This is such a gem in Aldershot! Amazing food and very friendly service. We often find ourselves in the area and we always try to stop there for dinner. The prices are more than reasonable and the food cannot be more fresh.

I have never written a food review, but this visit urged me to write one. This is completely a non biased review which might contradict with others, it is obvious. I have worked in hospitality business nearly for the last 15 years and a food enthusiast. I had visited this restaurant years back but wasn't keen about it. In these years I have visited several Nepalese restaurants but this one definitely ticks most of my boxes. I will tell you the reason why? This restaurant is definitely not a instragramble or social media freak but touches your palate and appetite. The prices are kept reasonable with generous portions. The foods are made to order, handmade momos takes 20 minutes to be served and comes piping hot . Lassi are not made in bulk and momos are not semi cooked for busy times. Talking about their noodles and fry rice items, they are suberb. I definitely know east Asian cooking loves MSG, Yum Yum and Aginomoto but their infusions of soya sauces with sesame seeds oil gives that taste of restaurants in Nepal. The colour of noodles and the crispy fried meat that mixes, while you chew the noodles, takes you back the alleyway of Nepal. Chef beings an owner too, I think the quality is been maintained through out these years. I always say to the restaurant owners, you need to sell through your pitching regarding your quality and ingredients. Like what grade of meat you serve. I have heard people saying they use poor chicken which they call "plastic chicken" and etc.. Lastly, this is simple but very important to notice, where quality is preserved is, they use tomotoes not canned tomatoes for achar. But I think you won't be disappointed.

Became little late for the review. Yesterday we went Aldershot to visit from London and we dined in the Nepali restaurant ‘NANGLO’ . The food was really amazing. We ate Aalo paratha which was so delicious. I can say that the paratha was best in the whole UK. The thukpa was also amazing . Love the momo as well . We were served by the amazing brother and sister. Thanks for your great hospitality. One of the best Nepalese food I had in UK reasonable price.. please don’t listen to others reviews. Of course it will take a time because Nepalese food need freshly cooked… it’s not microwave food!!

Waiting is/was Ok but once we made the order the service was way too slow...the last order took about 60 mins to arrive. NO VEGAN MOMOS available so quite disappointing. Only ended up having aloo nimki which i felt like I was eating aloo ko tarkari as nimki was soggy and too salty 😵‍💫(taste was way off).

Too much over rated restaurant.. very bad customer service for Nepalese . they don’t care about customer needs.. It’s been couple of times that they have denied our order. Yes we understand they might be busy at time's but We as a customer order food to enjoy ourselves a good dinner and make our life easier but they make it opposite by simply denying it..

Not so welcoming seeing huge waste bin at the entrance… Food is basic but good portion size… very disorganised kitchen service… Food came one after another so couldn’t enjoy our meal all of us together… All our friends start and finished their meal on different time… Could have spent more and people will spent more if service is quick… Only while taking payment they were very quick…

Amazing family run restaurant. The food is delicious and freshly cooked when ordered and the staff is always very friendly. It might be a challenge to get a table at some hours as this place is a little gem, but the wait is worth it.

Had takeaway and it took over an hour, luckily we had spare time to wait around. Having said that, food was excellent when we eventually consume it. Although this is my first time there, and may be they might have had some staff shortage on the day, based on food, I’d definitely give it another try.

On Feb 23rd, we had planned a family outing to celebrate my wife's birthday and went to the restaurant. We waited 10 minutes but nobody came to serve us. We had limited parking time, so my son approached them inside the counter, but still no one to be seen. So, due to frustration, we left for other restaurants. It was a bad experience, and I would not want to go back there again. 👎

Authentic tasty Nepalese eatery - we travel a long distance to eat their momos (chicken) and alu paratha. alu tikki is also good. Didn't like the chilli chicken as it was rubbery.

Recommended by my partner’s mum. Food: Serving was definitely for a group and not per individual. We got pork chow mien, chicken curry and vegetable momo. Surprised that the server did not mentioned that their serving is massive when we said 2 pork chow mien. We could’ve saved food and order less. We ended up with a full table that can actually serve probably 10 people, I guess. Food tastes good though. Prices were really cheap and reasonable! Service: Not bad but not the most responsive as well I guess this is a family owned restaurant?? Maybe would come back next time but not definitely soon.

A hidden gem of a restaurant, run by the mist lively family. It was recommended to my family by a Nepalese friend of my daughter, who had been there earlier in the day, and we were not disappointed! Delicious momo, rices, chaats and noodles, prepared with care, and from fresh. Incredible value for money, I will be back next time I go and visit my daughter at Uni, thank you Nanglo. 🙏

The place is old and raggedy, not your typical uk restaurant but the food is the best if you enjoy authentic nepalese food Great service with a smile and very local nepalese atmosphere.

All star for the incredibly authentic Nepali food. Not for faint hearted though, authentic Nepali has to be spicy and hot. We drove 80 miles to taste the food as per a recommendation and we are surely very pleased. Going back again there at some point.

I believe this is one of the Authentic Nepalese Restaurants in the UK, without modification of authenticity. Space is a bit small and crowded but that's ok for the good test. They tried to maintain good hygiene as well wher possible.

There is no staff at outside to see what customer need on the table . We were asking for many times but there were no proper response..they were taking too long time for everything..and the food was not as good as we expected there were not a salt in thukpa.. it was totally plain just a hot water with ajhinamoto..need to improve

Good and tasty food but its run poorly. The staff are not trained and very unprofessional. Waiting time for food is too long aswell. I once waited for about an hour for momo. By the time the food arrived i wasnt hungry anymore, so i asked them to make some of it takeaway. The owner(i think) said to me i have to pay extra to make it takeaway. Never going back again.

Literally had to wait for 3 hours to collect the order. Finally got the food overall taste was not that bad but have to say aloo paratha was very greasy. Very disappointed with the wait time

Don't come here if you're hungry since you're going to be kept waiting. We ordered dahi puri and aloo paratha as starters, and chicken curry with two chapatis as the main. The dahi puri arrived and drinks arrived within 10 mins which is fine. The solitary aloo paratha came 25 mins after which is not fine. What about the mains? Well that came a whole 60 mins after we had ordered and that's abysmal timing. At about the half hour mark, we asked the waiter when our food's coming but he didn't come back to our table with any response. Yes, the portion sizes were good and the food was nice, but was it worth the wait? Not at all. Never coming back here again purely for the long wait and the lack of communication/apology from the staff.

Best Nepali cuisine in aldershot!!

FOOD is better than the competitors around. This is always my first choice and recommended to anyone who wants authentic Nepalese food. Environment is very Nepal like and cosy feeling. The owner, who also works as the server, is friendly. The only downside is that food might come slow when it gets really busy. Toilet is a little dirty but okay. Also, there is no music in the dining area. Having the background music would definitely lighten the environment even more, but it is not essential.

This restaurant was recommended to us and it was truly superb the food and atmosphere were really special. A lovely family atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Well this place can be 4.5 star for the food but I am giving 3 for overall experience. It is very frustrating that one has to wait for about 50-60 for the food be it for dine-in or take away. It is really annoying some times to get food so late and slow that you no longer feel like to eat or enjoy the food specially with starving kids 😟

Tried to do takeaway but he sais it would take 1 hour and told me if you’re ordering except momo then it’s better not to order😏…Basically he was saying don’t order food🙄

A throughly enjoyable experience and a higher standard of authentic food compared to most of the local restaurants I have tried. Been here two nights on the trot food is very well done proper authentic cooking full of the local Nepalese community which is always a good sign tried a wide variety of dishes portion sizes are massive took loads of food away with me both times too much for me personally but it’s not a complaint just an observation, staff are very Nepalese bit of a language barrier but again to be expected no problems was a pleasant n very reasonably priced given the area too (near London) you could of easily fed two people off £20. Very happy with my experience

Love the food and atmosphere - feels like I'm in a small Newari family restaurant, in the streets of Thamel. The wait for the food is worth it as everything is cooked fresh and tastes delicious. Highly recommend their jhol-momo and alu paratha! Big ups to mama and his team/family for working so hard.

Delicious authentic Nepalese food. Can be a bit off with orders sometimes but everything is yummy and worth trying anyway. Very well priced and the restaurant is relaxed and has a homey feel to it.

Best service ever and the food was delicious as expected. No idea why @Fuhgawz Grunge wrote bad things in his/her review about NANGLO but that wasn’t true when I visited the cafe. He might be one of the haters that is jealous of the progress of this restaurant😅😁.

Naglo's food always taste amazing. Alu paratha, Alu nimki and jhol mo:mo are must try dishes in the menu. Sitting area is small but they also do take aways.
