The pub is run by an old lady who likes a nice chat. It is a real English pub. Great food. You can spend the night here with your camper in the parking lot when you come or go to or from the Ferry in Harwich.

Had lunch at the start of 2025 in the Stoke-by-Nayland Crown. It did not disappoint, service was excellent as was all our table meals, from the burger to chalk stream Trout, perfection. Highly recommend.

This is supposed to be part of a place supposedly rescuing animal. but they don't they sell them dead an call it food. you cant say you rescue animals then eat them!

This old pub has become a fine restaurant. Superb food and wine and cheerful and attentive service. My only problem was the intrusive noise of other diners, despite putting my hearing aids onto Speech in Loud Noise setting.
