Our first visit to Rathlin Island and of course we availed of The Hungry Seal! The food was absolutely amazing, we were in chippy heaven. The chips are probably the best I've ever had and the battered sausages to die for! The other half had the haddock supper and claimed it was the best he's ever had. Decent portions, the price is up there but not much different than your average chippy to be fair. The girls were lovely and had the food ready in good time. We would take a trip back to the island just for another feed at the Hungry Seal lol 10/10 for us! (Not my picture, found in Google search)

We had a quick dinner here on the last night of our holiday in Ballycastle. We didn’t have a booking but the staff were very accommodating and got us a table quickly. Food was absolutely fantastic. My Rib-eye steak and my wife’s Sirloin were perfectly cooked. Loved it. Thanks to Anthony, our guide at the Giants causeway, for the recommendation.

Went in for a drink during day on the long weekend visiting from Cork the fair was on four of us lovely some music playing .Went back that night everything grand until a group of people sat next to us all ok asked us to take photo did that. After a while one of the women wit black dyed long hair came up next to us shaking her hair into our faces and shaking her fat ass as well into us rest of them found it all great laugh. I know for a fact a bouncer at door saw this and did nothing. They were involed in a fight at bar nothing done say they are regulars as I said lovely bar but some clientele allowed get away with murder.

We came here because of the reviews we read and we were not disappointed. We are both veggies and it can be hard sometimes to get decent food. The veggie fry we had was one of the best and very decently priced. Staff were lovely and friendly. If we're back in Ballycastle we will definitely call in again.

Popped in yesterday with the family after a beach walk, ordered 6 panini’s and 6 soft drinks - £66 … I nearly choked!! They brought everything out a different times and fed the children last! Needless to say we won’t be returning. The panini’s were also minimum standard , no dressings, side salads etc. talk about feeling mugged ….. a really poor experience

UNSAFE FOR YOUNG WOMEN, VERY AGGRESSIVE DOORMAN & SECTARIANISM - DONT RECOMMEND Went to this bar on Saturday 6th July 2024 with a group of 15 women for a hen party. We were having a brillant night keeping to ourselves in a corner of the bar until the live music started, when we went to the dance floor. We then had older men sat recording us the whole time trying to get inappropriate shots of the girls. We reported to the bouncers who said that its a public space and they cant do anything, and the men were probably 'excited' to see young women and probably wanted to 'share some videos with their friends on facebook', we let them know we were uncomfortable with this. The doorman also made a point to let us girls know that he was from a protestant community in Belfast in a manner that we thought was a means to intimidate us as we are from a different community. I spoke with the bar manager who was v.understanding and agreed with us about the inappropriate nature, he actually tried to talk the doorman to also ask them to get the men out, but the doormen refused. He said he couldnt do anything but check the cameras to confirm the conduct was inappropriate, he suggested for our own safety we go elsewhere. I got his contact details and as I was getting them I saw the aggressive doorman hoovering. I asked the bar manager if I could get the doormans name and he said to ask him, so I did, the doorman immediatley got his back up and told me it was illegal to ask, I said okay no problem and turned to walk away, as I turned he grabbed my arm and I asked him not to touch me. I walked back to the bar manager, and the doorman followed me, getting up into my face and reiterating that it was illegal for me to even ask his name, screaming at me demanding to know why I wanted his name, I was stood in shock, I tried to say, that 'I asked, you said no, that's okay,' eventually as the berating continued I felt very scared, intimidated and like the doorman had violent intent, especially since he'd already grabbed me once. I ended up having a panic attack and being helped out of the bar by the bar manager and a friend, both who were shocked themselves at his behaviour. Our group left the bar after this and all the girls spoke to the aggressive nature and sectarianism of the doorman. This is the person whos meant to protect and look after people in the bar, de-escalate situations and make you feel safe, we felt the total oppostie, and for this reason do not recommend. Ive reported the incident to the Security Industry Authority. UPDATE: I contacted the bar to request CCTV, they ignored my requests

From start to finish, what a fantastic anniversary dinner we had. Taken to our pre booked table immediately. Jug of water and 2 glasses left on table by waitress(something every restaurant should do)followed by menus. Short time later waitress came and took food and drink orders. Drinks appeared in no time at all. Food came out and boy was it tasty. Garlic mushrooms and spring rolls to start followed by rump steak and potatoes of your choice. I got cheesy chilli and they were awesome. Will be back and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking quality affordable grub.

Afternoon Tea yesterday! 5* prices. Food looked well and tasted good - don't expect cream with your scone and jam ...you don't get any!! Service non existent which ruined the whole experience. We had booked but the attention to detail was sadly lacking. Very disappointing.
