The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Bristol, City of South West

Wizzy is providing lunches until it closes on June 22! If you check their Instagram account before you go, you’ll know if there is lunch that day. As for dinner, it is available in two seatings every Friday and Saturday. The hours are incorrect. The lunch timings are roughly 12:30-13:30 but food may run out faster on some days. The lunch box is just £4.5 and you get generous portions and many options, different every day. It’s nourishing and delicious at the same time, honestly the highlight of my days working in the office! The dinner’s portions are huge as well, with so many courses. I’d recommend going there with others, but for lunch, it’s nice to go by yourself as well and have a chat with Wizzy who always has lots of insights to share about food, the environment, and her philosophy!

Been here more than a dozen times, and they’re always consistently perfect. 10/10

Service was not that good, food was average, I had to ask for a drink multiple times and it was given to me without any politeness. The menu on the window has different prices than inside

Stopped off for a couple of drinks,starters and sharing plates. We were served by Jireh who was very helpful and gave us amazing recommendations to which we ended up enjoying the meal more than we expected ! Would definitely come here again! Thank you Jireh :)

I went here with a friend for a lunch break while visiting Bristol. It seemed quiet but we didn't realise that there were two other rooms, so it would be great for a group or a large party of people. Service was great, despite the fact that we couldn't use the QR code to order or pay. Staff were really friendly and didn't mind explaining the menu. We both chose the Sunflower bento box which turned out to be delicious. I've had Japanese style food from chain restaurants but this was so much more flavourful and different. I'd definitely go there again the next time I'm in Bristol. As an aside, I love the washbasin in the ladies!!

Tuna platter is very nice! And the atmosphere is so good as well, reminding me of my time travel in Japan.

They cook the skewers in the kitchen now instead of allowing you to cook it yourself at the table. Generally overpriced and there was little atmosphere.

First time going to wagamama with my partner for my birthday food was beautiful services amazing. Thank you for the beautiful food will definitely recommend you to friends and family

Vaya, este lugar es triste. El personal más infeliz y los clientes igualmente infelices. Casi todas las mesas tenían quejas o problemas. La mitad del menú no está disponible. El nivel de servicio es pésimo. Te ignoran en la puerta, te dan un menú pero no te dicen que no puedes tener la mayor parte, nadie viene a tomar tu pedido y la comida tarda años en llegar. Fue cocinado por el gerente que también está atendiendo llamadas telefónicas, usando la computadora portátil y no lavándose las manos. ¡No volverá!

Lío por todas partes. No hay mesas despejadas. Las bebidas tardaron una edad en salir. La comida nunca llegó porque se fue después de esperar más de una hora, momento en el que nos dijeron que tenían un problema con la olla de arroz. No estoy seguro de por qué no pudieron habernos dicho eso cuando pedimos. Después de haber mirado otras críticas, esto parece ser una excusa constante. Si su menú se basa en gran medida en arroz, ¿por qué su olla de arroz siempre está rota? Personal grosero. No volvería.

Really disappointed with our visit. My wife is a big sushi fan, so I booked a table for lunch for her birthday. On arrival we were told a couple of things were off the menu, that’s fine, it happens. But when trying to place our order for sushi, we were told they aren’t doing sushi today as the chef hadn’t turned up for work… I asked when he might be in, and we’re told that he hadn’t responded to her text… this is appalling.
