We decided to get our dvening meal from I'm Japanese tonight as the van was conveniently outside our local pub. We had delicious vegetarian dishes, tasty, fresh and still piping hot when we got home .

Yesterday in Wheatley we tried the chicken kaarange curry with rice, chicken gyozo with rice and salad (love the yuzu dressing) and mixed gyozo pieces. It was delicious! The family is warm and welcoming and we are looking forward to working our way through the menu which includes maki sushi and vegetarian option available. Good portion sizes and fairly priced. One call to place the order and in return you're given an order number and time for pick up so no waiting around. Pay by card... easy.

It's accessible and quick meals to get for lunch from the Department of Zoology. They served very good dishes and I like all of it! Crispy karaage, gyoza and the most delicious curry udon! Perfecto!

I’m a huge fan of street food and these guys do it perfectly. Their fried chicken is wonderful- juicy on the inside, crispy outside and really nicely seasoned. I had the chicken in a lunch box with rice and pickles and some miso soup as well. I’m really glad I stumbled across this place and it’s now firmly on my regular haunts list. Try it - you won’t be disappointed.

Conveniently located in front of the Maths Department building at Oxford during weekday lunches, this very popular food truck serves some of the best Japanese food in Oxford. Wholesome quick meals for takeaway. Always delicious. A favourite of mine.

Love the ramen here. The portion is generous and the duck is so tasty. The staff is also so kind and he gave us free appetizers since we come from same country 🫶

Authentic Japanese food. The only downside is that they only accept cash.

We spent the day in Oxford and hadn't planned any dinner. Luckily Sticks'n'Sushi was able to fit us in. Initially just for an hour but then thanks to a cancellation we were able to stay for dessert as well We were a party of 4 and went for a la carte in that each of us essentially ordered just food for ourselves. They also do offer sharing platters but we tend to always prefer to just get stuff we each like Everything from the cooked food to the raw sushi was excellent The yakitori (meat/fish on a stick cooked over a Japanese grill) were all amazing from the salmon to the chicken meatballs we actually all ended up ordering additional portions of them at the end of our meal The sushi was great with a stellar variety of both classics and modern style innovative sushi recipes. One thing very nice here is that they do it properly as in that most of the sushi recipes they put the wasabi inside the dish which is how they normally do it in Japan but outside of Japan I've not seen that done much out of fear that people might not like wasabi. So that was a really pleasant surprise The classics are perfectly crafted and the modern sushi recipes are bursting with flavours. Even recipes I normally don't like were done in a way here that I actually loved it. For example I'm not a fan of cream cheese in sushi rolls. However their Alaskan Salmon roll with cream cheese was absolutely delicious as the proportions were perfect and the flavour of the cream cheese did not dominate the dish I also loved that they brought special sashimi soy sauce when you order sashimi. I think it was umami soy sauce but not entirely sure. Whatever it was it was perfect for the sashimi and much better for it than the normal table soy sauce you get Another dish I'm not normally a fan of is the Chocolate Fondant cake and yes I took a gamble and had it here but it was absolutely delicious! The matcha core really helps with the overpowering taste of the liquid centre and the combination with their homemade vanilla ice cream was perfection. All the desserts we ordered were great though from the Yuzu cake to the Chocolate Fondant cake to the trio of sorbets Price wise I actually found this to be all very reasonably priced. For the quality of the food the prices are actually quite low. You can expect to pay substantially more per person for this kind of quality in London Perhaps a good thing that Oxford is so far of a drive from us as otherwise we'd be tempted to eat here on a monthly basis! Looking forward to the next time we are in Oxford and we have no doubt where we will eat on that occasion

Really, really awesome place. We also tried to go to Taberu but it's closed. It had better reviews than sushi corner but we're really glad we ended up here. It opened our eyes to a whole world of fishy rice. The staff were friendly and helped us work out what we wanted from the menu. The place was really comfortable - at peak times people had to wait for a table but never too long. For a starter we had pumpkin croquettes which were delicious. The mayonnaise was vinegary and straight up one of the best parts of the meal. We also had agadashi tofu which was soft, sweet and in a delicious broth. We also had some edemame which were alright I guess. My girlfriend had a unagi don. I think eating eel is pretty dodgy but she seemed to have a good time. We had sets which were both great. I chose the special family one because it had salmon skin and holy hot damn let me tell you that's so good. It's hours later and I'm still thinking about that crunchy salmony goodness. It's a life changer, so good. Mackerel is my favourite fish and they did it justice on the nigiri too. For desert they all strawberry mochi but I had tofu pockets which were nice and sweet as a finale. Also we had some hot tea which was great. The glasses were so pretty they looked like artefacts from the national history museum. 10/10 restaurant it's the most I've enjoyed a meal in ages. What's the deal with the video they're playing of dodgy actresses pretending to enjoy sushi? They really went with the take where she dribbles half of it down her chin?
