The Tea Shop Around the Corner in Rushmoor

This wonderful tea shop keeps calling me back. The homemade cakes, served by friendly and polite staff, are indescribably delicious. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee accompanied by a large slab of cake.

Great place to stop a have a coffee or tea. Friendly service. Comfortable chairs. Pity about the road works. But that didn't stop the flow of customers. Quirky gifts to buy as well.

In centre of North Camp, lovely well frequented tea shop with reasonably priced food and great cakes.

We had decided to visit North Camp for brunch after reading some online reviews of another cafe. Unfortunately, that cafe was closed, thus we found this one by accident. Not sure what to expect as not your typical greasy fry sort of place. We ordered some coffee and the egg and avocado and egg and smoked salmon off the breakfast menu. Both meals were very tasty and would recommend. The cafe was also popular and busy the whole time we were in there, which is always a good sign of its popularity.

What a wonderful tea shop. Excellent cappuccino and a lovely slice of cake at reasonable prices served by friendly staff.

I took my wife and mother in law for afternoon tea and was really pleased with my choice ( mainly down to reading good reviews) the sandwiches had there crusts cut off and were properly filled, choice of plain scones or fruit with cream and jam they were big freshly baked and still warm then the cakes we tried to eat them as they were so nice but honestly couldn't eat them all so they boxed them up for us. A really pleasant afternoon which is very reasonable priced and good quality, I highly recommend this tea shop.

Went here today for cake and coffee as it was my daughters Birthday. The cakes are so good we forgot to take phones before we ate them. Very helpful staff with our complicated order. Some cake needed to be boxed for grandson who was at school. No quibbles when asked for tap water add to drinks and cake order for my medication. Loved that you could see the next cake on beeing decorated as all cakes are hand made.

Excellent service staff were happy to make coffee just right and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. We enjoyed chatting to staff and other customers all whom seemed happy with the food, coffee and service. We will certainly visit often.

Lovely cake, toasted tea cake was abit dry and had to ask for more butter but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Cute little cafe, quirky different chairs and lovely coffee.

Friendly service, fab choice of home made cakes, really delicious, good price and enormous pot of tea for two. will be returning.

I was taken by a friend and I'm so glad, what a find! Lovely sized pots of tea served in gorgeous china cup and saucers. I had the halloumi salad, amazing. Beetroot, pecans, crispy halloumi, tomatoes all served on a bed of dressed salad, absolutely scrumptious. Luckily I was sitting facing the counter so could see all the cakes so I squeezed a sumptuous slice of coffee and walnut in. I can't wait to go back. Lovely friendly staff and a beautiful place to sit. Every high street needs a place as great as this.

This is my favourite place to go for a treat! The cakes are amazing and the breakfasts are superb. Personal favourites are the avocado and poached egg bagel and the scrambled eggs on toast.

This the 2nd time I have taken my grandchildren to the tea room, the first time was disappointing but I thought I would give it another go, never again. Unhelpful and came across as annoyed with them playing with the table cloth. THe cake was dry and placed on a small plate so it was difficult to eat and went everywhere. Over charged for what we ordered and the staff we unwelcoming.

Warm and friendly place with generous, good food and great coffee! Thoroughly recommend it! Portion size is challenging!

Lovely cafe, very family friendly. We had paninis which were huge (Brie and bacon) and the Welsh rarebit that was delicious. Cakes looked brilliant but too full to try. Good pot of tea. Clean toilets, plenty of cheap parking. Would highly recommend.

The Tea Shop around the Corner was a fantastic discovery & I always stop in here for lunch when in the area! They have a great range of hot food like jacket potatoes, paninis and brunch dishes available as well as cakes, snacks & drinks....

The tea shop is so good. Nice staff and t shop ran expertly efficiently and friendly by its owner. Portion s great and home made cakes amazing. All food is freshly made so always delicious.

We are blessed with great restaurants, cafes & sandwich shops in Farnborough but this is something a little different. We visited for a lunchtime treat and it was lovely.

Been here many many times. It’s ok. The tea shop is decorated lovely but always quite noisy. The toasties and hot food is always really good. I find the coffee not so great, always a bit bitter. They have gluten free bread frozen for toasties...

The place gets completely steamed up its like a sauna. It also takes 10min to make a coffee. OK for an occasional visit but nothing special.

I came here a few months ago and had to wait 35 minutes for a bacon roll. As I was passing today I though I’d give them another chance and let bygones be bygones. After all, we all have off days. Big mistake! I again...

They do a lovely jacket spud with a tiny salad on the side and it's filling. The place is clean and tidy but busy. The cakes all look gorgeous and homemade it looks. Staff are always pleasant, free infused water available at the counter, kids...

Thia is a great place to eat. Lovely menu - I had halloumi salad which came with beetroot and pecan nuts, They also have a good variety of cakes for afternoon tea. would definitely go again.

I popped in today for a latte and bacon roll. The place wasn't paticularly busy and I found a spot on the sofa in the corner.

I have driven past here many times and never seen this little place until a friend recommended we meet there. The shop is lovely and warm and had lots of little treats and small gifts as well as plenty of seating. They sell lots of lovely cakes and hot drinks all served in cute teacups and proper tea sets. Will definitely return as is now My favourite spot for a coffee and a catch up! The breakfast is amazing too I reccomend the scrambled eggs on toast and the red berry tea!

If you like old fashioned tea shops this is just the thing. Wonderful leaf tea in individual or shared pots, a selection of cooked-to-order light meals, and some lovely home made cakes. Perfect.

Was pleasantly surprised to cone across this little restaurant/café in the North Camp end of Farnborough while having a look around, revisiting old haunts.

What a great find. Just had the best bacon roll and great cappuccino. The freshest bread roll, most delicious bacon & lots of it. Simple but great. Such a lovely tea room that’s doggie friendly (always the sign of nice people owning it). The cakes are homemade and amazing too. The staff are all so efficient and friendly. We’ll be back. Usually drop in for a slice of cake and coffee. Bit pricey in my opinion. Nice surroundings and friendly service

Came down from Leeds to see our new grandson and met up for a family lunch. We don’t think that our daughter in law could have chosen a better place. The food, Brie and cranberry on wholesome whole meal for me, was just right. 4 day old grandson had his own chair and,had we taken our dog, she would have been just as welcome. Good stuff.

First time i had been here. Noone even smiled or said hello when we entered. Ordered food and drinks, drinks came 30 minutes later with the food. Was told good things about this place but wont return.

Been there twice now. Food is very delicious. Every time we left with full bellies and happy. Atmosphere is good. But what I would like to highlight the most is service. I know that catering for vegans is not easy and ladies are so nice they always make sure that everything that is made is for me 100% vegan and at the same time really delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough.

This place appears to be doing well, especially at lunch time, because it is the only place in the area that caters for a more discerning customer. Rather than trying to compete on price with the other cheap cafes, they have made an effort to do things differently, and offer a better experience for those willing to pay. Have visited on several occasions because it really is the only decent place I have found in this neighborhood!

Used this cafe for the first time and enjoyed my visit. I ordered a cheese and onion panini which was very good and came with a salad. My wife had a sandwich on granary again with salad. The drinks came quickly but were almost drunk prior to the food arriving. I would have asked for my drink with food had I known Meat comes from the butcher sixty yards down the road. Will return.

Popped in for breakfast; not your average English breakfast cafe, but served a good selection of things like egg on toast. Food was cooked fresh to order and was reasonably priced. Bacon seemed to come from a local butcher; nice to see local business collaborating and supporting each other.

My daughter and I went to this tea shop this morning for a late breakfast. What a great little place! Friendly, cosy, great food and drinks and reasonable price. I really enjoyed this little tea shop and will definitely use it again and recommend it to friends.

Visited with my wife and daughter.as I promised we would try the breakfast menu. A little pricey and service was slow but staff are pleasant and the ambience is relaxed and homely

A very comfortable setting with a great selection of teas, coffee and tempting snacks. I have visited many times, and have been greeted warmly. A great place to meet or even share afternoon tea!

It is a nice cafe to go to for a nice snack and brunch. The people who work there are very lovely and friendly. They do very nice cake including the chocolate cake because it was very delicious, it was to die for. It can be very busy making the cafe claustrophobic with the seating but I was ok with that.

My eldest son and daughter in law have just visited from California, USA. Their normal routine is to eat out for breakfast most day's. They were both completely bowled over with how good the Tea Shop Around the Corner was. They had a lovely breakfast every morning of their stay with us to welcome the new baby to the family. Cant fault this cafe. Loved getting my tea in a china tea cup. They went out there way to do fried egg sandwich for me too.

Visited today with my daughter for late lunch. We have been several times and always enjoyed our experience. Today we ordered our lunch but it took a long time to arrive although they had sufficient staff hanging around. I was thinking I would have to ask for a refund and leave as my ticket on the car was going to run out. Luckily it arrived and we had to eat quickly and leave. The food was nice though.

Good venue for lovely cakes and a reviving drink, anytime of the day. The cakes are home made, a decent size and frankly, to die for! The rest of the menu includes popular tasty morsels such as, cheese on toast, salads, jacket potatoes and fillings, soup. The service seems to suffer when it gets crowded and there are long waits. They should either, get bigger premises to allow more efficient preparation and cooking of food or employ more staff, space permitting.

We were here for a group afternoon tea and were looked after extremely well. Sandwiches were fresh, tasty and well filled with a good variety whilst cakes were equally good. My Coeliac wife had an equally good selection of sandwiches and cakes. All in all it was a very pleasant afternoon.

Always pop in while I’m in area, friendly staff and it’s dog friendly which is a bonus. Very good coffee , food is good , it’s very clean.

In my business as an architect, I’m forever needing to hold short informal meetings with clients, trades folk, etc and this establishment is perfect as an alternative to your so standard coffee chain cafe or a greasy spoon type place.

My friends and I regularly meet up here for coffee and home baked cake.It is very clean and has a lovely ambience.

Have had cream teas here, lunch, cake etc. Always good, homemade cakes, excellent coffee. Have also used it for private events, too.

Did a catch up meet with an old friend of mine & had a thoroughly nice time, it's quirky, welcoming, random chairs & crockery & feels like someones kitchen. The food and drinks were freshly made and tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a lovely girly tea and cake...then stayed long enough to turn it into lunch! Had some contact via Facebook before we went and staff were prompt in reply and helpful. Lovely teashop with nice decor and interesting things to look at and on sale all around. I like teashops where they use real china teacups - especially if they are mismatched! Good selection of food and drink. The only thing was because there are lots of windows, if it is busy it can get quite noisy, no noise-softening from carpets or walls, but not really their fault!

This shop appeared a few years ago and is a breath of fresh air in slightly tired North Camp. This shop has lovely decor and is a relaxing place to plonk yourself down with some friends and re-charge with a pot of tea and a huge slice of cake. There are regular tables with chairs but also some sofa areas and a few nice nick-naks for sale as well such as hand-made cards. Recommended! We have even bought some friends afternoon tea here as a simple birthday present.

Great food, the homemade cakes were great temptations. Loved the generous helpings of both food and drinks ...... totally relaxing atmosphere

My friend and I come here regularly for lunch but you'd never know it from the staff! The food is always good, everything is fresh and presented very well but you never get an acknowledgement from the Tea shop team. It would make such a difference to the overall experience if one of them said hello when you walked in, acknowledged they've seen you waiting or said thank you when you left - not a chance it seems. Come on team - it's such an easy thing to do and would make a big difference to your customers.

Hot meals, chocolate cake, scone and jam, soya babyccinos and lovely kind service for me, my husband and young children on the way home from Dorset. Pretty surroundings and a spacious table. Clean loo and a generous well-equipped baby changing space too. Thanks for having us!

Came in and studied the menu for 5 minutes to decide what i wanted them stood around at the till for another 5 minutes.4 staff members although clearly busy completely ignoring me. The staff need serious retraining. A simple acknowledgment is all that it would take. With competition on their doorstep and their higher prices I would thought it should be better. Have been here before but won't be back again.

We visited The Tea Shop Around The Corner this afternoon with three generations of the family. All of us enjoyed ourselves immensely. The cafe itself is decorated uniquely with some lovely touches. The owner & staff were very friendly & attentive, the coffee was great & the home-made cakes were fantastic. It was such a refreshing change from the 'big-name' chains found in most towns these days.

Thought we would just stop and have a refreshment and see this place and it looked lovely. All we asked for was a Black Coffee and a Diet Coke. We were asked to sit down and it would be brought to us. 30 mins later we had to ask where it was ( taking in mind 4 or 5 orders were taken after ours with food also and they were eating theirs ). Lady returned to say they are just doing it now.......Black Coffee had to be left after 15 mins waiting for it to cool was still to hot (as car parking was run out and did not want a ticket ).

The staff are lovely, the food is good. The decor is bright and clean. North Camp needed a place like this. It's a great little place to go for a coffee and the cakes are scrummy too. They are dog friendly too!

I visited for some brunch and had the fish finger sandwich which arrived fairly soon. I had been recommended this sandwich so didn't check the menu and was charged over £7 for the sandwich and a black coffee. That was a bit more than I expected and the sandwich only had three fish fingers. The décor was nice and several people came and went while I was there. I prefer the Rushmoor Café over the road which offers more choice and a bit cheaper but doesn't have the nice décor and furniture but maybe that's just me.

Came here Saturday late morning for a light breakfast. There was a pleasant feel to the place when we walked in and it was very clean. Our order was taken and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. My order hadn't been taken down but this was quickly corrected and was brought to me quickly and free of charge too! Very nice coffee and lovely cakes (very large portions).Overall really nice and we will be back.

My daughter took my 80 year old mother for brunch last week which was her first trip out since breaking her arm. The waitress was so rude it reduced my mum to tears. Her plate of food was almost thrown on the table in front of her. Both my mother and daughter would not return to this cafe.

Went for breakfast with my wife. Seemed a little expensive 2x scrambled eggs, bacon on toast, with 2 teas. Just over £15. The crockery is all china & all different. Friendly staff. The cakes looked very nice & apparently a lot are home made, so it may well be a better place for afternoon tea rather than breakfast. The menu for breakfast was fairly limited, but they were willing to provide something not on the menu when requested, without any fuss.

As a customer we felt that the staff were more interested in talking to themselves rather than serving us. Coffees came staggered, and actually were warm and tasteless.Second time we have been here, gave benefit first time, but actually need to up their game to attract passing trade.

This relative newcomer to North Camp has a very inviting exterior, a fashionable interior decor and a good menu. However, when we visited there were many tables waiting to be cleared, which gives a terrible first impression of a cafe to a newcomer. I had to clear a table on to an adjacent one, to enable us to sit at a clear one. The cafe was busy and is perhaps under-staffed when most of the tables are occupied.I had a most enjoyable fruit cake which was an absolutely enormous portion, to go with my pot of Earl Grey tea, so the fare on offer partly made up for the first impression. There is now more competition in North Camp than there used to be for eateries, and this one is a welcome addition to the local scene, but its shabby-chic appearance needs to be matched with impeccable service to match.

Friendly service, nice food, superb atmosphere. Really rate the bacon map. Coffee is a delight. Plenty of free papers to read.

I come here often for the fish finger sandwiches. Awesome cafe with great staff, food and drinks. Well worth a visit if you're anywhere near Farnborough. A great independent cafe.

Popped in here, if you are driving its 40p to park on the road for the hour. Had a couple of sandwiches and a gorgeous fresh scone with clotted cream and jam. The Belgian buns are humungous and so one had to come home with me...Will definitely return. Pity they dont do a full afternoon tea

This is a very special place. They welcomed us with open arms just 20 minutes before closing and served us with a broad smile, wonderful cakes, excellent tea and a baby cappuccino for a 3 year old - who is quite a connoisseur! We ranged from a baby of 7 months to a great granddad of 94 with two generations in between and we were all very happy with everything. Thank you!!

We had a lovely lunch and a good pot of Tea. The sandwiches were made fresh to order, very nice, with a little salad on the plate. Cakes are very good.

Great spot with fab food and great staff just a pure gem! . . . Found this little tea shop on my stay in Farnborough and just fell in love with it weather it's a nice glass of vino your looking for or breakfast/lunch it's well worth a visit !! The girls there are very friendly and competent in all aspects . . Very cosy and with a vintage feel will definitely be back !!!:)xx

Went for lunch here for the first time in August. The menu was quite varied, especially given the choice available at other Cafes in North Camp. It was nice to have freshly made sandwiches/ salads. The portions were pretty large, and had 'extras/twists' (nuts & raisins on a Ploughmans etc.) All very nicely presented, too. The service, however was very slow. I appreciate dishes were being made on ordering, but for salads and sandwiches, over a half hour is a bit too long.

It's nice to go somewhere where you feel relaxed, have a nice cup of tea and lunch and not feel as if you are being pushed out so that they can make way for the next customer. Really lovely feel to it and staff very helpful without being too friendly. Got it right.

A warm welcome, unpretentious, very nice surroundings. A nice choice of teas and coffees and other beverages - lovely cakes or excellent light bites. Reasonable prices and lovely service. A welcome addition to the locality. I just wished that they would stay open a little later even if it it was just once a week. I think this would be very popular.

Like the decor, light and vibrant, cosy seating. Enticed me in. Shame it took so long to make a latte and get a coke and cake. They sell nice trinkets and wanted to buy one but gave up waiting.The cake didn't taste as nice as it looked.Might suit some, maybe it was a bad day?

North Camp is a strange town with an eclectic selection of shops you would not find elsewhere. One of the better examples of this is the Tea Shop Around the Corner. Filling a corner plot just off the main roads, it appears at first glance to be your standard tea shop although slightly busier than you'd expect. Truth is this place is always busy and that is because to food is exceptional and the staff is very friendly. They also have a small shop on site selling local crafts. It is quite often the case that no tables are available, especially if the weather restricts the outdoor seating. Very highly recommended.

The menu is a bit limited, but what they do is good. Service is good, but not overly friendly, apart from staff I know. Great coffee and tea (and cream tea). A hand little place to know.
