Absolutely fantastic ramen shop in the heart of Oxford. Word of warning around lunch time - this is a small shop so there might be a queue (expect a wait) but the food is totally worth it. The pork tonkotsu ramen is on another level and definitely worth a try. Can't give a full five stars since we did wait and we sat outside but an absolute worthwhile gem to visit.

The spicy tonkotsu and ebi katsu tastes good. Although not a fan of the salad leaves as part of the vege on the ebi katsu, they can do better for the price. Avoid the whiskey soda, you barely taste the whiskey, I tasted more lemon than i did whiskey.

Fantastic Ramen and really yummy crispy gyozas. Had a bit of a wait outside at lunchtime, but for good Ramen on a cold January day I really didn't mind. Best food I've had in Oxford! The ramen was pretty much perfect. Fresh ingredients, the right amount of richness, just enough saltiness, and the spice level was right where it needed to be. Only thing I will say is that the drinks are overpriced; no one should be charging 3.20 for one class of coca-cola. Nevertheless, I had a phenomenal experience and the staff was welcoming. I am so happy I tried it and will definitely be back again...it'll be great if Oxford students could get discounts.

Got the beef tantan ramen. Food's good with punchy broth (with some spicy yet not the kind of flaming-spicy sensation) and succulent noodles. Service wise the wait was quick, only about five minutes but they couldn't wait to kick us out even when there were so many empty seats and nobody was waiting outside for seats. Otherwise I liked the broth it was strong and on the saltier side. I normally don't drink the soup but I pretty much downed it to the bottom. Portion was just nice for me. A Worthwhile Visit to a Japanese Gem in Oxford After hearing positive reviews and seeing tempting photos of their ramen dishes, I finally had the chance to dine at this Japanese restaurant in Oxford. The ramens certainly lived up to their reputation of authenticity. I opted for the spicy Tan tan beef ramen and was genuinely impressed by the flavors. It was a satisfying and delicious choice. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall pleasant experience. My husband tried the octopus pancake and ebi tempura. He enjoyed both dishes and found them to be flavorful and well-prepared. Overall, this restaurant proved to be a decent spot for Japanese cuisine in Oxford. While I enjoyed the meal and the ambiance, it's worth a visit if you're looking for an authentic taste of Japanese flavors.

Very reasonable pricing and the quality of the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend the chicken kara-age and the classic tonkotsu ramen. You can't reserve, and all your party need to be present for you to be seated. Quieter times are 5pm. Queues often 10+ people deep at peak hours (around 6:30-7:30). Little it was, with a small queue outside, but after a short wait we were seated at a couple of bar stools in a cosy, yet welcoming space. We both had the Tonkotsu Ramen , with a side order of Octopus Balls. The Ramen had a deep and rich broth, with plenty of pork. In hindsight would probably have gone for the spicy version, but very good none the less. Service was friendly and despite the constant queues outside we never felt rushed to release our seats. Visited this place recently after hearing a lot of good reviews from friends who have been. First of all, for sure this is one of the "best" ramen shop in Oxford. However, this is with the caveat that there are limited options for authentic Japanese ramen shop in the area. I had the chicken Karaage and tonkotsu ramen + extra side ramen to enjoy the broth. The chicken karaage was good. It was slightly lacking in ginger flavour and crispy coating. I understand karaage is not supposed to be very crispy, but I believe they are meant to be crispier than what I was served, which was very moist and spongy. It could be that they were left standing for awhile or I had bad luck with the quality of the chicken. The tonkotsu ramen was nice and palatable, the noodle was fine, more soft than chewy and springy, which some people may prefer, the beansprout and mushroom were nice additions however, I would not describe it as excellent nor authentic. While authenticity is overrated, I do think with the name of the shop, the broth could be more authentic than what I was served on the day. After all, the highlight of a good bowl of tonkotsu ramen is in the broth itself. The char siu and egg complimented the dish nicely, although they could have deeper flavour as well. The portion was generous. In terms of the service, I was seated promptly, as I was visiting solo, and service was quick, adequate and staff interaction was minimal. Overall, I enjoyed my visit at the Ramen Kulture. For the price and being in Oxford, I consider this place to be "above" average but "under" very good. I would not specifically go back there again nor would I refuse to go if there is no other option.
