Food was fabulous. Good service. Brilliant, friendly waitresses. Will definitely go again. Sat in the garden which was nicely set out.

Booked a table for my daughter’s birthday. One of the few places offering outdoor dining under cover. Setting was lovely, staff were attentive, food was fabulous. Highly recommended.

We went to the Steam Garden for evening drinks in the marquee, which was great as it was raining. There are heat lamps, so it was warm. The service was good- just right timing, and friendly too.

I came here on a Friday with friends, came around lunch time, wasn't too busy at all, yet waited just over an hour for food. When the food arrived everything was great except I ordered the ribs (which I also bought during lockdown for takeaway and got lots/big thick ribs. This time eating in I paid the £6 only to get 3 tiny skinny little ribs, not worth the £6. But other than this the food was lovely and the garden area was very nice and spacious! Will come back but if the wait is over an hour again it will be the last time.

We visited for the first time tonight, we arrived at 5pm, we ordered our food and expected it quite fast as the place was empty. After 40 mins I asked the lovely waitress and she told us lots of take away orders had come in so ours had been pushed back. The food was nice( although a burger with no chips is strange!), staff were lovely but surely a family sat in the restaurant should take priority over a just eats. The long wait made the whole experience harder for us as our kids were soon moaning. We will go back and sit in the nice garden but probably just for a drink.

We went to this gem of a place by accident looking for a quick meal as a break from shopping. We were very happy with the food and the service. My part end has pre conditions so I am always careful where we eat since lockdown. Safe procedures in place impressed by friendly smiley staff. Sat outside...so did not wear masks felt safe because of social distance Thanks the steam garden!

We went to The Steam Gardens for a family party. It was the first time we'd eaten out since the lockdown in March. I must say the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had booked to eat outside but as it decided to pour down the staff found us some socially distanced tables and chairs inside. The food was great and my son especially enjoyed his burger. I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again.

Utterly shambolic service and food from this establishment. I came in as a walk in on the afternoonon 1st March, clearly heavily pregnant with my 4 year old daughter. We were advised from the start that there were no tables inside and that we'd have to sit outside, however, the male member of staff did say he'd let us know as soon as a table opened up. Fair enough. As it was freezing, and I was evidently pregnant and had a small child with me, we did ask if we could wait inside at the apparently two "booked out tables " until our food was ready, however we were advised we could not wait inside Fine, so we waited outside. There were four of us in total. So we sat outside in the freezing cold with barely working heaters (after being told they were strong enough to keep is warm) and watched as three tables opened up and no one came in for the "booked out tables" over the course of about 45 minutes. We realised at that point that the staff probably just couldn't be bothered to clean the tables before their later booking. This combined with the staffs can't be bothered to deal with new customer attitude reinforced our logic. The bill for three burritos, three soft drinks and a small portion of nachos came to a whopping £55, this was our fault as we probably should have skipped the measley nachos and over priced gauc which I could have made better at home. I ordered the shrimp burrito, and sadly after I consumed it I felt severely nauseous all day, I'm actually atill nauseous as i write this out. As I was eating it, I do member thinking the shrimp texture seemed abit undercooked but at thay point I couldn't feel my face from the cold and my 6 months pregnancy hunger took over. All in all, I would not recommend anyone to eat here, go up the street to Mascalzone or even better, visit the choppy across the road to save yourself paying for potential food poisoning.
