I'm not sure why we haven't got around to dining at Ollies previously, but better late than never. We dined here for lunch and were delighted with our experience. Although it was a set course lunch menu the choice was adequate. The wine list was extensive and had some excellent choices. The service was excellent and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious and well prepared and presented. We enjoyed monkfish bites served as pre lunch nibbles, classic prawn cocktail and Chinese five spice pork belly bites, followed by rib eye steaks. The steaks were perfectly cooked, tender and succulent. If you love desserts the lemon meringue is out of this world, soft buttery pastry, fresh lemon filling (not awful lemon essence flavour) topped with Italian meringue ....heaven on a plate. This restaurant deserves its consistently good reviews.

We nearly missed you. What ravishing reviews! As is often the case had been meaning to visit this fab little café but it's taken a message on Facebook to learn you're moving on. Excellent toasties today, generous fillings and delicious. Great coffee. Clearly supported by locals and regulars. Doggy friendly and thankfully no plastic plants! That alone is worth a star. Lovely team. Best wishes for the future. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

Just local cafe with a little for everyone. Menu small, but usually that is all you want anyway after a 45 min talk and a walk in woods. Very fairly priced for the day out food

Used this pub for many years when visiting Torquay , decided to eat here last Sunday evening we popped in to find out what time serving food till and was told 9pm so 7 of us went for food at 8.30pm , wish I never bothered clearly they wasn’t happy with us going so close to 9pm ! Waiter who served us could do with cracking a smile when you have a table spending £200 on food , I had the surf and turf as it’s now a very basic menu . Fresh prawns served in a little pot was like mush at the bottom and uncooked chips which I did tell the waiter who offered another bowl . Also the added pepper corn sauce was more like a packed mix gravy . Clearly food rushed as it was time for them to close so maybe change closing times. Even though the pub area had its usual happy vibe it doesn’t follow into the restaurant. Much cheaper and happy places near by . Sorry Hope in Wall I will not be returning !

Lovely, friendly service, the savoury tea was delicious. The servers were so chatty and helpful and the prices were really reasonable.
