Great community coffee and cake shop with delicious smoothie. Lovely friendly staff. No lunch food but you're welcome to byo and eat in.

Food always fresh and hot and always delivered quickly

This place offers a promising illusion of decency and quality, but it is a long way off the mark. It is cashing-in on its enviable location beside a lake, but they have no clue about what constitutes decent food, decent service or quality. It is a DIVE! The food is dreadful and the owner is a thug! STAY WELL AWAY!!! We are here recently, it was hideous.. The quality is just awful, and they don’t care. If you raise an issue, the owner comes and gives you a mouthful. He’s not a decent guy, and this is a place best avoided!

Took my 3 kids there for a little cake date and was lovely. Both the staff were very polite and friendly and fair pricing. They always get our orders spot on. Presentation is exactly as the menu shows as well. Throughly recommend

I was convinced I had reviewed this fantastic venue, but here's another shout-out: it's definitely worth a visit for the outstanding service & the scrumptious breakfast, complete with a mug of tea & toast. Yum, yum! Additionally, its claim to fame is its role as a backdrop for the Channel 4 ident, featuring a moving robot with a "4" strolling past the building's facade.

Its amazing to find an independent coffee shop that not only serves amazing coffee but also delivers with a great loyalty scheme.

I'm the worst person to leave a review on a pub, being tee total. Oh! And a vegetarian!...So please forgive my perspective. I love this place and the way I am always welcomed here. There is always a warm family welcome and I can't ask more than that. If you're looking for a bistro pub...Look elsewhere. This pub is the heartbeat of this community and it's menu reflects that. The food is good with plentiful portions. Long may this pub continue to be current and a success in this area.

Food is nice big portions. Be careful it might to too chill for average pallets. Make sure you check with the staff or maybe request for but tune down on the chills

I was given a heavy large mug of water and milk with a teabag dumbed in it. The tea bag couldn't brew in Lukewarm water. It was like warm watery milk.

This is a smallish pub inside, with a large undercover smoking area outside. They used to offer food here, but seemingly not these days. The inside is very cosy, with a log-burning effect gas fire and chimney. The staff are friendly, and there is plenty of variety on bitters and ales. The beer here is kept well, and you are pretty much guaranteed a decent pint, whether it be an ale, larger, or Guinness. Prices are about average for the area. Just be careful to check the opening hours of this pub, though, because from Monday to Wednesday the pub doesn't open until 4.30pm (midday on all other days).

Steak with salad......perfectly nice while not spectular. Enjoyed. Good value and service. Would certainly go again.

This is a very large pub that has quite a number of TVs, video screens, etc. showing a variety of sports. The price of the drinks is very reasonable and the bar staff are pleasant and efficient. There are various types of seating, ranging from high stools around circular tables to lounge-style sofas around larger round tables. The only slight niggle during my visit was the temperature of this pub, which was quite cold.

I go there after work and the bar staff and the regulars that go there are very friendly. The pub is a nice place to go for a drink and if you want to play darts, there is a dart board there. If you want to play pool there is 2 good pool tables there. There is a beer garden out the back which is quite spacious. All in all it is a good pub to visit. You won't be disappointed.
