Where to start, the traditional taftoon bread was the shop bought pita bread, all of the starters tasted like manufactured and put on the plate with ridiculous prices. Rice portions super small. Overall I would rather have a sandwich than eating at Persian Lounge.

I am fortunate to be able to visit regularly.Arthurs coffee is the best in town! It has such a warm and inviting ambience, staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful pub with a roaring open fire which was very welcome on a very rainy day! We came to explore the rocks and managed a wet circuit from Toad Rock to Happy Valley and back via Bulls Hollow which was really enjoyable. Lunch was fab, coffee beautifully served (with a cup and saucer!) and then home made pies with lovely gravy and a Toad burger. Delicious. Great to have found this little spot. Highly recommend. Dog friendly too.

Love this place, it's a little gem. Lovely home cooked food. The staff are welcoming, lovely, chatty and friendly. My new place to go to with my mum. We love it.

Stopped for a drink and a snack after a walk. Good Covid precautions and very quick, friendly and attentive service.

Didn't go into The Castle pub.we hear it only sales drink no food, from the outside it looks like nobody is living there and very untidy

Busy as usual but staff aren’t as friendly as they used to be it seems. Food is so overpriced for what you get and not as good quality as used to be. With all that said it wasn’t entirely bad it was just average but we will be coming back. :)

This place the staff are so rude and disinterested especially the Amelia one . It may as well be run by robots . It’s overpriced and dirty and dirty cups and plates everywhere . Not impressed

We went for a darts game on super Saturday of the six nations. Everything seemed ok until the owner stole a hat literally off my head (which I bought from another Tunbridge wells establishment), kept threatening me and trying to force me to leave despite being larger and older than me. He kept stating it was his and repeatedly tried threatening me to leave. A thoroughly rude and uncomfortable experience, I tried to give this man patronage and he was unreasonable and rude and quite physically aggressive at every turn. The staff (aside from this man) were lovely, but as he was the owner I cannot endorse this establishment as he made me feel uncomfortable and unhappy, completely ruining the mood despite the fact I was a paying customer who had done nothing wrong. I would vote 0* if I could.

It’s back at its sparkling best! Bicycle Bakery offers a range of pastries, cakes and more serious savoury options along with some of the best coffee in town. I enjoyed a pain au raisin, my friend a croissant, both really delicious. The team was warm, welcoming and helpful, the atmosphere relaxed, with the bonus of seeing the baker at work in the adjacent kitchen. (It’s hard to leave without a freshly baked loaf and/or a bag of frozen bake-at-home pastries…) BB is maybe an extra 5 minutes’ walk from town and is well worth the walk. Highly recommended.

Excellent sunday lunch and highly recommend to everyone. Suggest booking early as seating is limited. Burger option is available if kids prefer something different.

Very unhygienic. Popped in for a light lunch. The owner came across as very arrogant with sharp answers to simple questions. We ordered two sandwiches. He proceeded to make them behind the counter picking all the ingredients with his hands, no gloves. Answered the phone took money from another customer and carried on constructing our sandwiches tearing the mozzarella with his hands. We will not return. Apart from his lack of hygiene he needs to acquire a more pleasant approach to his customers.

This is a superb venue with excellent food, reasonable prices and a vibrant atmosphere. The waiter was highly attentive, polite and friendly. If you wish to enjoy real, plant-based cooking, instead of making do with the one or two, poorly thought-out, semi-vegan (not vegan) options found in most pubs - come here. This restaurant caters for those following wholly plant-based and vegetarian diets. It is showing the way forward in my view, with a very good selection on offer. My wife enjoyed a well-prepared mushroom crepe, whilst I had the best buddha bowl I have eaten anywhere. Nobody is going hungry here.
