Perfect spot to sit by the lake with a reasonably decent coffee and enjoy the lake. Or it would be if it wasnt for the ridiculously loud rubbish radio music this venue plays that makes it impossible to sit inside and relax, and which totally spoils the peace and ambiance of sitting outside. Why cafes think people want loud music is beyond me. Seems to be a "thing", the Lakes is turning into Blackpool. No one was sitting inside and a couple of people outside were complaining how loud it was. Shame as this coffee shop used to be a peaceful place, have been lots of times, but wont be back until they shut the noiseof or at the very least turn it right down. Pity the poor staff who have to work in that migraine inducing environment.

Fabulous Scones, Cakes and a brilliant atmosphere on the edge of the prom & lake. Only dropped on because the other cafe at The Pier was noted as closed - Still for COVID Lockdown ! ? A far better choice than the outdated and miserable cafe on the Pier. We will be back as soon as possible 😁

Visited today. We have been many times and love sitting enjoying the view. Our favourite foods are the apple slice, cherry slice and the chocolate brownie. Today there wasn’t any slices just apple pie. The brownie was caramel brownie. Although they were nice we always look forward to our favourites on each visit. Will the slices and brownie be available again or have they gone forever 😕

Stopped off here for an ice cream on the way back to the boat. The cafe is in a great location with outdoor seating over looking the lake. The menu was good and reasonably priced. If you like blueberries, scones and cream then this is well worth a visit and very good value for money. The blueberry scones were excellent and the blueberry jam just made it even more decadent. It was a shame about the cream which doesn’t match the quality of West Country clotted cream but they were still delicious. The tea and coffee were good quality albeit slightly ruined by the single use ‘compostable’ cups that so many places now insist on using. If, like us, you are lucky enough to find a table outside on a lovely sunny day then this is a great place to sit and wait for the next cruise boat to arrive.

Service was super quick and extremely friendly, and we also enjoyed the fellow guests and their cute dogs! Premium ingredients and generous portions made for the best cafe brunch consisting of blueberry muffins heaped with butter, cream and jam plus bacon & cheese rolls. We’ve been coming here for 15 years now & never disappointed.Dipped ice cream is daughters favourite, nearly everyday she’ll have one. Husband has discovered the joy of the ice cream after all these years. The blueberry scones are amazing as always, as is the cherry pie. Can’t understand why some people moan about the card dishes & cups? yes, the environment but If it’s busy & no seating, then at least we can still get a welcome coffee & with present situation it’s hygienic too. I’d rather have a paper cup than a china one now. Previously if cafe was full, you just couldn’t get a coffee. The staff do have to clean tables everytime it’s vacated. Just give them a break. There doing their upmost to keep everyone happy & safe. Sad some customers leave rubbish on tables & not put in bins provided but some people are incredibly lazy. Carry on with the great service you provide to all your visitors. We’ll be back next year.

Waitress acknowledged my arrival, as she was cleaning the next table. I arrived at 1404 (today, 27 April) and left after waiting for 23 minutes for service. No-one came to serve me (and I knew there was no at-counter service for me, due to COVID rules). I am just appalled at the establishment’s attitude. People arrived after me and got served, but despite a couple of the waitresses individually acknowledging me as a new customer I was ignored - and I did try to get their attention a number of times.

We arrived at the cafe to find a tatty piece of paper saying they were closed for lunch, crazy to think they have just been closed for months and they are turning away so many people over lunch time?!! Anyway the hatch was open and a young girl with the biggest false eyelashes took our order, a cheese & pickle sandwich, 2 scones & 2 teas. We were told they had run out of cream which was fine. The same girl came to the door to bring us a cheese and ham sandwich which was wrong but that again was fine, we have all had a stressful time with COVID! only for my mum to notice she didn’t have any trousers on!! She was just wearing a football T-shirt that just skimmed her pants!! The door was locked behind her and off she went, I went back up to ask for milk. We stopped her by chance a couple of months ago and returned again today because we loved it so much. Really friendly and helpful staff serving lovely food. It's everything we want from a cafe. We'll be back again.

Called here for a takeaway lunch, used them several times before. Service was disappointing to say the least. Not a please or thankyou from the ladies working in the shop - even when I pointed out they'd only charged me for 1 flat white! Previous reviews also highlight the fact that the staff are miserable, they respond but do nothing to address the concerns raised. Also, I would've thought that as u was the only customer in the shop on a very wet day would have been positive for them - obviously not! Not sure I'll return here.

Visited here with my Dad today. Asked for a tea cake and then a scone both not on the menu anymore. I had a bagel with salmon and cream cheese paid over £8 and that was it no sides, no even a bit of salad - didn’t taste great. Dad ordered pancakes in the end 2 tiny pancakes on a dish - still hungry when we left. Not great service either. Disappointed!

Terrible customer service! The young girl at the till clearly did not want to be there. She was huffing and puffing at customers! Yes, it was very busy as yesterday, 15th October was a beautiful autumn day but I would think they would be glad of end of season trade! I could not sit down because they were so busy so opted to ask for take away coffee and cake, only to be told by her 'I'm not doing take away'. Really? The local co-op is closed for a refurbishment and they really could capitalise on that if they employed more capable, less miserable staff! Shocking!! Won't return!

Stopped to have a tea, latte and a slice of carrot cake. Great service and a huge slice of cake that we shared. Great value for money.

Called in for a coffee and snack after our frequent walk along the bay and round back into Arnside. When this first opened I was a little wary as we are used to small intimate tea/coffee shops in Arnside. However this was our second visit and as we entered we were greeted by obviously the front of house guy “David”. Wow does this guy know how to do it Welcoming ,friendly, Northern (always a bonus). Had a lovely coffee and Hubby had a great crisp bacon bun. The vibe in this cafe/restaurant is great., modern but great service. We live quite locally and are encouraged to go in the evening now as well. In our opinion the best restaurants are always about the front of house and Crossfields has it right. Everyone in this place has a great view of our beautiful Morecambe bay.
