The best restaurants serving Japanese food in England

Been going there for quite a while now and I can tell you that it’s the best Korean food ever and the staff is amazing! I highly recommend it.

Brilliant food, the taster menu was exceptional and paired with the black cod… stunning! Would highly recommend

First time experiencing this place. We came for my husbands birthday and it did not disappoint. We have loved Japanese cuisine more recently and thought we would check this place out. Absolutely amazing food and the service is great. The staff are lovely and will recommend where needed. Definately will be back and can't wait to experience here again. The octopus balls are sublime! Really recommend anyone to come here if you like Japanese food. Thank you guys for an amazing evening and some outstanding food! Your chefs are incredible at what they do! Love LOVE love this place! This is our new go to!

Visited a couple of years ago and only getting round to writing a review... was an amazing meal with the best sushi I've had.

Wow. Just wow. Had the cauliflower wings and it was life changing. My 14 year old told me to leave him there forever hahahhahahaha. What an experience and what a katsu curry. Easily the best I’ve had and I’ve been to Japan! I went to Tokyo in 1996 and it was a lot of fun but the Katsus there had nothing on this Cornish joint. I would be here everyday if I could!!! Thank you so much for such a lovely experience and meal. Highly recommended.

Booked a table for 8.30pm, wasn’t seated for 40 minutes and was left to wait without an offer of a drink. Food all came at different times and left an hour between dishes. Waitress Lauren “manager” brought us the wrong dish, when my friend informed her it wasn’t for us, she argued with us that it was ours and walked off rolling her eyes. She later discovered it was for the table next door. I’ve been here before and have always had good experiences until now. But because of this I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially on a Saturday night.

Having regularly adventured to the food spots in the market, tea & bun have been by far my favourite! Fresh tasting food with wonderful flavours, all at good prices with great service to match. I particularly recommend the karage as it’ll beat any sort of fried chicken you’ve ever had.

I did the sushi making course with my fiancée for a date night and it was amazing. Our Sushi chef Kazuyo was so personable and fun. It is a maximum of 6 people which is just right and our chef was Japanese with 16 years of experience which made it even more authentic. The restaurant decor was amazing and Kazuyo made the experience even better. Thank you Tokii and Kazuyo… definitely recommend
