In short: one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The chicken teriyaki was microwave-blasted and dryer than the Sahara desert -- all served in a flimsy plastic container (we were sitting down) at a whopping price of £8.99. I've walked past this place several times and noticed that it's almost always empty, dimly lit, and generally soulless, so I really should have known. I'm honestly surprised that they've managed to stay in that location for so long. Avoid at all costs.

This is, by far, the worst food experience I've ever had in Oxford. I could bet it the meal had been microwaved. The ingredients were dry and the sauce was clearly from the supermarket bottle. (I can do it much better without much effort). I paid almost 9 pounds. Very pricey for the quality and for the quantity. I don't recommend it.

Stopped here for lunch as was working in the adjacent college and ended up with a very expensive microwaved inedible meal! £8.95 for 6 small greasy microwaved pieces of pork belly along with a scoop of microwaved rice (cold on the outside, thermonuclear on the inside) and a few bits of greenery which had been stewing for hours if not days. Popped in here for a quick lunch to break up a long day. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. £10 for a tiny bowl of microwaved beef noodle soup, and small bottle of water. The 'beef' barely resembled meat and was a terrible grey colour, the soup slightly more tasty than a pot noodle. All served in a small plastic bowl, with a plastic teespoon to drink the soup. Very disappointing, save your cravings for the weekend, go to Red Star and get some delicious, well portioned food for nearly half the price.

If you want overpriced microwaved food, this is the place! I ordered a “grilled chicken” Katsu curry Bento for £8.45 and I got a dry microwaved hand-shredded chicken meat with extremely salty readymade curry and barely edible beans. My friends ordered a fried rice set and it was obviously microwaved. The fried rice was microwaved white rice with excessive oil. The miso soup was also the worst soup that they have ever gotten. All in all, I definitely DO NOT recommend this ‘restaurant’ because you can easily make their food at home in 5 mins at a much cheaper price.

We ordered from here through Deliveroo and certainly won't be doing so again. The order was chicken gyoza, salmon and tuna nigiri and salmon sashimi. The gyoza was ok but the 'gyoza dipping sauce' was just malt vinegar. The fish came without soy sauce, wasabi or pickled ginger, which was disappointing. Also the nigiri rice was a tiny badly made ball that simply fell to pieces when handled. In the end it didn't matter because the salmon was so past it's best that we didn't eat it. Definitely won't be eating here or ordering from here again.

This is a fantastic place. The bad reviews are clearly looking for classic restaurants when this is a traditional-style food bar. The ingredients are fresh and good quality. No, every meal is not cooked to order from scratch but that's not what this place is about. It's home-cooked, simple, traditional fare that is great-tasting and fantastic quality. The gyoza are soft as they are steamed and then sautéed not deep-fried. The prices are incredibly reasonable for Oxford and the staff are great. Please don't treat them as you would a waiter at a restaurant - this isn't table service and you shouldn't complain if you don't get it. At lunch times, this place has queues running out of the building and there's a reason for that. So many places in Oxford get shut down as they're competing with a huge number of food places. It would be a shame if such a fantastic place suffered the same fate because a few people were expecting tablecloths not benches.

I ordered a Chicken noodle soup which was spicy and delicious. We got take away, the drinks are a little over priced. Service was quick and friendly, helping us understand what was in each dish. The tables were clean and the restaurant was nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend the chicken noodle soup, and I will certainly be returning.

The environment is not that good but the food is alright. Slow-cooked pork belly with rice is delicious. I will recommend that.

I often eat here and take any friends or family whenever I can. Food is quick, tasty and more authentic than any high street chain. The buns are not to be missed, I will often drive out of my way to pick these up. Reminds me a lot of places I ate in Hong Kong.

I heard it was awful and when my friend brought me there I was really upset at the start. The whole setting looked quite simplistic and rather unpolished, but the food was better than expected. The assorted sushi was actually quite good. I also had green curry here but the curry was not as good. The rice was great though. Other than selling food, Moshi also sells cooking ingredients so it's really convenient for such people living nearby as me!
