Rudest staff I have ever come across. We ordered a bunch of different items the chicken teriyaki noddles were amazing BAR that the rest was horrid. We sent back a cold, unseasoned, tasteless prawn tempura to be told no refund as that was our opinion! Are you kidding? Yes exactly correct it’s my opinion, I can’t eat the disgusting dish it comes off the menu simple! I have never been told that and considering our bill was 150£ the fish should have come off. The manageress then had the nerve to ask if we wanted to leave a tip. Shocking, rude, in need of serious customer training. Good luck but I will never return back.

We've eaten in a couple of Yo Sushi restaurants before and it's usually a slick and reliable experience from end to end. The Yo! in Bristol Cabot Circus was a massive disappointment, not being either of those things. First the layout of the restaurant just doesn't really work. We get that the whole 'draw' of a Yo Sushi is the food conveyor belt and that there's a need to arrange seating so everyone can nab dishes off the belt as it passes, but the layout in Bristol Cabot Circus is terrible, meaning that any customers sitting at the far end are often ignored (but we'll come back to that point in a mo). Seating is also awkwardly arranged so where we were seated meant we were directly placed with our backs to a customer with a young child, who managed to somehow coat my back in bits of flicked rice and other dinner detritus. Great. The positioning of the seating meant that we were right next to the food prep bits which made for some awkward moments when staff busily preparing the sushi were our only point of contact to get service, so they were often having to holler across the restaurant to the table staff (who seemed to be more interested in just chatting with each other and 'hiding' in the staff station area right at the opposite side of the store rather than serving tables). This being a Yo Sushi that isn't app driven (ie you have to order menu items by trying to get someone's attention - good luck with that in this branch!) meant we were waiting 45 minutes for our hot options, by which time the person we were with had gleefully scoffed their food from the conveyor options. By the time we were served (the worst Katsu I've ever eaten, though my daughter seemed to get on OK with her Korean chicken) our other guest had already finished and had to sit there tapping her feet waiting for us. Then, of course, when it came to paying time it was only the fact that we started to get our coats on (after a lot of frantic waving and being ignored) that prompted the table staff to wake up and actually do what they were there for. We did make a comment about the poor service and wait times but just elicited a shrug and a "have a nice rest of your day". To add insult to injury the two of us who ate the hot options from the menu got chronically ill the next day. Great. All in all, a place to avoid. If you want to know why the nearby Wagamamas is always packed and Yo Sushi is always nearly empty this review might give you a clue or two.

We went for the bottomless sushi offering - and we're really pleasantly surprised. As all 3 of us are vegan, we called ahead to check whether the bottomless sushi would be worthwhile for us, and Anna at YO! not only told us all the available options, but offered that on arrival if we said hi they'd make sure some more vegan dishes were made available on the belt. Making a request like this normally makes me feel like I'm burdening staff, but Anna made us feel really at ease and helped make it a great night for all of us. Everyone there was really friendly, and the vegan offerings were great. Thank you, Anna! 🙏

Avoid. The fact that they were unloading and sorting a stock order all over the floor right next to us tells you everything you need to know. No apologies, no explanation We felt like we were eating in a staff corridor as they consulted each other about missing items on the bench right next to us as we ate. And the belt was filthy, with bits of old food under it. And an order than 2 years ago would have cost £30 now costs £50. Go somewhere else.

16yo picked Yo Sushi for his celebration meal and I’m really glad he did. Delicious food, served quickly, buzzy atmosphere and the staff were great (especially blonde Anna) who was just lovely and made him feel super special. Will def be back! (PS duck fries were amazing 🤩)

Food lovely. Slightly put out by the service. We were asked if we'd like a drink and didn't receive it. At the end we were asked if we could leave a review whilst we were paying. Then we were asked to leave a tip. I will always tip but I don't like to be asked! In the end I tipped myself for the self service I had so diligently performed.

Food was OK and staff friendly but the ordering system is online and completely ridiculous. Vague wifi and glitches mean you're sitting there yearning to just talk to someone. There are no buttons to call people over or free fizzy water as there used to be at Yo! All a bit of a pain to be honest.

Visited with our two children last week. The food was awful and our poor server was new and left to fend for himself because he kept forgetting our order (we had some allergies so we were asked by staff to use the app and then the server would double-check our order for the kitchen). The app kept crashing and adding previous items onto each new order and despite notifying staff each time they were insistent on still using the app and tried to charge us for food we weren't brought. We decided to leave but had to wait over 40 minutes for someone to get the bill even though we asked numerous times and the place was dead other than my family and 2 single diners. Really disappointed, I think our family will avoid Yo! from now on.

I don’t think I’ll ever come back to YO! Sushi, which is a shame because I’m a massive sushi fan. It took 10 minutes to be seated. The staff were very unwelcoming. It was very difficult to attract a waiter’s attention. The food is overpriced for what it is. As a pescatarian, it was difficult to tell what food was fish and what was meat. They didn’t have any ice for my drink. Apart from the conveyor belt gimmick, don’t bother coming here.

Very disappointing experience. Website states that they are opening from 11:00. The wall and door was glass but nobody cared to open the door or welcome us. 11:09 I opened the door and asked are they open and they looked at me like why are you here and then they mumbled that yes. After being seated I stated ordering but the app is very confusing and stopped working after the 10 minutes. Many items on the paper menu were not on the app menu and there is no search option on the app. I forgot to add the drinks and due to app not working I just didn’t have a chance to order any. There was no service at all. No one came to us to see are we ok or do we need anything. I had three hungry toddlers with me so I didn’t have the chance to go and look for a staff. We were the only ones in there beside the staff but I noticed that the one waiting staff was busy packing delivery orders rather than attending us. I have been in Yo sushi several times but this was my first (and last time) in Cabot Circus. Baby seat was very dirty and had old food around the bottom strap. Food was good but service very poor.

We arrived at 12pm just before the rush was told we could use the qr code or help yourself. My daughter wanted some bits to order so we did we waited and waited then went to see someone as it was taking so long they first told us the order hadn't arrived at the kitchen and would be on it straight away we helped ourselves to some dishes that were coming round but again had to go and see someone as we waited 45 mins then was told the kitchen was busy we can see the kitchen and everyone else was getting their orders. After a few more minutes we decided enough was enough and went to see the manager and said we were really dissapointed with the service and waiting time I explained it was my daughters birthday and her response was "Happy birthday now LEAVE" so we did and ok we didn't pay for anything but I won't be going back Exeter is far better lovely staff their who are more friendly and service much better.

10 years ago I wrote to the marketing director of Yo Sushi telling him I can’t go in because of the fact I am colour blind and their system is a nightmare for me. He said they would look at changing this to be more inclusive. Fast forward 10 years when my boys asked me to go so I agreed so I could see if they are now more inclusive. They are not.

Also, the app had different categories to the menu which made it hard to find what I wanted. I ended up ordering direct and giving up on the app as it felt more stressful than helpful.

My friend had booked the Sushi School experience for my Christmas present. We enjoyed every minute of it - the chef teaching us, Petra, was kind, funny, always had a smile on her face and clearly knew what she was talking about! We arrived and was offered a free drink, gyoza (chicken, prawn or vegetable) - when the course started Petra was very patient and happy to help if we needed it. We could eat the sushi we made as we went along, eat at the end or take home! At the end we received a certificate and 25% out next visit to Yo! Sushi. Great experience and great value for the money!

my daughter loves this place. The covid version was less fun because you don’t get to watch the different coloured plates go round, but we appreciated being there despite this. The sushi is not for me though;a bit greasy and not much variation in textures & flavours.

Experiencia extremadamente decepcionante. Estuve aquí con un grupo pequeño un viernes por la noche bastante ajetreado. Después de ordenar mi comida a través del sistema en línea tuve que esperar 45 minutos para que llegara el primer plato (sopa misou ...). Todos en mi mesa ya estaban terminando su comida (los mismos platos que estaba esperando). Es muy difícil captar la atención del personal. Tuve que levantarme varias veces para poder hablar con un camarero, cuando se supone que no debes levantarte de la mesa. El sistema de cinturón también es muy decepcionante, ya que a veces le da 1 o 2 segundos de luz verde para agarrar la comida. Si no es así, buena suerte al volver a verlo. La comida en sí tiene una buena relación calidad / precio, pero en general no volveré y le recomiendo encarecidamente que reconsidere y lea las críticas anteriores si planea visitar

Podrían haberle dicho esto a la gran cola en lugar de hacerme esperar todo ese tiempo.Cuando entré un par de semanas después, ordené del menú en línea. Diría que solo 1/3 de mi comida llegó a mi mesa. Me hicieron esperar de nuevo durante otros 30 minutos hasta que se dieron cuenta de que estaba sentado allí. Les habría dado una reseña de 1 estrella, pero me dieron la mitad de precio por toda la comida y bebida para compensar todas las esperas y la decepción.No coman gente aquí. Como de costumbre, nos hemos quedado un buen rato en la puerta antes de preguntarnos por el número de reserva. El sistema de semáforos que tienes es basura. . . nuestra comida se detuvo frente a otro cliente y ella estaba a punto de tocarla y luego se acercó a nosotros. Tienes que ser muy rápido para agarrar la comida, de lo contrario se irá. Presionamos el botón de ayuda dos veces y nos ignoraron. Tienes que levantarte y caminar para encontrar una persona que te ayude. Finalmente, me enfermé y no pude comer durante 2 días. Con todo, una experiencia horrible y estresante. Nunca volverás a ver mi cara.

My husband and I went to YO! Sushi for a meal. We were slightly worried with the fact that none of the floor staff were wearing masks or visors. When talking to the customers, they were getting really close which made us both feel uneasy. The food was nice but the service was a bit dismissive. Since you have to do everything online, you ask for the discount code from the staff when you are ready to pay. When we asked one of them for the code, she dismissed us with a rude hand gesture as if she’s saying I’m busy and have no time for you. We love Yo Sushi and always visit because we know what to expect but we were not pleased with this visit!

First time to a Sushi restaurant in the UK.Must say it was a Fantastic experience. The staff were attentive and helpful explaining how the menu worked. Great value for money and its also great fun picking your food off the conveyor belt.The water taps on your table are also a great idea.there are too many dishes here to describe them so look at their website or my Pics.Already planning to go again.

Two of us visited Yo Sushi on a reasonably busy Saturday lunchtime, having visited many times before. We encountered incorrect orders (only one of us actually had a meal in the end), poor communication and a pretty shabby environment. Paintwork was flaking and fixtures in the bathrooms were way past their best. The conveyor/counter area had food spillages on that weren't wiped up and even the little plastic food domes and dishes were covered in scuffs and scratches.We also saw staff sat eating their own lunch from Greggs at the counter. (Not their fault – the company needs to make proper arrangements for their staff to eat or require them to go elsewhere.)Yo Sushi has always been pricey but it used to be worth it for good food, fast service and fun surroundings. Things seem to have gone downhill here – it's all too shabby and slack now to justify the high prices they charge. It's a shame, but we won't be going back.

Nuestro almuerzo tardó más de 2 horas debido al mal servicio. Parecía haber tres personas sirviendo. Un tipo obvio que llevaba puesta una camiseta de sushi y dos damas vestidas. Esto hizo que fuera realmente difícil llamar su atención. Hay poca recepción en el restaurante, por lo que fue difícil para mi amiga mencionar su descuento estudiantil unidireccional. Cuando esto se señaló, la respuesta fue sarcástica "oh, qué vergüenza". Nuestra cuenta fue totalizada y aconsejó pagar en la caja registradora. ¡Me sorprendió porque nuestra factura llegó a casi 70 por 2! ! Cuando se le pidió ver los artículos. La señora de la caja parecía realmente molesta. Se agregaron alrededor de 6 elementos adicionales por error. Nos hicieron sentir como si estuviéramos mintiendo. Es una pena ya que cenamos en otras sucursales y están en otro nivel de este lugar (especialmente Cardiff y Watford).Ahórrate un poco de tiempo y evita este lugar como la peste.

Had good service in the past but think they've had a staff rearrangement. Arrived for a celebratory lunch with friends today, requested a booth seat (my friend has a back problem), was told we could have the next one available if we waited 15 minutes, which we did. Right before our table comes free and we're about to be taken over, a woman who had been waiting only for 5 minutes demands our table and we get ushered onto cramped stools at the bar right by the pot washing station and bathroom door. We were then ignored by the staff who had dealt very badly with the seating situation (no compromise made on behalf of the staff) and had to wait a while until somebody else was available to take our order. Although the food was satisfactory, it took a very long time to arrive and was either handed to us directly or plonked clumsily on the end of our table. Had our valid customer needs been met we would've happily stayed a lot longer and potentially spent a lot more Money but did not feel well catred for. I'm afraid it's a classic example of disregardment of younger people, for some reason some servers feel they can throw their weight around with teenagers unescorted by parents. Not always the case but it happens every now and again and it can be both upsetting and embarrassing to have to deal with, particularly as I'm a younger student and going out for a meal with friends isn't always the easiest to fund. When it does I dont feel keen to give any further business to places that tolerate their staff treating paying customers so. I feel something would've been done to improve our experience had we been a party of four adults. I've had great service here in the past from very friendly people, always been able to count on yo sushi for fast service but this trip is enough to put me off, and ward others from, dining here again. Not impressed.

Yo es uno de mis restaurantes favoritos, sin embargo, este en particular no fue tan bueno, esperó mucho tiempo para estar sentado y terminó siendo bastante estrecho en los asientos del bar. Mi novio y yo fuimos a Yo Sushi el viernes 3 de enero de 2020 para cenar. Llegamos a la puerta y esperamos a que nos sentaran. Después de esperar unos minutos (mucho tiempo considerando que el restaurante estaba bastante vacío), un camarero vino a sentarnos. Preguntamos si podíamos sentarnos en una de las cabinas, en lugar de los taburetes sin respaldo de la cinta transportadora, ya que mi novio tiene ciática, por lo que le duele la espalda sentarse en los taburetes, ya que obviamente no brindan apoyo. El camarero dijo que no podíamos, ya que solo éramos 2 y aparentemente las cabinas son solo para 3 o más personas. Le preguntamos nuevamente y le explicamos por segunda vez los problemas de espalda de mi novio, así que nos sentó en la mesa inferior para discapacitados junto a la puerta. Otro miembro del personal (creo que el supervisor / gerente) vino y nos preguntó quién nos había sentado allí, así que explicamos. Dijo que no podíamos sentarnos allí ya que era la mesa para discapacitados, así que nos pidió que nos moviéramos a la mesa de al lado. Went with my sister three days ago. The service was crazy slow!? Also a blonde man who appeared to be a manager overcharged us both by £1. This was after I told him I'd worked mine out. Appalling staff care. one rude and obnoxious plump man with blonde hair especially bad, Served incredibly slowly with no decency or customer respect and treated customers poorly. Facilities are terrible and run down, most of the water taps and buzzers are out of order which makes the process of ordering food difficult and defeats the point of conveyor belt sushi restaurants. I also noticed the miso soup machine was out of order. Food was pretty mediocre and overpriced, nothing special, the ramen is pretty much seaweed flavoured water with a few noodles floating around in it. To top it off, when I stood up to pay with my student discount and left I realised I had been overcharged for my meal. Among one of the worst restaurant experiences ever.

There were 7 of us and we wanted to book ahead - not possible. We had a round trip of 88 miles. It was my granddaughter's 16th birthday and her first trip to Yo Sushi. We turned up and asked to be seated together. We got a look that said 'You've gotta be kidding, right?'. We were seated together in a long line so had to ask to be moved to a booth. Nothing was explained. The conveyor belt was not full as shown in the pictures, far from it. There were very few low cost options on it. It was very busy and very disorganised. It was actually a stressful experience. It took a long time to be served and the food was average and expensive, so no, we won't be going back!

We arrived fairly late during the week, we were attended to in timely and friendly manner. As you can expect options were a bit limited, quality was good, food was fresh and it was served quickly. I have to say the customer service that we received from Yacob was great. He went above and beyond to make sure we have everything that we need, I'm deducting one star only due to the fact that we asked for tab water and we were told to use the filter water and we won't be charged for it but to our surprise when we arrived home we did realise that we were charged for filter water which was a bit disappointing, also one of the dished had too much salt in it up to the extent that my lip was burning by the time I finished the dish but it got rectified when we mentioned it.

Was in Bristol to visit family, and decided to go back to Yo Sushi as a treat. Upon arrival we were taken to our seats, and that was one of two good things that we enjoyed about our experience. Unfortunately the buzzer was not working and upon informing the staff, they were already made aware of this issue. The question then imposed was - why would you sit customers there and not tell them that the buzzer was not working?! The remainder of the time was trying to attempt to gain the attention of the staff; and were visibly ignored. The food was below average, with the exception of the salmon nigiri. A disappointing experience.

Came here for a bite to eat after shopping. Sat at the bar, hardly any food on there. Decided what we wanted to eat and then pushed the button which didn’t work. Flagged down a member of staff who explained none of the buttons worked on this side of the bar (better to inform when we were seated) staff seemed very unhappy, like the really couldn’t be bothered. This place was so worried about fulfilling deliveroo orders that there was only a few options available on the belt. Edamame beans followed by edamame beans, edamame beans, ohhhh some sushi, edamame beans, edamame beans, edamame beans, edamame beans! Argghgghhhhhh?!?!?! Everything had to be ordered, but the staff were so busy preparing for the bloody deliveroo driver stood awkwardly in the entry to the restaurant that it was three or four times of pressing the button before service came your way. Either employ more staff or don’t take deliveroo orders as this was a terrible experience for what was supposed to be a nice Saturday night out

Visitar un restaurante con mis amigos veganos suele ser una molestia porque nunca podemos encontrar platos sostenibles, sin embargo, con la oferta del Miércoles Verde y un menú completo repleto de opciones veganas, este viaje fue el paraíso para nosotros. The food is good, but the service is below average. I've been there a few times. Every time I got there, I had to wait a while until someone came and led me to a seat. Sometimes I waited long long time. And then I had to wait at least 5 min each time after I pressed the button. And after they took my order, it took a long time until the food came. If you don't have enough time to waste, then don't come to this restaurant. Also, don't come here after 8.30pm, because they'll tell you they are running out of noodles, prawns, etc.. Lastly, don't forget to count the price before you pay. They counted my bill wrong twice.

Have visited Yo Sushi this evening having been many times and enjoying the food. However, this evening was unacceptable with very poor staff and service. Having to wait 20 minutes for a glass for the water is outrageous and then having to wait a further 20+ minutes for service to pay our bill (pressing the attention button 4x). The member of staff eventually approached us with a poor attitude and rude behaviour. With their only reply being “there busy” where in fact I have watched them chat with there other colleagues at the till ignoring myself and other customers. Unbelievably poor service which will certainly refrain me from going back in the future.

In a restaurant only 60% full, the only disabled/disability/wheelchair table was given to a family of able bodied people just infront of us, we were told to come come back later if we wanted to eat... most decent people would of asked if the disability table could be used by the disabled people. When I questioned the manager if there was something they could do cause there was plenty of spaces in the restaurant the reply was a ‘sorry no they wanted that table so you’ll have to come back later... ‘ with a fake smile and head tilted to the side. Wow. What’s the point of a disabled access table if you give it to able people not eating and send away disabled wheelchair users. Also the waiting staff watched me struggle in and out trough doors difficult to open with a wheelchair. Thoughtless.

Been to this branch a few times and never had a problem until yesterday. I went with an older friend who needed a seat with support so I asked for a booth to which the response was ‘oh seeing as it’s blue plate Monday we generally keep them for big groups’ bearing in mind it was only us two in there and there’s no signs saying the seat was reserved or anything. So we were placed near the entrance door where every time someone came in we were blasted with cold air.

I went in last night 24/02 at around 6:30-7 and the waiter who served us (after waiting ages for anyone to come over) was one of the rudest waiters I’ve come across. He literally sighed when he came over and was like “what?” Then took our order and walked off. He was abrupt, arrogant, couldn’t crack a smile or say thank you. Honestly I’ve never been so shocked, if he had something going on that caused that mood he shouldn’t have been customer facing. Awful service! Just been in after making a special trip with my 9 ye old sushi obsessed child! We stood behind a similar family prepared to wait as it was busy. In the time we stood there no member of staff addressed either us or the family in front! Not a single acknowledgment. When a table became free the family in front apprehensively moved to it . Still no service from a member of staff. Suddenly a lady appeared to be coming our way we smiled and she literally ignored us and physically blocked our gazed by turning her back. Much to our child's disappointment we left. This is actually the second time we have been to this branch and last time it was bad service too. We always went to the Bath branch until it closed and the service was fantastic. Such a shame as the food is usually good, but with such an appalling attitude towards its customers we shall not be returning. Having worked in retail for years I know being busy doesn't mean being rude to your customers!

Excellent service and atmosphere, I love the revolving belt! The prices for each plate vary according to colour and we noticed there were almost no options for the less expensive choices on the day we went. Some great toppings and variety but the backbone of sushi, the rice, was quite mushy and this was very disappointing. A side of ramen really lacked flavour and the noodles lacked texture. Our bill, without drinks or dessert, was almost £100 for 2 females. I think this is the only the second negative review I've ever written as usually I'm quite low maintenance but I felt very cheated. It's Itsu for me from now on for my sushi, a fraction of the price and much better quality.

I went here with a friend for a lunch break while visiting Bristol. It seemed quiet but we didn't realise that there were two other rooms, so it would be great for a group or a large party of people. Service was great, despite the fact that we couldn't use the QR code to order or pay. Staff were really friendly and didn't mind explaining the menu. We both chose the Sunflower bento box which turned out to be delicious. I've had Japanese style food from chain restaurants but this was so much more flavourful and different. I'd definitely go there again the next time I'm in Bristol. As an aside, I love the washbasin in the ladies!!
