Couldn’t fault it. This was my first Michelin experience. Every single dish was beautiful. The price is actually cheap for how amazing the food is. Well worth it.

Lovely home made food. Staff are really pleasant and it is dog friendly too.

Lovely bacon sandwich. The Ciabatta was fluffy and crispy. Really good. The side of halloumi was lovely too

Very kind people, with my three boys and two dogs. A little stressful with traffic etc but the staff were lovely and helpful.

A total fiasco in orfering gf cake. I was told it would be a short delay - then 10 mins later it would be a little longer cos they were unable to get the freezer to get the cake and then 10 mins later they brought out our mocha and my wifes cake and said they were unable to get my gf desert . We consumed our drinks and when we went to pay they suddenly produced a cake - saying they had now defrosted it and would i take it for later and pay for it - cheek and awful service. The thing is there are other options in the village and they got our custom but did not deliver

We visited Lake Road Kitchen as a treat whilst on our mini honeymoon to the Lake District. As a recommendation from a family member to visit we were not disappointed. The experience from dining here is outstanding. The service, sommelier knowledge from Darren and food is incredible. We chose the 5 course menu with wine pairing and we added a few extras. The fried chicken course was delightful as was the alpine cheese custard. We thoroughly enjoyed this Michelin star experience and would most definitely recommend if you are in the area.

It’s been a few years (pre pandemic) since we ate here and happy to say it was just as good as we remembered. Food was great. I had the pork loin with black pudding. The black pudding was the best I’ve had and is made by the chef on site. Staff attentive and friendly It was really busy Saturday night and we arrived shortly after 5pm and had no trouble getting a table. Dodds doesn’t take bookings at it quickly filled up so you may have to wait at the bar for a table We wouldn’t hesitate to come back

A wide variety of sweet treats on offer, all great quality. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and bright. I highly recommend hot chocolate and Bailey's Cheesecake.

There is nothing I can fault about our meal at Lewis's. They fitted seven of us in with 24 hours notice and were very welcoming when we arrived. The food was outstanding and well priced for the quality - we enjoyed everything enormously. Food was hot and served quickly but we were not rushed and the atmosphere was very relaxed. It was a perfect evening and we will definitely return when we are next in the Lakes - I recommend Lewis's to everyone.

This is a lovely, albeit small, cafe. The views are amazing, if you're lucky enough to get an outdoor table. The blueberry scones are amazing. I always visit if I'm in the area.

Stunning setting, fantastic friendly staff and wonderful food. The owners clearly know what’s what. Sat outside with our dog in-tow - sunny day. You must have lunch here.

Our group had a few coffees and lunch items. Good service and a pleasant place to sit. Range of items on offer with breakfast served until about 1130.

We have been to the picnic box on many occasions now, every time we visit Ambleside! We normally buy jacket potatoes and the home-made fillings are amazing both in quantity and quality. The overall price of the food makes this an extremely good value lunch. We will continue to use this as as our go to lunch when in Ambleside

We’ve came to Force cafe last year for lunch which was fantastic so I was excited to come back this time for breakfast. The food again is superb and the staff as friendly as ever. It’s a highlight of our trip to come and have something to eat at this wonderful cafe.
