Had an excellent sea bass and king prawn dish with a rich tomato and chorizo sauce. The menu is extensive and a great mix of pub grub and more fanciful recipes. Lovely service and garden to boot

It was a lovely warm, sunny day, so we hopped-on the M3 Metro-bus service into Bristol’s City Centre, had a shorter than normal walk around as it was very warm and then headed up to Clifton to visit this bakery café. We were very warm after our mostly uphill 1.5 mike hike, so we were glad to be in this pleasant café, and out of the strong noontime sunshine. This second visit here was, unlike the first, part of our plan; we wanted to taste more of the fare on offer, particularly the Sausage Rolls. Cold drinks were a priority as we had emptied our cold water bottles during our walk. We ordered a Peach Iced Tea and a Lemongrass Ginger Beer (the latter being for myself) plus a sausage roll each. The drinks were very refreshing and had a great flavour, they reinvigorated us and set the scene for the sausage rolls. The sausage rolls were fabulous; beautifully pink-cooked pork meat filling, with a good strong flavour of fennel (a favourite for both of us). I have to admit now that I had a second one; possible that was a bit piggish but don’t condemn me unless you have tried one! We decided we should have a cake each my Partner opting for the ‘Milk Chocolate and Banana Muffin’ and I had a small slice of ‘Apple & Blackcurrant Crumble Jack’. Both were very good and really enjoyed. It is rare we have such an inexpensive lunch especially when out in Bristol but it is was great as a change. It was also a pleasant experience as the café is airy and pleasantly cool on this very warm day (31°C). Service was excellent and personable.

Lovely setting but very very overpriced. £12.50 for a large wine is ridiculous. I had halloumi salad which had 2 small pieces of halloumi and a small bit of avocado which was lovely but for over £16 it’s just too expensive for what it is. I really want this restaurant to do well as it’s ideal for the area but the pricing left us leaving no tip for the first time ever since going out with friends.

Oh wow!! What a lovely place. We visited here for the first time on our yearly trip to Bristol and it was wonderful. It's in a nice pretty location at Clifton village, by a little quant street with other eateries and pretty shops. It had a really lovely vibe. We sat outside and soaked up the atmosphere. Very relaxing. The lady who served us was so welcoming and friendly and gave us plenty of time to choose (so many delicious things to choose from it took us a while!!) The cafe is pretty inside, it also has a little shop area selling gifts and house things. There is such a wonderful selection of vegan cakes and drinks. The cakes looked amazing. They certainly know how to showcase vegan cakes. I wanted to try all of them 😋 The drink selection was really good too, lots of unusual things to try. The lavender coffee was delicious. All in all, the food, atmosphere, drinks and service was fantastic and we'll certainly return on our next visit to Bristol. This place was a highlight of our visit. Just wish we didn't live so far away....this would be a regular coffee and cake stop for us 😋😋😋
