at 10.15am! Would recommend this place for the food alone but what they do for the community is exceptional. Please support this great place.

One amazing place, an oasis of calm

Great little place for a cup of tea and piece of cake. Small inside seating area and a lovely outside decking. Toilet was clean and spacious with baby change. The staff were friendly and busy making cakes when we were there. Milkshake was made with ice cream and topped with cream and syrup, cakes were gorgeous. Very laid back, it was like sitting in someone's back garden. I will certainly go again.

We visited their open day on Saturday 8th Jun and was not disappointed from all we'd read and heard about the hub. As a veteran, I was particularly impressed by the work being done to support those who are now finding it difficult to live with their experiences. My wife and I have been very fortunate, sadly, that is not true for everyone and we will now make it our business to help when and where we can. If you care about our veterans, then please help, even buying a coffee and cake helps! Oh, and the BBQ was superb.

Visited again today with my daughter grandsons friend and their son.coffee soft drinks cakes milkshakes tea cakes were devoured by my lot. I had with my daughter a freshly made soft gooey tasty delicious carrot cake.was by far the best I had ever eaten, it was gorgeous really it was!!!Kids had fun running around playing with the other vets and stroking the visiting dogs.definatly another visit for next week.keep up the great work xx

Now a regular visitor here and a veteran myself a review is well overdue. Set back behind the scenes from the busy main road, the Veterans Hub does exactly what it says on the tin. Growing in popularity the hub brings veterans and their families together. Many of us leave the services and can often become isolated, detached from our own. Currently in the process of its evolution the hub serves tea, coffee, cold drinks and delicious cakes. More recently hot food has found its way to the menu. Run by volunteers providing great friendly service and affordable prices you cant go far wrong. Scratch beyond the hubs surface and your see its true purpose ‘Veterans supporting veterans’. Undoubtedly the hub has pulled the veterans community together, reaching out to all inclusively. Help is there for those who need it, guidance for when we need it. Spending a fair few Saturday mornings here it’s apparent how important the work of the hub really is. Having somewhere to go, having someone to talk too, not having to face a crisis alone. Hats off to the founders and all those who show their support. Dog friendly, child friendly and most of all people friendly.

We have visited this establishment several times and are always welcomed with open arms, every customer is treated like an old friend when they walk through the gate. They have a great selection of cakes, shakes and a good 'brew' which is sourced from a veteran owned company, as is the coffee. There's usually someone around that can offer help and advice regarding anything veteran related, and they are a great friendly bunch to chat to.

Amazing cakes. Great people who want to give veterans a safe habour.

Stopped on my way though after reading some reviews on Facebook. I was not disappointed, milkshake my son had was amazing. Coffee was a good brew. However the lemon cake the boy and I shared was the lighted and most stunning cake I’d eaten for years. The work these guys and girls do in the local community is brilliant and the other customers always have an interesting story to tell. This is a must stop if you are passing and a hunt out if you are in the area!
