It needs changing. For what I can see there is new management but need the financial backing to build up again. New TV’s, furniture and upgrade the bar. It wouldn’t go a miss to clean the toilets. This pub used to be the place and needs bringing back up again.

It’s a simple local, middle of the range variety of beers and ciders on Draught, all reasonably priced. Good place to go for a quiet couple of pints, cold Draught products, great music playing and sports on the TVs, what more can you ask for? Some bar food would be good but hey if you just want a pint this is decent place to go.

I visit this pub on a regular basis and never been disappointed. It's got a bit of everything - most sports are shown on the TVs and they've got big screens as well. There's always someone around to challenge to a game of darts. The locals are a friendly bunch, as are the staff. Food is typical pub grub - bangers and mash, beer and burger, fish and chips, sandwiches etc - all very generous portions and very tasty! Lager starts at £2.60 a pint, with Stella at 3.25 being the most expensive. One real ale - Doombar. There's a beer 'patio' out the back which although quite basic, is a real sun trap, with plenty of tables. 2 pool tables and 2 dart boards and a good juke box. Only thing that stops me giving it 5* is the toilets, which are clean, but in dire need of updating!

met up with a friend to watch the derby horse racing and was having a good afternoon having a few drinks and a laugh when coming back after having a smoke to find my baccy pouch had been robbed from the table which must've been one of the locals as it seemed everyone had been there for a good few hours. if you decide to go there never leave anything on the table.

If paint flaking off the walls, several huge screens screening various different sports, and above average food are your thing then this place is perfect food you. Food was better than what I was expecting. Very cheap, but very tasty! Would return for lunch & pint, but not for a serious evening meal.

I have waited till I have moved house before writing this review to prevent sounding as if I am trying to curry favour when in the pub. This pub if visiting the area is great if you want a good meal and a few good cheap pints, especially if your in the area for work, in the lounge side of the bar you will have space to work using the pub WI-FI. The pub pool tables are only £1 a lot lower than most pubs in area, there are 2 dart boards and if you don't have someone to play with a quick word at the bar and normally someone will challenge you. The menu and drinks menu are extensive and very well priced. Not many places in the south east can you buy 4 pints for £10. The staff are polite and friendly, and now I have moved will miss my frequent visits to the North Camp

This is a proper pub, does extremely good value burger/curry/steak & a drink deals. Good line of regular cheaper drinks such as Carslberg at £2.50 a pint which is considerably cheaper than most places. Good friendly service from long serving, friendly staff. Pool tables, juke box, fruit machines, darts, etc.

Went here for lunch at the weekend and very much a mixed experience. The staff seem very friendly especially the blonde Yorkshire lady and the place had a friendly pleasant atmosphere. However lunch was disappointing for me, I ordered the cheese, tomato and onion sandwich for £3.75 as thought it was a pretty simple sandwich with little room for disappointment. The only bread available is white which is unusually these days, however the problem was it was also stale and did not have any butter at all on it so was very dry. I ate the filling and left the bread as I was hungry but £3.75 for that was just wrong. To be fair my husband had a fish finger roll and he enjoyed it so maybe it was just bad luck. Went to the coffee shop couple of doors down from you and had a delicious sandwich for less than £2.50 with fresh wholemeal bread.

My wife & I love this restaurant, the food is great and the staff (who know us quite well now) are really friendly. We've been here many times before and although we have tried others (just for a bit of variety)we always come back. We've yet to find anywhere better. Our most recent meal was on Saturday evening; we boooked a table but as we arrived quite early probably didn't need to. By the time we left at about 9 it had filled up considerably.I had the PERO KUKHURA. (Breast chicken marinated with corn flour, yolk of egg, gram flour & roasted spices then stir fried with ginger garlic, capsicum & green chillies to produce a unique nepalese flavour). This is quite a hot dish but boy is it good. My wife (Kay) had the - BANDEL FRY (Stir fried boneless pork cooked in nepalese style).(My other favourite here is CHICKEN BHUTUWA (Boneless chicken breast cooked with garlic, ginger, onions and capsicum. Stir fried). The food is always very well presented in white porcelain dishes and looks great; the colours always stand out against the white and I much prefer this than the stainless steel serving platters some restaurants still use. We also had rice, a garlic naan bread and some tarka daal. (As well as the customary papadums to start).A couple of Cobra's to help it all along and we were done. (They sell draft and bottled Cobra as well as some other bottled beer too, some of them Nepalese).Although this was our first vistit here for quite a few months we were immediately recognised and made to feel like old friends returning. This really is a fantastic little restaurant.

Another lovely spoons opposite a beautiful little park in the middle of town. As usual, the staff were lovely and happy to have a chat. Whilst the pub basically covers a single floor there is one room off to the side that is accessed by a small set of steps. Mainly wheelchair friendly I would say. Reasonable amount of space to move around in and everything was clean and tidy and there is a small outside seating area out the back. The Guinness was excellent.

This is a lovely little cafe tucked away in North Camp that I have been to with business friends, friends and family. It is dog freindly and just friendly in general The food is a reasonable price, made fresh to order and very nice, i have sampled most of the menu. Staff are friendly and provide table service once your food is ordered. The only criticism i have is that it is quite a small area, and when it is busy it's quite cramped and noisy. I always try to get there outside of their peak times.
