The best restaurants serving Mexican food in North East

Have been back here now a couple of times recently. Being honest Indian was not usually our first choice for a meal out but this place has converted us. We were there last night. I had Lamb Kundan Kaliyan and my husband had Lamb Byriani and both were absolutely delicious. It was one of the best plates of food I have had. The service is second to none. Would recommend.

Banging. Visited during restaurant week when deals were on, however price of tacos is very affordable and worth it for the portion size. OBVIOUSLY a wide range of options for veggies! Between the two of us we ordered 6 tacos, our favourite being the Pastor and Banana. Corn ribs and nachos obviously a must. Will return!

Tried this little restaurant an Saturday with my sisters . It ticked all of our boxes . The staff were excellent ,the barman couldn’t have done more , his friendly and attentive service together with a relaxed and comfortable environment made our visit very enjoyable . The food was great value for money. We had the £7:95 2 course special . It was very tasty , well cooked and presented ( we even had proper salad garnish instead of the usual bit of soggy lettuce ! ) We meet for lunch every Saturday and look for small friendly places with reasonable prices , good food and friendly staff .This place had it all. We are returning this Saturday !

Had Sunday lunch there last week. The food was great, Really large portions and neither of us could eat it all, good selection of vegetables and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We will be back.

Comida texmex absolutamente fabulosa. Teníamos los burritos completamente cargados y los churros de queso y chorizo con salsa para comenzar, buenas raciones y buen sabor. Está situado en el restaurante Sohe y parece ser un ajetreo secundario para ellos, solo lo encontraron por casualidad en las redes sociales, ya que no está muy bien anunciado. 10/10 lo recomendaría, aunque si no te gusta el cilantro, ¡quizás lo mencionaría cuando pidas!

Since Chef's Chippy next door closed, there has been nowhere on the High St, for Sunday Lunch. Now you can get a tasty takeaway Sunday lunch at Grabn'Go, with a choice of Pork, Beef or Chicken. Plus they have a 5 rating for hygiene. Prices are good as well.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS PLACE ! The salsa music was doing everything better, you could feel like being in the sunny sombreros country !! 💃🕺💃🕺 Food was DELICIOUS and drinks tasted so....unique ! If you come around here....IT'S A MUST to go have a meal there ! You've GOT TO !!! 🤟🤟🤟🤟

Outstanding food, everything was cooked to perfection and all of the ingredients tasted so fresh. Presentation was beautiful. Staff were very attentive and friendly. You couldn’t fault the price either, extremely reasonable. We will definitely be returning.

Utterly shambolic service and food from this establishment. I came in as a walk in on the afternoonon 1st March, clearly heavily pregnant with my 4 year old daughter. We were advised from the start that there were no tables inside and that we'd have to sit outside, however, the male member of staff did say he'd let us know as soon as a table opened up. Fair enough. As it was freezing, and I was evidently pregnant and had a small child with me, we did ask if we could wait inside at the apparently two "booked out tables " until our food was ready, however we were advised we could not wait inside Fine, so we waited outside. There were four of us in total. So we sat outside in the freezing cold with barely working heaters (after being told they were strong enough to keep is warm) and watched as three tables opened up and no one came in for the "booked out tables" over the course of about 45 minutes. We realised at that point that the staff probably just couldn't be bothered to clean the tables before their later booking. This combined with the staffs can't be bothered to deal with new customer attitude reinforced our logic. The bill for three burritos, three soft drinks and a small portion of nachos came to a whopping £55, this was our fault as we probably should have skipped the measley nachos and over priced gauc which I could have made better at home. I ordered the shrimp burrito, and sadly after I consumed it I felt severely nauseous all day, I'm actually atill nauseous as i write this out. As I was eating it, I do member thinking the shrimp texture seemed abit undercooked but at thay point I couldn't feel my face from the cold and my 6 months pregnancy hunger took over. All in all, I would not recommend anyone to eat here, go up the street to Mascalzone or even better, visit the choppy across the road to save yourself paying for potential food poisoning.

Had a lovely meal with friends. Cracking burritos, tacos and sides. Good cocktails too. It was our server’s first shift, but he was excellent

Lovely place. Me and my boyfriend went for our anniversary and the atmosphere was great. Food was amazing and only had a 10 minute wait! Got severed by a lovely girl named Kate. Left a tip which we found out most people don’t do ! Overall fabulous service and would definitely reccomend!

Food is generally good, although they do sometimes mix orders resulting in literally a 'mixed bag' of food. Where this place let's it down is service, there seems to be nobody who is in charge and the staff seem poorly trained. They don't even know their own menu and ordering is often a chore - the iPad till set up should be fairly straightforward to use but even this confuses their front of house staff. Top marks for the Katsu Curry, and the wraps are good.

Appalling. Took order for delivery still not arrived after 2 hrs. Don't answer their phone. When driver finally arrive 1 hrs after getting a text to say he is on his way it takes him 1 hrs to drive 3 miles. All we got was " we are chocka busy" here's a free can of pop. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Food was fabulous. Good service. Brilliant, friendly waitresses. Will definitely go again. Sat in the garden which was nicely set out.
