Our first visit to Rathlin Island and of course we availed of The Hungry Seal! The food was absolutely amazing, we were in chippy heaven. The chips are probably the best I've ever had and the battered sausages to die for! The other half had the haddock supper and claimed it was the best he's ever had. Decent portions, the price is up there but not much different than your average chippy to be fair. The girls were lovely and had the food ready in good time. We would take a trip back to the island just for another feed at the Hungry Seal lol 10/10 for us! (Not my picture, found in Google search)

Popped in yesterday with the family after a beach walk, ordered 6 paniniās and 6 soft drinks - Ā£66 ā¦ I nearly choked!! They brought everything out a different times and fed the children last! Needless to say we wonāt be returning. The paniniās were also minimum standard , no dressings, side salads etc. talk about feeling mugged ā¦.. a really poor experience

Chips were very greasy, curry tastes very powdery. Fish was greasy and looks big but there's alot more batter than there is fish. Sausages were far from nice and the kids burger well the child only ate the meat the bun was rock hard. And the barman is one grumpy hateful person.

Lovely bakery and coffee shop but don't visit if you are coeliac or gluten free. This is the first coffee shop I have visited for some time that simply said "nothing" when I asked what they had that was gluten free. I was surprised and said I felt they should offer something even buy in pre packged products. The lady explained that the bakery is on site and they couldn't guarantee cross contamination wouldn't occur. This is nonsense as many coffee shops bake their own products on site, but have shrink wrapped products that couldn't possibly get cross contaminated. If they think gluten is airborne then I should not even have entered the premises ( but I I won't again anyway!)
