The best restaurants serving Japanese food in South East

Exceptional coffee, the best in Hastings but the presence of a dog behind the counter was a big put off for any future visit.

The folks at YR Sushi were absolutely lovely and we are so happy to have found a local place that does sushi, and with great quality and service! We ordered dinner from them to be delivered for our small zoom wedding day and it was such a nice treat. We will definitely order from them again!

This was just an outstanding experience. The food was unusual creative and delicious. Each course was really different and a delight. Our hosts were fun and conversation flowed. Definitely going again !

Only recently discovered this little gem. It's one of the pop up style food stalls in the Open Market and the food is amazing. you must try it!

I tried this for the first time tonight. I ordered the Katsu Salad. It was really nice and I will definitely be doing this again. I ordered via Deliveroo and the service was quick and the presentation of the food was good too.

Absolutely delicious sushi. Freshly made, really nice chap at the counter, gave us plenty of help for new stuff to try. Had seem Dragon Eye Rolls, gosh they were yummy! Will definitely be back - so much nicer having sushi made to order.

Really fresh delicious sushi. Spicy salmon poke bowl was generous and excellent quality. Spider roll was unusual , miso aubergine really delicious and tuna maki lovely. Whole order was delightfully presented and decently sized portions and we will certainly reorder from this team. Only thing that took the shine off our order was discrepancy between original order estimated time (given as 35-50mins at time of placing order but Uber eats) but only finally arrived 1hr25 later.

Excellent vegan Asian small plates. Crispy tofu especially good. Not the cheapest but 75 for two including service and alcohol not unreasonable either. Well worth a visit.

Great takeout. Tasty, fresh food, super quick service and delivery.

Not sure how this place is rated so well? The service is good. But the food is so mediocre, like something you could make at home. Doesn't taste authentic or good at all. Especially the noodles. The broccoli is such a weird touch and the noodles are not soft.

I love it, I love it, I love it. Ventnor is a little short on good places to go for a drink but this place excels itself and the bar food is second to none - I mean really, when we have visitors we always bring them here and not one has come away without saying its better than anywhere they've been in London. Good value too, to boot. I love it here and you will too.
