The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Oxford South East

Found this place spontaneously whilst visiting Oxford. There is no booking system so you queue outside but the queue moves quickly. The restaurant itself is very small and cosy but this isn’t a problem when the food is so good. A generous sized portion for a great price and tasted beautifully fresh. Highly recommend.

Everything was very good ! Food , service and atmosphere. Abraham went above and beyond and helped us to choose from the menù and gave few recommendations. The cocktails were very nice too! We will definitely come back.

This is my favorite Japanese in Oxford with authentic Japanese Dashi taste. The owner is Japanese with very popular with local residents. You have better book a table if you want to dine on Friday or Saturday. I went to Saturday night and a couple of people for walk-ins were unable to get tables.

Tout petit resto japonais, cusine fine et vraiment bonne, plat autour de 12 livres, peu de places mais on peut faire la queue pour attendre son tour ! Ramen ou sauté de poulet et nouilles très bons.

Unfortunately had a really poor experience here. Staff weren’t friendly whatsoever, you get charged more by approximately £1 per item for eating in?? Despite not being given any different service whatsoever than if you were to take it away? School dinner type trays, take-away unnecessary plastic packing. You have to pay extra for soy sauce and wasabi…dirty tables, seats all stained with soy sauce, toilets dirty. Certainly won’t be returning here nor any other Wasabi for that matter.

One star because I can't put 0. Microwave food, not even the good quality one. Extremely bad flavor.
