Went here for my daughters 21st. Wow. Incredible service, food and value for money. Dont hesitate, have lunch or dinner here as soon as you can.

Lovely, Friendly accommodating Japanese Restaurant, nice service and well presented food, appears to be family run & the staff are eager to please guests ensuring that everyone is enjoying the nicely presented food. Large choice of food available and although a little on the pricey side worth it particularly for special occassions

Myself and 13 members of our Jiu-Jitsu school ate at Yamazaki to celebrate my birthday, on a Friday night. The food, the service and the welcome could not have been better. Naresh (the boss) was gracious, warm, patient, and a real gentleman. The serving staff were fantastic and the chefs were lovely too. The restaurant is immaculately clean, and - one of my favourite things - you can see the food being prepared in the open kitchen. We had a great night with great hosts. It was my second visit to Yamazaki, and it won't be my last. Fantastic.

One of my favourite restaurants ever. Called in for lunch with a friend yesterday - we were the only ones in and, honestly, this place deserves better. The food, the reception and service from the lovely owner, the cost - everything. Amazing as always.

Food is always really good whether it is sushi or hot food. The service is really friendly and they serve a great Japanese beer Hitachino Nest Red Ale

A very special little restaurant in Basingstoke and well worth finding. Prices are very reasonable, the food seems fresh and tastes great if you like Sushi or Asian fusian cuisine. Phone reception can be quite bad inside the restaurant and I'm not supportive of paid customer WiFi, thats a massive no from me, hence a mark off for atmosphere. Overall though 9/10

Not sure how this place is rated so well? The service is good. But the food is so mediocre, like something you could make at home. Doesn't taste authentic or good at all. Especially the noodles. The broccoli is such a weird touch and the noodles are not soft.

The sushi look empty… they need to have more filling and add more tempura sushi options. I also wish they used less cucumber and more chives.

Been here a number of times now. The food is always good and we've tried a number of different dishes - it's always tasty and good quality. The tables and seating have been recently refurbished, and it's comfortable and pleasant. Service always quick and friendly. We enjoy eating here when in the area.

I waited nearly 2 hours for my order to arrive and when it in theory arrived it was nowhere to be seen. Was not received or delivered. Driver was messaged with confirmation on my location and no attempt made on their part to find me.

The food scene in Basingstoke is average at best, but there are a few hidden gems to be found. Yamazaki is definitely one of them. The food is consistently delicious. The staff are lovely (the owner will greet you with a friendly smile when you arrive), and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We highly recommend this place. The sushi is fresh, and well prepared. The ramen is absolutely delicious - every time. We take our toddler who loves the noodles and boiled egg on offer too!

The sushi was definitely not fresh, I have never eaten such dry sushi in my life. The salmon on top did not seem fresh either, because it was dried out. The shrimp tempura was soaked in old oil... it was inedible bad food. Waste of money.

Great food, fantastic service. Ordered a selection of sushi and sides and even managed to fit in some yummy mochi balls for dessert. Would definitely recommend. Will be coming here again.

Fabulous! Freshly made as you wait, helpful waitress to guide you through the menu if you're not familiar with Sushi. The rice and noodles were perfect in that we ate more than we should have done! Good value for money, will come here again.

Great service. Good sushi. Teriyaki beef was fab. Relaxed environment. Portion size could be larger. All beef and chicken dishes are halal.

My absolute favorite restarunt in the whole world!! Food is amazingly tasty, staff are lovley people and the atmosphere is great! Portion sizes are great for the price! 10000/10 would absolutely recommend.

This was either a 3 or a 5. There was a lot of choice and the price was reasonable. I did find the food a bit bland though and the fish was a bit floury. The noodle dish was overcooked. I couldn't figure out if it was meant to be like this or whether mid week evening didn't have ebony people coming through. Ill definitely go back to confirm.

2nd time we have used Just Eat and second time our order was late, by 50 mins!!!!

Its so peaceful and calm in there. They are all so nice to you, and the service is really good. Very hygienic. Good prices.

Really great food and accommodating staff

I ordered a platter of 14 pieces of sushi. Not only was it very overpriced compared with well-known restaurants with much nicer locations, but the sushi also had some kind of stones in it.

Not as good as the competition. Disappointing for the price. Will not order again.

Amazing the food is delicious and the staff very helpful in helping me order and Try something new. Would most definitely recommend. Friday night's seem to be busy past 6 so book a table!

This place is really nice and has a cosy atmosphere. Food is delicious and the menu has a lot to offer, especially the variety of sushi they have. Lots of vegetarian options. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a fantastic meal here, the previous reviews were not wrong. Attentive, but not over bearing service, fab sushi, and a great spicy sesfood soup. Tucked away down an alley, you wont be disappointed.

So yummy! Been a couple of times - love the sharing platters such good value and amazing flavours - good opportunity to try things I would perhaps not otherwise choose. Atmosphere is lovely and relaxed.

We came here for lunch and everything we order.. we demolish it as it was delicious. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was calming.
