JD Wetherspoons in Rushmoor

Another lovely spoons opposite a beautiful little park in the middle of town. As usual, the staff were lovely and happy to have a chat. Whilst the pub basically covers a single floor there is one room off to the side that is accessed by a small set of steps. Mainly wheelchair friendly I would say. Reasonable amount of space to move around in and everything was clean and tidy and there is a small outside seating area out the back. The Guinness was excellent.

Delicious, hearty food. Fireplace and cosy ambience. Recommended!

Nice clean pub, ordered a chicken chilli wrap and chips. It was a busy Saturday, the service was very good and you could see them prepare our food.

I was unaware Wetherspoons had Hotels. Booked it to say I had stayed in one. Was surprised how nice the room was. Would stay in one again.

Did not stay in hotel room. Sat in Wetherspoon bar. Pleasant and polite staff. Decent priced drinks

Only been here for food a few times, it has exceeded expectations, staff are friendly and helpful and the food is really good.

Best pub in Aldershot,clean comfortable bedrooms too.

Twice we have been here for breakfast and the meals were ice cold on both occasions. I would rather go elsewhere and pay a little more

I was originally booked to stay at this hotel for one night tonight (24th February) but my bathroom window in West Yorkshire was smashed by a schoolboy yesterday who was caught because of local CCTV and I tried to cancel the booking because I am unable to now make the journey to Aldershot from West Yorkshire today because of my window getting sorted out today but the hotel was saying that I couldn't and Booking.com who I made the reservation with tried themselves to contact this hotel to ask for me to get a refund and the hotel did not reply and they have taken £88 out of my bank account. I will never be staying at this hotel ever again after this. This is theft in my opinion and shame on this hotel and the owner Tim Martin!

A great place to hang out with friends or family in the heart of aldershot. Ideally located if you fancy a drink after lifting heavy shopping bags from the Morrisons nearby :) I somehow like the layout of the one in Farnborough more but nevertheless this one is great as well. Just what you expect from a Wetherspoon

Food is good at this price point and was served quickly the portions are a good size. The guest real ales are all very good and had been clearly well looked after. From ordering to drinks on the table on a Bank Holiday afternoon was 7 minutes the pub was busy, so great service.

My wife and me came here on August 21 for dinner. Very speedy and polite service and the pub wasn’t too crowded. My wife had the Chicken Katsu curry and drink and enjoyed it. I chose the sticky korean fried chicken, which was disappointing at the end when i discovered there was a mixture if fried breadcrumbs covered chicken and chicken nuggets. Nuggets were clearly added to reduce the cost.

As wetherspoons go its cheap clean tidy and decent food .. Aldershot is Aldershot though so be warned 🙄

The members of staff are excellent and the food portions are very generous. I have never had a bad experience at this establishment. I once ordered a pizza which was not that great, but it was fine if one takes into account the price. The members of staff are polite and know the menu. When I attended several days ago, I heard some people complaining about children who were being too noisy and running around the restaurant. Perhaps to mitigate the chances of patrons from being disturbed, Wetherspoons could designate (where and when appropriate) a certain section to be children free, such as the small space almost next to the bar which has some books in it and overlooks The Princes Hall. That way, adult diners would not feel the need to complain about the noise - just a suggestion as a result of people complaining about the noise children made.

It's a wetherspoons. Don't go to them if you don't like them, but can't be beaten for prompt service, ok food and extraordinary value.

Better breakfast than other wetherspoons. Especially Farnborough there's is consistently beyond poor so much so id rather walk to Aldershot. Toast is cooked both sides, mushroom and beans are actually hot not tepid, hash browns are nicely browned not greasy unlike Farnborough.

Right in the town centre, supermarket and shops less than a 5 mins walk.

Only stayed for a couple of hours for a drink. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

The hotel and bar were spotless, the staff were all very friendly and polite and the food was really good as well, the only minor downside was having to pay £10 per day/night for parking as there is no hotel parking, all in all a pleasant stay

Lovely hotel with bright spacious rooms, right in the middle of town. Breakfast on par with other Spoons. Rooms quiet even when pub busy.

It's a nice, cheap Pub. The food quality is not the best, but the price makes it good :)

Always good value, we had a meal and a couple of beers. We parked in Morrisons got some shopping and spur of the moment walked across to queen hotel for a meal.

Would be great if the kitchen staff understood “well done bacon” no matter how clear you make it that you want the bacon well done you will 100% have to send it back to be actually cooked, bored of it now it’s every single time

Our experience at the queen hotel was very gd staff very polite,helpful and friendly. Considering we were over a pub we did not have any noise issues very quiet at night .

Use the Wellington centre car park. As car parking can be booked for many days at a time. It's a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Huge choice of beers in bar. Rooms are accessed by stairs. Very comfortable rooms with very good sized bathrooms and aircon in main room. Would visit again. Well priced.

We spent 1 night here, had dinner and breakfast and have to say it was a 5* experience. The room was immaculate and fully stocked with soft fresh towels, toiletries, plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and bottles of water. The food was delicious and all the staff were lovely and professional. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. - Thanks Queen Hotel

Lively place, Nice atmosphere for a pre-Princes Hall show. Drinks are good value and the staff really friendly, so all in all, worth a visit early evening. We didn't try the food but lots of people were eating and it looked good.

I note that consistently short measures are being served here What appeared to be an incoherent drunk was being served alcohol yesterday lunchtime (21.10.23) Needs more staff as service slow. Very little meat in chicken curry but good flavour. Brekky lukewarm. Have seen staff wearing cameras like cops. On a recent visit security kicked out my pal for no reason (saying they were drunk)

Use this pub quite often to visit and catch up with family when I'm in the area. Today I had fabulous kind service. Our breakfast was bought to us and my 6 year old grandson hadn't asked me for scrambled egg with his food. So a friend egg arrived .I shrugged it off with him , so not to make a fuss as he's autistic. He tucked into his pancakes instead . A few mins later the young waiter popped a bowl of scrambled egg in front of him. He had over heard our conversation and grabbed him very kindly some scrambled egg. My grandson was thrilled. What great customer service. Really thoughtful of him .These are the little touches that make the place nice. The girl waiting asked us if we were ok a while later too,with big happy smiles ! Great friendly service today !

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks at incredible prices. Great staff and an iconic building makes for a really interesting venue.

Aircon maked the place too cold. Hsd to adk for more chips as the portion we got was too small. Waiter behaved like he doesnt understand service. Came back with another 6 chips. I despair. Wont be back.

Visited for a pre theatre dinner on a Friday. Good quality food, service was efficient and friendly. Very impressed!

Exactly what I asked for and needed. Ordered the 8oz Steak, Chips and Hot Wings. Of course knowing Wetherspoons I expected the big standard meal, but this exceeded. A quality piece of steak cooked medium perfect. A good portion of chips, and succulent wings. For the price I'm a very, very happy man.

Had lovely meal in there with friends before rock Réunion. Definitely eat there again well worth money.

It's a Spoons, so you know there's going to be folk in there who've been propping up the bar since breakfast, etc etc, but the food is good and served by staff who take pride in what they're doing no matter how minimum the wage or what a **** their ultimate boss is. Only let down by occasional menu issues and pricing glitches, but never ultimately been disappointed here compared with some others in the chain that one might frankly have expected better from given their relative locations.

Tidy clean straightforward place nice .

Hi me and husbands breakfast we unfortunately couldn't eat it , the mushroom was half cooked and cold , tomato was hard and cold all there was on it was just grilled marks, the hash brown was hard and under cooked and cold , also we asked for fried eggs and got over cooked scrambled eggs , they wouldn't take it back unfortunately so we ended up leaving it and having to go somewhere else for breakfast.

If the rest of Aldershot followed the example of this place as to what you do if you put your mind to it, then who knows 👍

You just can not beat a Wetherspoons for great value and one that is local is even better. Food is good, great drink and great frendly staff.

Good service, but there was a dude who was trying to sleep with everyone. Got kicked out eventually.

We had a really good time steak was great and Quinn behind the bar really knows her job she made us feel very welcome.

Nice looking wetherspoons. Only popped in for food, so dont know what the hotel bit is like. The 2 staff we interacted with were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, like 99% of wetherspoons, the breakfast came out warm and not hot but still good price for a big meal.

Cleanest weatherspoons I've been in for a long time

What a disappointment. Had the porridge, it used to be Moma's porridge which was really nice. Now it is a not. What we were had was not cooked, it appeared to just have had hot water on it.

Perfectly serviceable place to have a drink & call a taxi from after a visit to Princes Hall, not too busy on a Friday night and pleasant staff.

Typical Wetherspoons, decent food decent drinks. Food was brought out but items were forgotten, had to chase them. Dishes were not cleared for a while after finishing. Decent night all in all

Very bad service from Beth (and her colleague was not able to rectify the issue). Short measure of beer served "because it's Belgian beer it's served with a head". Will be informing Rushmoor Trading Standards

Firstly I did not stay in the hotel but used the weatherspoons. As expected the sports was on and the bar was busy but not packed. I used the app to order all my drinks and I did not have to wait long. 🙃 Most of the staff were nice and friendly but once we moved inside our table had plates on it from the previous people all night. And they never got removed. We did ask one waiter but he said he was not bothered. One of the benches outside was about to collapse. If you have a designated driver you can park at Morrison's carpark after 1700 with no maximum stay. So apart from the few faults above on this visit it was a good atmosphere and a good night. 👍

Having witnessed the actions of the manager at this weatherspoons I shall not be returning and I was a fairly regular customer but no more. An extremist Christian was allowed to preach within the restaurant with a huge wooden cross, actually quite frightening as could easily be a strong weapon and a group of elderly people who were trying to enjoy a quiet meal asked this guy to quieten down but he refused. He shouted more and in fact I’ve seen him preach in this pub before with no reprimand, however this time the manager was more concerned with the people who asked for the preacher to be quiet and that they wished to have a meal in peace. One elderly gentleman got so wound up he looked very ill and yet the manager deemed it more important to keep the preacher within the pub, allowed to preach as he stated people can preach on the street so they can in my pub! Well not my pub as I don’t go to a pub to hear a madman shouting about religion especially a new Christian who thinks he knows it all and especially a man who is so threatening and aggressive. I and my family and friends go to a pub for peace, connection, chat, laughter and to enjoy a meal and a drink. If this manager wishes to have preachers in his pub to distress customers, frighten customers and deem this to be absolutely fine and reprimand people who simply want to enjoy a meal then no thank you we will go elsewhere. Avoid this pub if you want to enjoy a meal, enjoy a chat, enjoy some quality time. There are some lovely pubs in Aldershot and ones with managers that care about their customers and not a madman who wants to ruin peoples evenings out.

Very quick service and good food. Went there for breakfast, walked in at 9.30am and left at 9.50am having had my breakfast inbetween!

Always come here for breakfast. Bacon is the best weatherspoons bacon in the area. Andrew at the bar is always very helpful in a Saturday morning. Always stocked up on oat milk as well which is amazing!

Nice large. Bedrooms with very good trays. Usual Wetherspoons food downstairs. Downside is No Lift !

Had a sirloin steak. Not great. Ordered ice cream with chocolate sauce. Arrives with no sauce. When I ask about it ,they say ' sorry we don't have any'

The food was fine but I wish the staff would wipe the bar now and then. It was drenched with drink spillage. The floor at the bar was incredibly sticky too, not pleasant. My visit was 5 September evening.

Ate here as a family of 8 adultsand2 children under 2.. Service was okay. The food was okay. Whilst saying goodbye to a couple of the party, our unfinished drinks were cleared away!

Pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much in Aldershot, however I was greeted my a fairly smart looking Wetherspoons on the edge of town. Certainly one of the better branches around this area. Orfered BBQ burger and a Strongbow Dark Fruits. No issues with either. Friendly staff service too.

Very good prices for the quality of food and drink. Fab service and very quick. Placed our order on the app, drinks arrived within 5 minutes and food within 20 during peak times on a Saturday which was a pleasant surprise. Facilities were very clean and staff very helpful. Brilliant Spoons!

I stayed over in aldershot on a business trip with a couple of work colleagues. We decided on jd weatherspoons for a couple of drinks and I'm glad we did. It's very close to shops and fast food outlets, the pub itself has a lovely atmosphere and I have to give compliments to the team that work here nothing is a bother for them especially the young lady behind the bar. Shaunie if I remember rightly she made us feel very welcome from the off. I would definitely recommend based off this and I'll be sure to pay another visit when back down that way A*

What an eye opener, one of the best teams I have ever seen in weatherspoons, tom is a star, and a really hard worker, as are all his staff, he is a blessing *****
