We were a little late (2pm) so not surprisingly some choices were not available. But what we had was homemade and delicious. Cream cake was particularly excellent and all very welcome after a long morning of walking. Thanks to Callum a National Trust person who used to work here for the recommendation 👍🏼

The gluten free bread!!! Ah! I wish I had taken a loaf to-go! I stopped in quickly to grab a soup to-go since the rest of the family wanted to try a different spot for lunch. I was so sad I didn’t take more with me! The soup was fantastic, but the bread slices were fresh from the oven and amazing! Cute little cafe. Definitely worth a stop!

Stopped here for some brunch on a rainy Feb morning. There were only a few others in the cafe so plenty of choice of seating. There were lots of choice for food and drink. The cafe was more than happy with us ordering mixes of different items. Nothing was too difficult. The food was very tasty! Especially the potato bread, yum! The French toast came with a very small pot of maple syrup, very cute. Well worth going to if you are up Ballycastle way. We even took some items away with us for later in the day. The vegan puff with extremely good plus the Waldorf Salad & Raspberry/White chocolate scone went down a treat.

On a recent trip to Ballycastle we popped in for lunch. The array of tasty homemade food & salads was very impressive. We got talking with the owner and he gave us some great pointers on local places to visit during our trip (Thanks Tom). The food was delicious and plentiful and we also took home some of the famous Thyme and Co. wheaten and scones. Will definitely visit again when we return to North Antrim.

We had read wonderful reviews of their fry-ups, and so went in for lunch. There was a choice of quiche or a fishcake for lunch. Otherwise, fry-ups. I had the fishcake - one small thing, billed as salmon and cod, but almost all mashed potato - with the surprising addition of lots of sugar. Lukewarm, served with a bowl of brown chutney. (Brown chutney with a sugary fishcake??). My husband had the quiche which was passable. We saw no indications of prices on their menu boards - you go back to the counter to pay after you have eaten, so the deed is done by then. The bill for one fishcake, quiche slice, and 2 coffees: £17. Complete rip-off.

We visited whilst on holiday in Ballycastle. After a few days of fish n chips, pizzas and supermarket picnics it was lovely to have a healthy, filling, home cooked meal. Thyme and Co is the antidote to fast food and chain restaurants! We had big slices of pie (chicken and broccoli; chickpea/lentil roll), a variety of imaginative salads and the homemade cakes for pudding. The Apple pie was fabulous. Service extremely quick, friendly and efficient! Good prices. We stopped in at Thyme and Co on a half-day visit in Ballycastle. They advertise having vegan choices on the menu and did not disappoint--we had a spinach-and-hazelnut puff, which was a savory and delicious filling in puff pastry; we also had a soup that was from some kind of winter squash and was wonderful on a chilly day. We had the vegan burger, which was served open-faced with a strong, tasty mustard. It also incorporated a good deal of spinach, which we liked. They had two vegan desserts, a "tiffin" which was more of a "flapjack" which in the UK means "granola bar", and a chocolate-dipped energy ball. Both were nutty and fruity and totally delicious. The espresso drinks were some of the best we had in Northern Ireland, and we went to some of the best coffee shops around the Antrim Coast and in Belfast. Homey atmosphere, very sweet and knowledgeable staff. If you can manage dairy, they have an award-winning wheaten bread (we did bend the rules for ourselves and try a slice, and you could really taste the distinct flavor of the grain--it was worth it). Highly recommend to not only vegan travelers through Northern Ireland, but also anyone looking for a meal of quality and fresh flavors, as they serve majority non-vegan food. Cheers!

We seemed to arrive here at the end of the Sunday morning rush, as there were no tables available when we walked in, but a friendly member of staff greeted us as we came in and assured us that a table would soon be available. It was, and he made sure that it was cleaned and ready for us very quickly. There were no menus on the tables so you had to go to the counter to order. Twice-baked potatoes topped with cheese and salad accompaniments were really tasty. Twice-baked U say? The interiors of the spuds had been scooped out, creamed and refilled back into the skins! The salads were various - homemade coleslaw, beetroot, salad leaves, tomato, cous-cous. Wife had goats cheese on sourdough, again with salad. Another little gem to go back to. I love having tea out of beautiful bone china tea cups, the breakfasts are big and the baked goods are outstanding. One of the gals brought us a slice of the "15" cake/bread. It is unique to only that region: a sweet butter cake with marshmallow and fruit ( don't let the description fool you ) it was delicious!!! Whilst visiting giants causeway, Bushmills distillery etc... Took a coastal drive to Ballycastle ( just about 15 mins from causeway & 5 mins from rope bridge) Stopped in Thyme & co on the main st of Ballycastle. What a delightful place. Very quaint but modern. The food was so fresh and tasty. From beautiful salads to homemade scones( to die for) full lunch or coffee and cake. We had apple pie.....so beautiful light and fresh, and coconut almond cake(owner said they had won an award for it yum yum! ) I would highly recommend this as a stop off whilst travelling the north coast!!!!!!!

We had a light lunch- sausage roll, baked potato and omelette respectively- all of which were served to our requirements. Service was quick and efficient, with the staff taking time to make sure we had all we needed. Just one little thing- you might consider offering a stronger variety/brew of tea please.

We had our daily breakfast at Thyme and it was always great. Porridge, different style of eggs and the scones are fantastic! Thank you, Thyme! Was a great start into the day!

Got a voucher off our daughter's for a meal, they had no catering at first so had to wait till now. unfortunately the food I received wasn't great, pulled beef lasagna ,the meat was dried out on the dish and had gone hard.My wife got pie which was better but not great. The staff were very nice though.

Main courses were delicious, the only big let down were the deserts, Nutella sundae with whipped cream, it isn't a sundae without ice-cream and sticky toffee pudding with whipped cream, when stated on menu vanilla ice-cream , with no discount because of alternative, should of came out to say they had run out of ice-cream

Beautiful spot for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea near to Bassenthwaite Lake. Plenty of free parking. We stopped for lunch here. Portion size is very generous and food was delicious. Lovely experience to eat on the train. Would highly recommend. Owners very friendly and welcoming.
