Love the Egg ... great staff service and atmosphere like the daytime brunch offer.. BUT sad to say the new evening menu 🍕 pizza offering is *mediocre* at best. Bring back the GBros (pictured) ..or similar quality..even the small plates offer again... cmon guys you can do better than this.

Service was excellent- they accommodated us quickly despite the place being full. Food took a while to come out- but that was expected due to the number of people. Service was excellent, couldn’t fault it.

Coffee was great, food arrived lukewarm, portion was not great for the price, and neither was the quality of some ingredients.

Came in for Sunday brunch with my partner and dog and at first impressions all was going well. The service was faultless and we were sat in a nice quiet corner away from other dogs (which my dog was very grateful for 🐶) Unfortunately we found the food to be incredibly lacking. I had the halloumi potato hash and my partner had the meaty poutine. Both dishes felt like they were trying a bit too hard to be fancy and whilst the presentation was really good, the actual taste was just not there at all. The service really was great, it’s purely just the food which didn’t hit the mark for us.

I come here regularly and always get a great service with friendly vibes from the team and customers, all to the sound of lush music. It’s spacious and vibrant with plenty of indoor plants, as well as consistent evening events. It’s my go-to cafe to work and socialise in the area! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very nice brunch. Tasty food. Kimchi mushrooms were a hit. I'm amazed at how long people are willing to stand in line to get service for this however. Is it worth the wait ? Probs yes. Worth 1 hour wait? No One loo for this small, popular and nice venue, while serving potent coffee, one toilet is a crime. People eating along a bench meer inches from a person pooping. I suppose if you waited 1 hour you aren't concerned with the situation, but I felt a bit gross when I emerged after destroying that toilet. The glances from the bench eaters was enough to make me want hold my head in either shame or hold it up in triumph. Lest to say it's nice but you may come out with conflicting opinions as I just did. Happy queuing.

It's a cozy and lovely place to dine with family. Staff are friendly and food is great. Smoked salmon and potato hash is really delicious. Hope can try milkshakes next time as we're told they got no ice cream today.

Just lush. The blonde girl who greeted us when we arrived was jokes and so real. Loved it.

Used to love this place in the evenings but been disappointed the last few times we've been. The fire used to always be lit in winter but isn't now and it's cold. Evening menu has been cut back to pizza and chips and kitchen hasn't been open so can't even get chips. Some nice gins on offer but the tonic water is dreadful so no point in ordering. Staff are still lovely but the whole experience feels like it's gone downhill recently. Please get the fire, the kitchen and the tonic sorted so it can go back to being one of my favourite places to go in the evening again.

Really enjoyed our brunch at The Craft Egg! We were served by Toby who was so friendly, the atmosphere was inviting and the food was delicious. I had the veggie breakfast which was stunning. Will definitely come back again!

Lovely relaxed and friendly staff. The Afghan eggs are delicious. Menu is easy to decipher and easily marked for allergies and intolerances. Nice place to chill and enjoy the plants and yummy food. :)

Crafty guys fertilised my eggs for me

I've been to the Crafty Egg in Fishponds several times since my daughter moved to the area. The restaurant has a cosy welcoming atmosphere. The staff are unfailingly polite and friendly even at the most hectic periods. The food is very good and reasonably priced. My daughter's dog is always welcome!

Unfortunately cannot rate anything as was turned away due to the whole pub being booked out by a painting group. They were only taking up the back space, I would’ve understood if there were signs to indicate but there was nothing.

Absolutely awesome, been meaning to come here for ages and visited for drinks and some pizza with friends last night. The staff were really friendly, great range of beers and cider and the pizza was fantastic. Can't wait to come back! Came back for Toby's quiz night and had a great time, helped that we won!

Staff were lovely, but the food was pretty disappointing. We expected much better given the volume of great reviews! Chorizo hash was over done on every component, eggs were hard and over done on both the chorizo hash and the breakfast. Expected so much more!! Saving grace were the staff and coffees.

Nice beer, but terrible staff. When asked a simple question if they had pickled eggs they just pointed to the menu and told us to check. One pint was 3 quarter full.

I was disappointed, i'd heard such good things. Stood for 15 mins waiting to ask about how we order from outside seating with all staff avoiding eye contact etc... eventually gave up and asked other customers. We had to order at bar due to being outside which is fine, but the addition of a service charge (they say it's optional but its added to your bill at point of paying, before any service received) left a bad taste after being ignored so long. Food was ok, my Turkish eggs were over cooked (hard yolk) and yoghurt quite flavourless. Others in our group were happier with their veggie breakfasts etc. A very expensive brunch, Porto next door so much better and better prices and tastier food. It's a shame but I doubt we'll be back after that.

No vegan options anymore. Ordered off menu and they accommodated but…they really need a free decent vegan options. This is Bristol after all…

The food is excellent, next time will try the kimchi mushrooms (didn’t dare to try on my first visit) The staffs are friendly, polite, and energetic! Love the ambiance there…. Comfortable and relaxing….. highly recommend this place’s .

The coffee took ages to arrive and when we were on our way home we realised we hadn’t had the cake we had paid for. Shame.

Lovely atmosphere and lots of tables compared to other cafes. However, I have not been satisfied with the food the last few times I have been. There have been hairs in my food on several occasions and also eggshells. Also, we have been given water glasses with lipstick marks on atleast twice now. Furthermore , the waiter/waitresses march our food/drinks around the tables before they realise it is ours, even though we give them our table number when ordering (this has happened every time). A nice place and location but a shame about the service and cleanliness.

Food and service is always brilliant

Nice location, decent option for the area but I’m sorry but £3.70 for a cup of tea, not even a pot, is too much. It must put some people off. Perhaps this is just the way things are now in Bristol but surely this is too much.

Don’t know how I haven’t found this place before. The staff are ace and the place has a buzz. Suits all ages without feeling too old or too young. Well done guys!

Crafty Egg?... more like Rotten Egg. I reluctantly went back to the crafty egg on Fishponds road because FED was full, and the experience was worse than usual. For food that is so overpriced and desperately below average you would expect better customer service but no. I don't know what has changed but the vibe is gone. Staff seem inconvenienced by our meer presence and it would have been good not to be able to hear the loud conversations from the kitchen staff. Yes we could hear you and got the message loud and clear. Will not be going back, because I don't feel welcomed there.

The pancakes were amazing 🤩 The café is clean and welcoming. So dog friendly and our server was brilliant. so helpful and friendly 😁 would definitely return next time I'm in Bristol

Perfect weekend brunch spot. We ordered the halloumi hash and poutine breakfast - both of which were delicious! Also had bloody Marys which were soooo good. Made us and our dog very welcome. Thank you!

Blake was so lovely always we a smile in his face we are in love with him nor sure if he works here but if he doesnt you should employ him, the place just a normal pub but he deserve 5 stars. Very middle claaaaaassss we JUST ADORE it here

Meaty Crafty - ticks both quality & quantity boxes. Service was friendly and professional. Not uber hipster either, just a nice place that does good breakfasts.

Decent venue for a drink - friendly atmosphere and if you fancy a proper coffee with a bit of Latte art - see Blake! Dog friendly - but they do tend to keep running out of various drinks!

Nice venue, was lots of choices for seating and it was comfortable. We went at a quiet time which was good as me and my friend were catching up. We didn't order any food, just a small cake and coffee. A couple of things went wrong with the order, mainly that they forgot the cake! The coffee was nice and smooth. We would go again and perhaps try out the food next time.

One of the worst places we’ve been in Bristol. From the service to the food there was no one thing we’ve left happy about. We’ve spent more than £30 without eating. My partner didn’t even touch the food! I’ve worked in hospitality before so I know I to do a good customer service and the guy that came to us definitely had no clue of what it means. Definitely first and last time

Today I had to wait a little while for a coffee - I realised that in maybe 30 visits this is the only issue I've ever had here. Always polite and friendly staff, and an important part of the neighborhood.

We came in as a group of four for brunch and were met with a blonde plaited haired waitress who seemed annoyed to be at work on a Sunday. Luckily she wasn’t our server and instead we had a great guy called Toby who couldn’t do enough for us, when the kitchen messed up one of our orders he was very quick in making sure we got our replacement food quickly and made it very apparent he cared about our experience. Sadly the food was very overpriced and all the cutlery was dirty with chunks of food stuck to them, this means we wouldn’t go back but great feedback to Toby he did a brilliant job!

Used to really enjoy going to the Crafty Egg but the last 2 Saturdays in a row it has unexpectedly closed by 21:30 when opening hours have said it closes at midnight. Last week was a little quiet so thought it was a one off but this week there were full 5 tables of people having fun - we would have happily stayed until closing having drinks. Not only that, the staff would start putting chairs on tables and mopping the floor around you, making the last drink quite uncomfortable and felt very much hurried out. Such a shame :(

One of my favourite places! Best breakfast in Bristol, extremely mouthwatering, the garden is a great sun trap and the cocktails are so tasty. But most of all the staff just make this place soooo friendly and welcoming. Thank you to Toby for continually looking after me and my wife.

The food is very fresh and I thought the Meaty Poutine was outstanding and very generous . The atmosphere is very good; there is lots of space, the decor is relaxed and interesting and the music is well chosen and eclectic.

Lovely brunch spot with friendly servers! Tried the gut cleansing drink "the firestarter" for the first time😋 Recommends the brioche - very soft and fluffy without getting soggy, toasted just right. The bathroom is decently lit and clean too. 👍

Visited the Crafty egg a few times for some casual drinks. But we have just had our first lunch here and it was delicious. Absolutely recommend the meaty poutine! Also dog friendly, our fury friend loves it too, he is always served a drink as soon as he walks through the door and made a fuss of.

Lovely place, really friendly and engaged staff, a great atmosphere and incredible pizza. A real gem in Fishponds. Ps attended again and staff still brilliant and the new menu is amazing. Great beet too!

Great place. My iced coffee was genuinely the best I have ever had. And the staff were all in very high spirits.

Fantastic place, wasn't the obvious place to spend the England final, yet was a great night, the crowd was small, talkative, kind, no drunk brutes screaming racial abuse at the TV. Great decore very comfy. Bar staff very bubbly, extremely friendly.

Great quirky brunch spot that's great for veggies and vegans. Both their vegan and veggie fry ups were super tasty and interesting take on the classic. Coffee was smooth and full bodied

Good food, and usually very good service. Let down by the cleanliness of the men’s toilets, and the volume of the music being played, which makes it hard to have a conversation at a normal level.
