Our first visit to Rathlin Island and of course we availed of The Hungry Seal! The food was absolutely amazing, we were in chippy heaven. The chips are probably the best I've ever had and the battered sausages to die for! The other half had the haddock supper and claimed it was the best he's ever had. Decent portions, the price is up there but not much different than your average chippy to be fair. The girls were lovely and had the food ready in good time. We would take a trip back to the island just for another feed at the Hungry Seal lol 10/10 for us! (Not my picture, found in Google search)

I recently took a group of 3 friends from England over to Rathlin. We had been recommended The Hungry Seal to try.... which we did and weren't disappointed. We all tried the fresh Haddock & Chips, the fish having been landed less than an hour before. Served by friendly staff and the fish blew the minds of my guests.... with comments such as: fish and chips elsewhere will never taste the same/live up to this. Well done and thanks 'The Hungry Seal'.

Ate here on our visit to Rathlin. The staff were so friendly. Food was amazing and cooked so fast. We ate it on the picnic benches across from the van and enjoyed the sea view. Best food on the island.

Ate here for our recent trip to Rathlin and would 100% recommend! Loaded fries, sausage suppers and the classic chips in a bag - all incredible. A real hidden gem. The lady working here was also super friendly and told us a little about Rathlin. Definitely go here if you’re on the island!

Had the hungry seal burger and it was so good I literally had dreams about it afterwards. Chips were sensational too. Everything cooked fresh and prepared with care and flair, right down to the thoughtful packaging. Highly recommend!

Great food on a lovely island. Fish and chips to rival any, anywhere. Batter as light as a feather, fish flakey and fresh. I’m told that the burgers are just as good and the chips nicely cooked. All produced from a mobile kitchen a couple of hundred yards from the pub. If you visit Rathlin this place is well worth a visit.

I have to visit the island occasionally for work and the Hungry Seal sums up what 'fast food' can be, with a little effort! The food is delicious and it comes with a huge emphasis on the environment so a quality offering all round. When you find yourself writing a review about a bag of chips, you know it must be good... I look forward to sampling the other menu options. Thanks for providing this service and it was excellent customer service.

... indeed they do! Imagine taking a rare 300+ mile journey to revisit your childhood memories, including that of the pub that you were born in. Imagine turning up at the said establishment, full of excitement and anticipation only to be shouted at "You can't park here, I'm expecting people for Sunday Lunch" - maybe the Landlord was psychic and knew we weren't his intended visitors, or he only serves his local clientele with charm? Imagine then trying to hold a conversation with said Landlord about the past, who clearly wasn't interested, simply citing "things change". Indeed they do... just not always for the better... as evidenced at The Bush (previous name, from back in (much) better times.

Absolutely loved the bakery! Extremely friendly shop owner, and even had a gluten free option which was much appreciated! I would highly recommend this bakery, and will definitely be revisiting next time I visit Keswick!
